La Vecchia - Marine Parade
Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant!
Love everything about it.
The food is amazing. The Tiramisu is a MUST HAVE!
AMAZING service - everyone was very friendly and always talked to us with a smile. Great service, constant attention and consideration. I felt very tended to. Even the manager came out to ask us how our meal was, which was nice; he was very sweet. The food was delicious, the decor inside was BEAUTIFUL. I felt very nice at the table next to the window with sunshine pouring down on us. The cappucinos were yummy and the atmosphere was perfect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, visually stunning light and airy brunch experience.
Had a great time for Valentines dinner. Food was great people were great! Recommend whole heartedly!
Extremely disappointed in our Valentine’s day dinner. Wish we were notified that it would be a fixed menu upon booking far in advance for this special night because otherwise we would have cancelled (we wanted to come for the menu we know and love). The menu was EXTREMELY limited and the food was not worth the hefty price tag. We would have eaten more and paid less with the regular menu. Their drink special ended up being more than the regular drinks on the menu- it should not be called a special in that case. Loved this restaurant but after this experience will not be returning.
Valentine’s dinner. Wonderful restaurant, food and service.
We went for the Winterlicious and the food portion was small. The Seabass filet was so thin and the taste was laced with too much of sauce. To be Honest I never seen a Seabass filet that small in my life, that I was actually still hungry (petite lady). The noise level extremely high not a place to go on a date which I was there on. The service was great but it didnt match the place. Beautiful interior but it does not match the food.
La Vecchia is wonderful venue to share memories with your family, friends and loved ones. Right when you walk in you can smell the wonderful aromas of the food being prepared in the kitchen. It's intoxicating. The service is absolutely A-class. The establishment is run by true professionals who care about your experience. Everyone from the host to the server worked flawlessly as a team. Thank you again for a spectacular evening.
Great restaurant! I went there once with my family and then introduced it to my friends. We enjoyed the food and the service was good and friendly. Thanks!
Best date night ever. Great food, amazing service!
Bigger portions would have been better, but we really enjoyed our time and the unique cocktails. Great atmosphere and service.
We went there fully expecting to take part in their Winterlicious promotion. We were not given a menu offering us the Winterlicious so we thought that it must be over. However about half way through our meal we heard the table beside order their desert which matched what we read on line. So we leaned over and asked; sure enough they had ordered the Winterlicious three course meal. I doubt we will be back even though we live two doors down.
We went for winterliscious. Food was ok...nothing special.
Amazing food and service! The owner and manager was checking every table to make sure that everything was right.
We will come back.
Food was great, service was a bit slow. Overall good dining experience.
The exterior of the restaurant is deceiving, as they have an exterior storm enclosure to stop the wind from entering the restaurant. This black enclosure ought to have a sign indicating it’s the entrance door because we saw 4 groups of patrons miss the entrance all together in the evening and wandered around their patio until the door was found.
We were greeted immediately by staff and our reservation was found within seconds. Our first course of Caesar salads was a "miss", as two out of the three salads arrived without any salad dressing. The server brought us the side salad dressing which made a world of difference. The Italian mini loaf was fresh. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar was sparsely provided and already mixed. I would have preferred to mix my own. Despite the early hiccups with the starters, our main courses were spectacular. Made for short work for the dishwasher because our 4 plates were returned clean to the kitchen. Dessert included a bailey’s cheesecake which I highly recommend with its light texture, subtle flavour and dusting of cocoa, and the gelato brought me back to the streets of Italy years ago. Management visited each table inquiring about the clientele's level of satisfaction. La Vecchia is definitely an Etobicoke gem that we will return to.
Excellent food, great wine list, fantastic service. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that it was a bit too noisy and cramped...in saying this I would definitely go back unless I was going out for a romantic evening.
We decided to try this place for Winterlicious since we had never been there before. The atmosphere was nice and the menu looked great. The food was really tasty but the portions were small. I’m not sure whether their Winterlicious menu is smaller portions or whether they just serve smaller portions overall. The poached octopus was good but it was hard to find the octopus since it was sliced so thinly. Needless to say, my fiancé could have eaten more even after having all 3 courses. I’m not sure we would go back since if I had paid full price for that meal I would have been disappointed.
Took advantage of their Winterlicious offering for dinner. Two orders of the Octopus Arugula salad was delicious, followed immediately by the Veal Scallopini in white wine with a fresh vegetable medley (beans, carrots) and roasted potatoes. Finished off the night with 1 Tiramisu and 1 Sorbet. Service was fast, kind, accommodating and responsive. Mixed bag of clientele, casual dress by some and others were business professionals. The manager and host both came around during the meal which was a nice touch. I'm still salivating from the tasty veal. Will visit again, some old movie playing in the background, old pictures adorned the walls, somewhat different atmosphere from their Yonge and Eglinton area location, but the same delicious taste without the commute. Views of the lake and Toronto skyline are visible from most tables.
Would have liked a bit more time between courses - a bit rushed.
The food was excellent and the service good, but the ambience was poor. The tables are too crowded together...no sense of privacy. Such high noise levels that it was difficult to converse.
I would recommend La Vecchia for the food however I would not return due to lack of privacy and noise.
Went for Winterlicious menu, food was pretty good, no live changing but very good, large selection of wines and very good attention despite the restaurant was full.
I would recommend it for casual dates or special occasions. It has a very nice Patio
We went to take advantage of the winterlicious menu.
The restaurant was busy. Service was a bit of a wait, but overall it was a nice experience.
Our server gave us spectacular service. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu
Service is reliably friendly, sensitive and cheerful. Great choices in food and our friends were impressed with the quality which we've grown to expect. Pizzas are thin crust and delicious, and many brunch choices are well priced, attractive and delicious. Will return! Very attractive space on the lakefront at any time of year.
Upon arrival, greeted promptly. The setting was classic, yet modern. Server was polite and attentive, but not overly so. Food tasted great. The wine selection was vast. Espresso was good, but it wasn’t hot enough. Overall, would recommend to friends.
Great ambience, service & food
Great food and value for the $33 Winterlicious prix fixe menu. Will visit again.
Food was quite tasty but expensive for what it is. I would be willing to pay the premium price for overall experience. Sadly the experience is lacking. The service is terrible. Not in the sense is food or slow but they are VERY rude. From the minute you enter the door it’s clear that they favour ‘certain people’. Escorting them to their tables ahead of others clearly waiting. Those people get prime seats near to the windows. Others I guess are regulars who are treated like kings where the rest of us are ignored. I’ve tried to go to this restaurant before as I live right down the street and was told there were no tables when the couple behind us walked right in. I wrote this off as a poor hostess but it isn’t. Not to mention living right down the street, they are very poor neighbours. Encouraging their patrons to park illegally throwing cigarette butts everywhere outside and doing nothing to clean up. I have a hard time supporting this business.
It's always a pleasure to dine with friends and clients at La Vecchia. Exceptional service, delicious food, great wine list and stunning decor. I keep coming back. Absolutely addictive!!!
Really enjoyed the place and we will be coming back again and again. Cheers
Charming atmosphere with black and white old Italian movies playing on walls.....food outstanding and attentive service!
Only negative part was the lack of public parking ..ended up worth a 50$ ticket!
this place has it down pat! from the food to the service!!as well as the management!!
well organized well run!! and great food
very pleased with the customer service and the meal was delicious
I really like this place! It is comfortable and classy! Food is very good! Service is smooth and comfortable. It is pleasant place to dine and chat with friends. They have done something in the design that helps keep the noise level down.
I was here before but this time was less crowded so it was fantastic. The server Vladimir is great, friendly, provided super positive experience.
The food was great, everything we ordered was tasty and just right.
Love La Vecchia! Have been many times and never disappointed.
Everyone loved their meals
Definitely our go to for Italian
We need more good quality neighbourhood gems in the Etobicoke Marine Parade area and La Vecchia is a great addition. It is welcoming as you enter and has a neighbourhood vibe. Noticed multiple management staff walking around - should put themselves to better use when it is super busy, e.g. watch out for diners who may be looking for service when their server is occupied with another table. Will be back to check for service improvements!
Great food and ambience. Service was attentive. Beautiful decor and great music during dinner.
I went there for my birthday celebration and it was wonderful. From the intoxicating smell of tomatoes, garlic and basil when you walk in to the delicious pastas that we enjoyed it was a lovely experience. The service is formal and gracious. I'll call the bartender really a bar chef, wow he was so helpful in getting my martini just perfect and had so many exotic options. Overall, we were laughing and happy all night, the best gift of all.
