Service was fantastic and great food. Just wish they would have read on Open table why we were there. We were there to celebrate a birthday and no one said anything or offered a dessert.
This place is stunning. A true artistic masterpiece of design. We went for our anniversary dinner while vacationing in Tulum. I was not yet aware of the owner and his story/artistic vision. While it should be known that there is no air conditioning and it’s hot, we were able to ask for a table next to an open air breeze and we were good. Our waitress Diana was very gracious, helpful, willing to speak English to us, very informed about the entrees brought out and showed us around for pictures after dinner. This place is not for the budget conscious. This is Mayan infused fine dining in a stunningly magical environment with natural elements including no ac, no electric lights, heights and views both gorgeous and bizarre. Not for kids. I’d get there for sunset.
Incredible setting .. A must for a cocktail and ambience but wasn’t impressed by the food.
This is a very interesting space, worth the visit. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. My only knock in the place was that it was very hot. Like all restaurants in Tulum, there is no air conditioning. However, there wasn’t much air flow where we were sitting, so it was especially hot.
Kin Toh was nothing I expected. It was far more than I anticipated. The ambiance, the food, the margaritas. Everything was Exceptional!!
I would suggest everyone I know going to Tulum to take the time out and visit this beautiful space.
I was sad not to get the Lobster (it wasn't available) , however the Lamb was Amazing!! My date had the rib eye and she loved every bite of it.
If you have a group, it’s definitely worth the splurge to get one of the nests. At first our group was nervous we were spending all the money for the atmosphere, and the food/service wouldn’t be good, but we were wrong. Only thing I wish is that they toured your group through the restaurant before so you could get an understanding of the surroundings and indicate what type of seat would be best for you. The staff at the front of the hotel was rude to our party, it wasn’t until we got into the restaurant that we had a good time.
It was our most expensive meal of the trip, but no one regretted going.
We had a table reserved inside and I wanted to take a picture at the table outside and the personnel didn’t let me to go there just for a picture
We upgraded our dining experience to sit in a private “nest” for 2 looking towards the ocean.... to do this we had to guarantee our meal would cost at least $500, which includes what you spend on cocktails and wine. It was lovely to eat outside! The regular inside restaurant felt very hot so we were glad to avoid that! Our waiters were attentive and friendly as was the hostess at the front. We had a great evening!
I went to Kin Toh on my recent trip to Tulum. I saw it on an instagram post and I knew I wanted to go there. It was the perfect place to celebrate my 24th birthday. It is a little pricey but it was so worth it! The views, the ambiance, the food, the service, the place itself are all perfect! It was so magical. They also surprised me with a Happy Birthday Alyssa with a candle and a few small desserts.
Gorgeous place, really unique and beautiful food. However, incredibly humid and hot in the restaurant, and some of the lights were out above our table so we struggled to see what we were eating!
The service, atmosphere and food was amazing. I suggest get a early reservation in order to really enjoy kin toh’s grounds.
Kin Toh has a very special decoration and ambiance. However the dining area is extremely hot & stifling and full of mosquitos. It was hard to finish our dishes at that temperature. Probably kitchen’s heat was captured at the dining area. They should find a solution with an air condition system and should warn people about the mosquitos.
Una experiencia inolvidable! Repetible y Recomendada.
An absolute must! From the ambiance to the food one of the best. Service A+++. Views are breath taking! An overall amazing experience
Transport to and from is expensive, receptionist was unhelpful, lots of mosquitoes, food was good but not worth the money. Overall, we felt like outsiders.
It was a great experience! From the entrance to the restaurant and walking up the stairs to really feeling like you are in the jungle. It was amazing! The food was amazing! The service was amazing! And the views were perfect!
So the food was delicious, ambiance is of course quit special. It's very expensive and there for I was NOT expecting an not correct exchange rate from pesos to dollars, which costs me an extra 30 $ ,and an angry waiter when we mentioned that the exchange rate was not correct...
So to be fair I would not go back as,I think you should treat your clients well and not rip them off in the end.
Wonderful architectural exercise.
We had Menu Degustation and it was a good way to try several different things.
Pricy but I would definitely recommend it.
After I booked my reservation I looked up some review online and some people mentioned about bad experience at Kin Toh. None of those happened to me. The view and the restaurant was amazing, services was excellent. They have valet parking for no additional cost but only tips. It is pricy but it's worthy. Remember to bring some culicifuge because you will be eating in the jungle. Very special restaurant. Never had an experience like this!
I wish i could give Kintoh 10 stars! From welcoming to presentation service and view, A1A!
Go here for a drink and nothing more. Waiter was nice but his manager wouldn’t let us take a picture? Not sure what that was about. Also food is mediocre at best and any size portions. Go to Rosa Negra or Hartwood. Much better.
Admittedly we were drawn to Kin Toh via the Instagram Hype. The space lived up to expectations, but everything else about the experience was negative. The service was rude and unprofessional. There were several spelling errors on the menu. The food was honestly just SO BAD. The cocktails (took 45 minutes to get to us) were very sweet and underwhelming. Would not recommend
Great service and outstanding ambience. It is worth the visit.
Great location and really unique experience in the setting.
But service was very poor - the restaurant classes itself as fine dining but the waiter couldn’t explain the menu properly, the amuse bouche was thrown in front of us with no explanation and there were paper napkins which did not get replenished throughout the meal. The starter was also brought before we’d finished our amuse bouche. And, payment was a shambles - the card machine couldn’t connect until after about ten tries and several movements around the restaurant to try to connect.
The food was nice but not exceptional for the price.
Overall, I think this restaurant has a way to go before it can credibly compete as a restaurant rather than a setting. It’s a shame - there are a few small tweaks that would really improve the place.
Great venue. Maitre d staff a little snooty. Food very average and pretty expensive. Lots of better options in Tulum like Kitchen Table or Loyal Order or Swoon
Overhyped and not good value for money. The portions were small and the waiter chased us and asked for more tip even though we had already tipped. Really disappointing. THUMBS DOWN! 👎
What they fail to advertise is the minimum amounts you must spend to dine in the birds nest ($500-$1000 minimum). We got (4) drinks, an app, and (2) main entrees and our meal was $250.00. You’re really paying for the experience. The food was good (not the best meal I’ve ever had, but good), portions are EXTREMELY small (I was still hungry after dinner) but I find it disturbing the truffle fettuccine was $57.00 and the 4oz. Ribeye was $40.00. We paid for my birthday dessert and the waiter kept pushing us to order when we were trying to enjoy ourselves. There were two girls in front of us that did not have a reservation and had to pay $60.00 USD to just get into Kin Toh, that didn’t include their over priced drinks. Overall, we took great pictures, basically dined in the dark for the last hour and a half of our meal and left hungry.
Hermoso el restaurante, la comida deliciosa, no le pongo ningún pero 🥰
Amazing food and better service
We came here on a recommendation from a friend who had been and Kin Toh did not disappoint. The food could have sucked and the views would have still been incredible, but the food didn't suck. The truffle oysters looked and tasted absolutely divine, was pleasantly surprised with the lionfish ceviche. i'm sure the menu changes frequently, but rest assured nothing ordered will be unsatisfying. The staff definitely made it so much more than dinner; it was a true experience.
the instagram hype for this restaurant is just exactly for instagram. the venue is unbelievable, its tarzan, very cool. the price is surprisingly decent. but the food is nothing special, just some weird dishes & service horrible. the waiter rushed thru everything from the menu to taking our orders & describing The dishes once they were out
Definitely in the pricier side but totally worth it in my opinion. Eating at this restaurant is definitely an experience. The food was amazing, but the ambiance is what really makes this restaurant special. How many others can you think of located in the tops of trees?
The food was so yummy and the restaurant was really cool. Highly recommended.
The starters were amazing.. everything was described with detail. Very enjoyable.
Amazing all round the only downer was the charge to watch the sunset on the roof even though we were eating there. Only bleamish of the evening. Not many places to watch the sunset in Tulum and would have made the evening perfect. £25 each for one drink and nibbles which we didn’t want as we had dinner booked 15 minutes after . We could however sit int he bar we can’t watch the sun set for free and buy cocktails. Would have been 5* for a birthday if this would have been accommodated
Best dining experience of our lives. Juan and Manuela were the most wonderful servers and we will cherish the memories of this night forever.
I recommend Kin Toh, the launch with hookah , the Azulik resort and the sunset experience to everyone visiting Tulum and Reviera Maya. It as amazing and romantic eco-chic experience.
The staff was super friendly, hookah was amazing...Food was over the top...I live in NYC and can claim the qulity was top chef one.. Thank you for the great experience. The staff was very helpful trough the process of making reservation as well. Great job! #JointheTribe
Celebrated my boyfriends’s birthday at Kin Toh. We had a romantic and private dinner with outdoor seating. The food was delicious, the views while dinner were great as we got to see the sunset. Our waiter Juan was amazing, he had great good recommendations and was very attentive and kind.
I would recomendable for special occasion as it is very pricey.
