It was a great experience, the food the place, everything!
Great food with better service. The tasting menu yields the best value.
Mai Tai was not sweet but ok. Clever presentation in a Spam can. All the food was very good. We had the chef’s choices to share. There was quite a lot of food. We could not eat it all. Service was excellent.
Food and service was outstanding. Loved the casual and energetic feel of the restaurant. Great birthday celebration dinner for my sister!
The food was very good, but the gulf shrimp was a little disappointing. Particularly enjoyed the Korean spare ribs, Cornbread, and potato chips.
Great atmosphere, great food. Loved the bao bun and corn bread. Hard part was finding a parking space. And hopefully I will see Stephen Curry or Ayesha next time I go there.
The tasting menu was nice. The chicken was dry, and the ribs were overcooked. Watch out for the 'special drink' they offer. A Manhattan shouldn't cost $25, even if it is served in a box filled with smoke.
Everyone when above and beyond! Thank you! Will be back again soon
Enjoyed the food, cocktails, and best server Cathy M! My hubby really like the IPA Church - he has to have it twice! I had the shape shifter TWICE! Karage, sashimi, Korean gochuchang ribs were great. Would have enjoyed larger and fewer filet beef for the shaking beef lettuce cups but the accoutrements were refreshing. Garlic fries and crab rice were tasty too. Topped it off with key lime pie! Thanks for great bday meal.
Great service and we got a birthday Sunday thank you
Service was ok
Mainly drinks with just a couple of appetizers. But high quality on the beers and cocktails. Very good service and nice vibe.
THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. seriously everything on the menu was Devine. No complaints at all.
I had been waiting to visit International Smoke for quite a while, and happy I finally experienced dinner last night. I was seated promptly prior to my reservation time, and was offered water soon after. It took another 20 minutes for the waiter to come back to ask anything further, by when I had already decided my cocktail and meal selections. The lilikoi mai tai was served in a cute spam container, an awfully small size and nothing terribly special for the $14 price. The cauliflower was delicious, the slight zaatar tahini seasoning tantalizing. The chicken karaage was perfectly moist and crispy, very flavorful. The crab curry smoke I ordered never came. The ribs were good, but were not memorable. The garlic rosemary fries, too, were pretty standard. The key lime pie was simple and delicious.
The main reason for my poor review was the poor service, inattentive, infrequent…. I had one check by the waiter during my 90 minute stay, long gaps between courses—— he forgot my soup order completely, I asked for a dessert menu and he brought the check, he brought the check with no pen to sign the receipt, he dropped off a bag of leftovers that were not mine, and appeared distracted the entire time, ultimately leaving a poor taste in my mouth
AMAZING!!! We will definitely come back again. Those cornbread were a show stopper!
It was great!
We both ordered the tasting menu. The opening item, soup and corn bread, was one of the highlights. The next four items seemed to come out all at once, which for us was a little unique for a tasting menu. The sticky rice and the beef and seafood add-ons were very good, but the seafood was limited to three items. The experience was very nice, but did not live up to the tasting menus provided by other Mina joints, including Mina's and Pabu. It was, however, more affordable and more casual.
The food was wonderful but our server, Raj, was horrendous. I have a more detailed review that won’t fit in here, but it will be shared on Yelp.
Supermodern food and dine-out experience, I'd grade a good solid B or B+. I ordered oysters, caesar salad, ribs, an off-menu scoop of ice cream, and a "lilikoi mai tai" to drink. The cocktail was served in a Spam can - I get the joke but it was not appetizing, unfortunately. 'sters ($12) were three woodfired with panko crust served atop a big bed of rock salt. The caesar was plentiful and creamy though its truffle element was indiscernible. Ribs are the focus of the menu - I got the American kind, served as a half rack ($22, about seven ea.) in a size bigger than baby backs but smaller than full St. Louis. Glaze was a nice, tangy affair with strong mustard component. Although smoked, these ribs did not fall off the bone like the most exquisite que does. Service was energetic, informed and friendly; it lagged about 5 minutes behind a good pace, presumably because of workload and how packed the place was on a Friday night. This is a bustling and somewhat loud millennials magnet that despite whatever constructive criticisms is worth a try. I'd like to go back and try some different selections.
Great food and the kitchen was very accommodating of my colleague’s allergies. I only wish the service was a bit more responsive. I would expect a greater level of service for a place that commands these prices.
Fun and hip and loud. Great service and friendly people
Favorites Korean ribs and Mac and cheese
Corn bread just ok
A bit overpriced menu
Great food, excellent service!
My brother was in town and we celebrated his birthday here. We had the best time. Not only was the food (and drinks) fantastic, the staff was amazing. They took such great care of us from the hostess to our server. They even gave my brother a birthday card from their team. So great. Thanks, International Smoke!!
I dined in with 6 and we all ordered the tasting menu. The menu has not changed since my first visit in July. If it has, it was negligible. The food is good, the service was friendly, but the family style plating makes portion control difficult and hassled, instead of diving right in, you have to pass plates around and some people may miss out on certain ingredients in the appetizers and entree. The dishes came out way too quickly, and the table was always crowded. As a result, things spill and inedible things fall in food. This place is worth a visit, but not for the tasting menu. Find what you know you’ll enjoy and you’ll leave feeling less stuffed and more replenished. Enjoy
Great vegetarian options! Standouts were the whipped potatoes, the falafel, and the cornbread. The pudding trio dessert was also delicious. Our server was personable and professional. Will go back.
The food was excellent. The music was so loud I couldn’t hear the person next to me talking. We all had to yell over the music. Was glad to get out of there. Our waiter was great, but they forgot part of someone’s order and brought it after our plates had been cleared.
There are too many restaurants with great food and an appropriate noise level to go back.
The service & food is always excellent! We are very satisfied.
It’s always great to have BBQ sitting next to Steph Curry
I've been to International Smoke a few times and the atmosphere's always right. The food isn't the shining star, it's more about the experience.
The food was very good and lived up to the reputation. Our appetizer came under a dome and had smoke inside - great. Our entrees were also very good. Each had a twist that added a unique flavor. The only problem was the seating, which was not at all imaginative or up to the level of the food.
The food was amazing!
Everything was delicious, service was good
Parking is not so good 😊
Birthday celebration was awesome!
The food was ok, ambiance kind of reminded me of an airport and the dining area was so loud we had to shoot across the booth.
The staff definitely made the experience better, but wouldn’t go back anytime soon.
It’s just meh. I wasn’t impressed considering the price of many of the items. Location and decor were great, but food and service wasn’t great.
Friendly and professional service. Excellent food. Attention to details. We celebrated our son’s birthday which we stated when booking the table. There was a nice birthday card and a surprise desert for him.
was excited to try it... somewhat disappointed. welcome was graciou. hostess super sweet and kind. table server did the minimum. nothing technically wrong, but one or two checkins over an hour long, $150 meal seems a bit light. didn't guide us well on what to order...seemed more about getting as much on the check as possible (which I understand...that's their job to one extent, but we had WAY too much food)... service was definitely not in line with the price point and vibe. food was hit and miss. Ribs great. Mac and Cheese WOW...cauliflower was meh...cornbread was meh...buratta salad also meh. Glad I went... no regrets...won't go back.
Amazing service and food. One of our party had allergies and the staff was very invested in making sure we had a great experience.
Place is all hype, not worth the price. Much better places to go to in the area
