Peruvian style with bomba rice, seafood medley, saffron-tomato base (cooked in our succulent shrimp broth)
Pescado a Lo Macho
Seasonal fish fillet roasted over seafood stew, in a mild rocoto-paprika sauce. Served with coconut rice
Duroc pork shoulder, slow braised in Cusqueña-aji panca paste, potato gratin & micro greens
Such a gem!
Wir hatte sehr schönes Ceviche und leckeren Schwertfisch - der Sevice war schnell und aufmerksam
Need better spacing between appetizers and entrees - they came out at same time.
Upstairs seating lacks ocean/marina views; instead mostly parking lot views.
We were advised a large party event would happen during our time there, but we didn’t realize the noise level would so loud that we could have any conversation.
It was a Thursday evening, rather busy. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed, running about. The chips were stale (or just poorly done). Ceviche was good, other starters just mediocre. Main courses ranged from quite good to terrible (the shredded chicken was without spice, like an American 1950's casserole taste). Everything was terribly overpriced, with small portions. I've enjoyed Peruvian food in Peru & at other restaurants in SF on the Peninsula, & had high expectations. You let us down. We thought of a wedding party in January, but have abandoned that plan. You seem overwhelmed & will fail if you don't pick up your game.
The food was great--- server excellent!
Weirdest thing ever ---- that I ordered a Grey Goose Martini
and was charge $1 6.00 for Grey Goose and $ 4.00 for a martini ????? arent they the same thing ? are you charging me $ 4.00 for the glass and olive> amnd $16.00 for the alcohol ? please explain that one .. Told ALL MY FRIENDS what out for crazy drink charges..
Since when are call drinks a la carte/ Depending on the liquor? olives and glass separate ??? will come back for food ,never for drinks .
Food and service was excellent. Cerbeche trio highly recommended. Great cocktail menu.
Came here to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect, food was fantastic, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great, definitely coming back
Excellent customer service!!!!
Our entrees came out before our appetizer and was incredibly slow. The paella was also super salty and the stew was under seasoned.
Excellent service especially waitress
The beauty of this restaurant is spoiled by the uncomfortably loud music. The volume of the music was more suited to a dance club. There is no dance floor here so I don't know why they have to play it so loud. We were a party of five and we could not have a conversation or hear what the waitress was saying. They must have been getting a lot of complaints because eventually, they lowered it but not enough. Music should not be the main attraction when you are trying to have a nice dinner. The food however was very good and beautifully plated. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. The only thing about the service that was off is the fact that three of us got our dinners well before the other two. So our choice was for the three to wait for the others to be served or finish our dinner before the other two were served. We will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were having an off night and we will try this restaurant again and see.
Waiting to be called to get seated. Hostess said one thing and did something else. I had a reservation. Waited 25 minutes since she said she’d call us right away. I finally had to go to her and ask her if my table was available. She said..”Oh I thought you were going to come to me when you were ready!” So incompetent!
Great food and service
A lovely Peruvian restaurant on the coast. The new location is not as dramatic as the previous one, but it makes up for it with its charming atmosphere, great food and drinks!
La Costanera in Half Moon Bay (Princeton by the Sea) was a lovely discovery! Our waitress, Pamela, was delightful and all 6 of us were impressed with our main dishes which ranged from churrasco (steak) to Adobo (pork) to swordfish and Ahi Tuna. We also enjoyed our appetizers of 3 ceviches, BBQ ribs and Yucca. We will be returning!!
Love the food and view
Wonderful food and service. Our server Ashly made great recommendations.
We arranged a anniversary night for our family. A delightful evening of delicious food and top service. Have not been at this location or was familiar with Peruvian cuisine... the experience will be mentioned to friends, and bring us back again.
Thank you kindly !
Delicious! Among the best on the coast.
Food is not good, paella was horrible! Service is ok. Don’t recommend this place!
Our server, Bryan paced the meal perfectly for us. Everything we tried was delicious and fresh.
Food did not feel worth the price or the packed reservations with limited availability. Nice atmosphere, and views.
This is a very fun place for an evening out. The service and food are both outstanding and the design itself is interesting and well done.
Wonderful food. We like sharing various plates. All flavors delicious. Service good.
The food was delicious and the service exceptional. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our anniversary/ my birthday dinner extra special! It was much appreciated and so nice to experience genuine acts of kindness during these crazy times. Thank you so much for making our night so special!! I would definitely recommend this unique and exceptional restaurant!
Food is consistently wonderful and we have tried many tapas and entrees. The atmosphere and service are also great.
Beautiful place with super view to the beach. The food was ok-ish (for the price, I'd rather go to La Mar in SF).
Service was ok, nothing really outstanding
Best dishes and drinks
Disappointed in the seating after requesting a view seat, to be put into the very back. As a long time local patron, expected more consideration, as the same thing happened on our last visit.
Limited bar selections even though there are 2 bars. 16$ to add Bailey’s to a cup of coffee? No coffee drink selections. Wow.
The food was superb as usual, but am definitely missing the vibe of the old location. Just feels busy and impersonal now.
New location is too touristy compared to old location. We’ve been going there for about 6 years. Now without a view and worse ambience, not worth the drive from sf anymore. Bathroom stalls did not close. Lomo saltado beef was oddly chopped up into small pieces. Still well done, but seems like cost savings metrics are in place. Service was lacking. Asked for items that never were delivered, yet we were charged. Very disappointing.
First time trying Peruvian food. I am a fan. The food was delicious and presentation beautiful. Also our waitress noticed that we didn't drink and instead of champagne offered us a dessert to celebrate our anniversary. She was so thoughtful. I will definitely be back.
Great service, fun venue,
Interesting menu, very tasty!
but don't expect too healthy a meal. Not many green options.
Bit too noisy for a more meaningful conversation.
It’s relatively expensive for serving sizes. Service was excellent!
everything we ate was excellent and fairly priced a great value with great service
It was a birthday celebration. They accommodated us the request to be seated by the fire pit.
The new location is wonderful but it cannot replace the outstanding views from it’s former location. However, the food, the ambiance and the service continues and is as excellent as it has always been.
Disappointed that the tuna was not available. The salmon was over cooked.
The hostesses here are terrible. They are so rude and unhelpful. We didn't mind waiting for an outdoor table since it was a busy night. We were just disappointed by how the hostesses handled the situation. They told us our table would be ready within "a few minutes." They proceeded to ignore us for the next 40 minutes. Service inside is good but don't make a reservation here and expect it to mean anything if you would like to sit outside. Don't expect anyone to explain this policy to you either.
Very uneven presentation with interesting food. Pork entree was cold while the potato was hot. Two identical ahi tuna dishes were garnished differently and one was medium, the other medium rare. Appetizers were interesting and well prepared except for the potato salad that was more like a baked potato with a spicy sauce. Mediocre expensive wine selection.
We might try it again but bring our own wine and stick with small plates
Too pricey and servings were very small.not too impressed.
Service a little slow.
