The food was really good. My husband and I had “Dirty rice” and it was delicious, very rich flavour!
Excellent tapas and paella! Would go back in a second!
Croquetas were amaziiing~ I loved every bite of if
Pan Tumaca -
*the bread way too toasted it hurts my gum
*the sauce tasted like a mix between pico de gallo and bruschetta but not tumaca
*way too saucy there it was between a rissotto and a paella
*the chicken within the paella had no taste
*Szafran was missing
Patatas bravas were good
and the service was very slow we got there at 12:15 and left at 2:15
We loved our dinner ! The flavors were ultra delicious, service was attentive and warm. We were very happy at our private table, it was perfect. Loved the restaurant layout and decor. The noise level was subdued allowing easy conversation. The only caveat is that the portions were somewhat modest for the cost, in particular the paella, (which we absolutely loved and devoured). Oh, and our drinks were fab, we especially enjoyed the smoky Dream of Greenie. We will be back !
Fantastic paella and appetizers. Sat at the bar and had wonderful service from bar and wait staff. We would highly recommend Labora for a great experience👍
Pricey but consistently great output from the kitchen. Favs include sea bass and dirty rice
we celebrated birthday party of 4. The hostess accommodated us right away, even we showed up half an hour early of our reservation. We ordered all tapas that was listed in menu. Each one was delicious and nicely presented. Our favorite was beef croquets and lamb short ribs. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful with menu .
thank you, great experience
We loved the grilled octopus and rice dishes
A great experience
Will definitely go back
The service and the food was amazing ! We just asked them to bring us some of their favourites. We were not disappointed !!
From the moment we walked in the staff were engaging and attentive. Food was yummy and quantity was perfect. Great suggestions from the Waite staff. Wine was great
Had a fabulous evening and would highly recommend and definitely return.
The fried calamari sandwich is a must try! Delicious seafood paella. Great selection of interesting cocktails.
Excellent high end Spanish tapas — a perfect blend of fusion and classics — everything was delicious and great service!
Delicious food, good service, reasonable price, would definitely reccommend and go back
Rob and Mel treat you like family! It’s always so special visiting Labora! I can’t wait to go back!
This place is consistently delicious. It is by far the best restaurant on King West and probably the whole city! All Torontonians need to dine here and often.
Extensive menu with lots of great choices. Overall everything tasted amazing. Our server was friendly. By our sixth dish, we were stuff. Our server was nice enough to check in to see if we had room for our final course, and was happy to cancel the order for us. It was the first time in my dining experience someone asked or gave us that option.
Very nice atmosphere and ambiance. Service was quick and attentive too
Food was ok. Octopus was dry and overcooked. Service was probably the worst I had encountered in along time. In addition to poor waitstaff service, they added two extra items to our bill that I noticed once I was in the cab. Called the restaurant and they actually knew what items and why the mistake happened. Was promised it would be reversed by latest next day. Two days later I am still waiting for confirmations of the reversal of charges despite two follow up emails on my part.
We loved the atmosphere, food and the staff at labora! One of the best tapas in the area and it exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to come back
We had an amazing night and will for sure go back. Our friends had never been and they enjoyed everything from food to service and ambiance. Full night out!
Really excellent meal! Surprising gem hidden on King Wes, everything was really delicious.
Very cool place with great service and outstanding food. Expensive but quality is outstanding.
Great food...love to do tapas with friends so we can all try lots of dishes. Service was excellent and kitchen was very helpful with a unique food allergy.
Excellent quality food, drink and knowledgable servers. Plenty of options for folks with gluten allergies.
The ambiance was great for a get-together, not too loud and a chill vibe.
Would go back for the paella any day :).
Food was very average. Never knew Spanish food had so much mayo on it. Beef paella had helmans tartar sauce on it...? Fish and shellfish tasted old and over cooked. Service was slow (took 20min to get a round of drink) no water refills and we were not asked for a second round of drinks.
Really lovely tapas restaurant with great ambiance. Great experience at Chef's table. Items are on the pricier side but everything we ordered was delicious and high quality.
We ordered a special Paella which was excellent! Very kind service as well
It was fine. Every other restaurant was booked during TIFF and this place was half empty. The food was nice. Nothing special. I don't really see us going back there.
The food and service were exceptional. There were four of us sharing many dishes everything was delicious. Very warm and welcoming staff.
Great overall but very slow service in spite of it being a quiet day.
The paella was amazing, highly recommended
We enjoyed our meal very much. We were caught a little off guard when the server told us we had to leave by 9:00 p.m. (we had 8:00 p.m. reservations). This was Tiff weekend so we assuming this was the reason?
Chose to do the “kitchen chooses what’s best for our group” option - ended up with a very large bill at the end of the night and we were all hungry. Fantastic food taste but not enough for our hungry bellies.
The music was far too loud.
Foods are amazing! Especially the fresh fish! Very delicious!!!
We were so pleasantly surprised by our experience at Labora. There was some concern about it being located in the club district, where oftentimes even credible restaurants tend to cater to that clientele (loud music, etc.). Labora felt like a place where people of all ages can enjoy a delicious meal without feeling like they're out of place (i.e. too old in a room filled entirely with 20-year-olds), and have a conversation without having to yell. The service was warm and professional - just perfect. We felt very well taken care of, our meal was superb and we were each greeted with a complimentary glass of cava to celebrate our anniversary. Just lovely. There was a miscommunication about one of the dishes we ordered but we enjoyed it anyway, however the server gave us a free drink each as compensation for the error. It was an honest mistake that we were equally responsible for. The atmosphere is exactly what I want in a restaurant: a warm and sophisticated design without looking like it's trying too hard, different "zones" and types of seating (i.e. high tops, counter, etc.) each with their own distinct vibe, and all of it extremely comfortable. We can't wait to go back!
Amazing tapas. We were a party of 8, so decided on the 14 course tasting menu that was all so good. You knew it was going to be good, right from the start with the olive oil toasted sour dough with tapenade. It was simple and the best we've ever had. Atmosphere - inviting, comfortable vibe. Drinks - great sangria. Food - excellent, all of it. Service - friendly and impeccable. You can choose smaller menus or just order off their a la carte. Of note... the tomato rubbed bread, jamon croquettes, pillowy pulpits (octopus), manchego with quince paste, lobster paella and ribeye. Go - it is fantastic and better than any tapas in the city!
The food was well prepared and the service was great. We will definitely visit again.
