Jackson's Bar & Oven
Every thing on the menu is amazing! I highly recommend the lamb stuffed pita, but honestly you can’t go wrong ordering a pizza or crab roll either!
I actually love Jackson’s but our server was not pleasant. She was quite rude when she spoke and condescending. I usually have good service but this particular server was not good.
I love dinning at Jackson’s. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a few years and it’s always our go to spot. The food is great, though the options are a bit limited. The service is always great. The one down side to this place is the acoustics/noise; it’s SO loud.
Quaint restaurant and we were promptly seated. The service was very good and the servers very friendly. The food was only fair. The sausage pizza was extremely salty but was promptly taken back and a mushroom pizza was promptly remade. The truffle fries and baked garlic bread were excellent. The Caesar salad was disappointing. The dressing was bland and the anchovies had no salty taste to them at all. I don’t don’t know how you can mess up a Caesar... The desserts were very good. We had the chocolate peanut butter cake lemon cheesecake. Overall, a decent dining experience but better food would have easily raised my rating to a 4.
Great food and service...noise level is the only problem
Amazing service and even better food!
The menu is varied and everything I’ve had is flavorful and well-prepared. I particularly like the lamb flatbread...such a great combination of flavors.
Always enjoyable with excellent service. Great wine, spinach salad and lobster rolls were delicious and the peanut butter chocolate cake was incredible.
Always love coming here and I’ll be back for NYE again here.
Service was excellent for a busy New Years Eve! Food was very good. We ordered the chicken wings, skillet bread, calamari salad, lobster roll sliders and the Chocolate Peanut Butter cake (which was to die for). We will definately go back.
Husband and I shared the lamb-stuffed flatbread, chicken salad, Brussel sprouts, and cauliflower. Everything was delicious except the cauliflower which was just ok. We agreed we could have just ordered the salad and flatbread and it would have been plenty. Our table was upstairs which meant the noise level allowed for normal conversation. Great service!
Great service. This establishment runs like a well oiled machine. Food and cocktails were very nicely done. Great vibe.
Great pizza and lobster rolls. The peanut butter cake is to die for! The restaurant is very noisy.
The food was great. Truffle fries are always a given when we visit. The spinach salad was huge and very tasty. All the pizzas were well don and no skimping on ingredients. The chocolate/peanut cake was over the top good. Good wine list too.
Every bite was delish and margaritas made to perfection and the dessert was also very yummy.
Jackson's is a regular for us. It is has great consistency both in drinks, food and service. We sat at the pizza bar for the first time and had a great time watching a crack staff, especially the wood oven sous chef, crank out the dishes during the evening rush. One thing that needs to be improved is the bread they serve with the mussels. It's like Texas Toast and becomes overly soft when dipped into the mussel broth. Toasted slices of baguette would be a big improvement. Also, don't be fooled by the mussels being in the appetizers, they are a fool meal unless shared.
Everything was good but the noise level was so high we couldn’t have conversation
Mussel appetizer was delicious. My sausage pizza was also very good. My friend had the lobster Mac-n-cheese. The only disappointment was my husband ordered the Undecided Pizza and it had goat cheese, of which he is not a fan. The beignets with 3 dipping sauces was crazy good!
So loud. Homeless wonder in and start yelling. Tons of noise. But good is great.
Prior to this visit I had always been seated on the ground floor and didn’t know there was upper level mezzanine seating. Our table was a little cramped - stuck between the stair landing and a server station. Other than the noise and constant wait staff traffic, the smoked chicken salad was good.
Coan the pizza maker are so friendly same as his co worker. Suzanne super nice and friendly
Food was great! Drinks are great. Enjoy coming here!
Great place. Menue is not extensive but everything I have tried and those who have dined with me all have enjoyed the food.
Service was very good.
Friendly and competent staff. Food is quite good and generous portions, perhaps a little too generous on desserts if that's possible. We wanted to try the Nutella Pizza on the dessert menu but its just too big after a meal. The chicken salad was pretty bland and needs a stronger dressing but the pizza and desserts were wonderful.
Excellent food and atmosphere.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Thank you!
Took SMART from San Rafael to Downtown Santa Rosa on a weekday at lunchtime, walked the two blocks down 4th St to Jackson's. Very convenient.
Good wines, some unusual varietals. The pizza margherita with fresh arugula was hot, with an oven-charred thin crust that was sufficiently sturdy for fingers, and very tasty. Shareable if you have a starter.
Service was a bit rushed at the start, but overall fine. They accommodated a couple of requests (the arugula on the pizza, our wines served in specific stemware--the stemware was very nice). The place wasn't crowded.
I'll absolutely be back one day soon.
Can be noisy. Could use more non rich dishes
Overall ok, we visit every year and this year was worse than last. The menu is weaker, the food less quality and overall it's now below value for money.
I'm sad about this as it was a favorite for us but now we will likes try other places
Wings are amazing as usual. New york strip was lukewarm. Service was slow.
Very relaxing for both of us. Good vibes.
The food is consistently good, and the service is beyond reproach. Something about Jacksons always makes me feel at ease. It is a comfortable place to dine.
Best chicken wings. Great service.
Have always loved Jackson's....the food, the wines, the atmosphere, the staff. I took an out of state guest there on Friday evening to show her one of our "best" restaurants in Santa Rosa...unfortunately, the noise level was extreme and we could not even talk at our small table without almost screaming. While I love Jackson's and will continue to go back for food, drinks, etc, don't go there on a Friday night if you want to have a good chat with someone.
Food was very good, service was OK, place is LOUD!!! It's impossible to have a conversation without shouting across the table.
Way too noisy!!!! Food and service was good. Hubby enjoyed birthday dessert.
Small plates and pizzas were delicious. Many choices for vegetarians. The smaller room next to the main bar/restaurant is lively but not loud, which our group apprecuated.
Our waiter was excellent but other people helping him wait table were awful. The food was very good.
Our waiter should get a raise!
The food is good, drinks are good, service is great, but the noise level is so high! It’s a great place for a date night dinner, but you’ll have to shout to your partner! Nonetheless this is an excellent place and I dine here often.
