Legal Sea Foods - Burlington Mall
As always, Legal sets the standard for where do we when you want fresh seafood.
From their signature hot rolls through their cherrystone clams up to and including a pair of the delicious entrees, it just could not be beat.
Due to canceled conference, we decided to meet friends for dinner on Friday, March 13 which was the week restrictions began being put into place due to Covid19 contagion concerns. The restaurant was no more than 30% filled. Service was fine. Food was not one of our better Legal Seafood meals.
Fresh, tasty seafood but I did have one bad mussel in my fisherman's chowder. This sometimes happens. Not a big deal. Quiet and just a nice place to eat. Always a bit costly. Would I go back and order the same meal again? Sure. I plan to do many times more.
While the quality of the seafood remains high Legal has taken away items and choices. You use to have several sides to chose from or even ways in which to have your meal prepared. I’m sure this all has to do with margins for them. Their service hasn’t been up to par which just might have to do with the tight labor market.
Legal seafood has updated their menu. Nice surprise.
The food, as always over many years, remains excellent. The mall is undergoing renovation so the approach is less than perfect but that is not the restaurant's fault. Excellent service too. We remain huge fans!
We were so happy with the Leap Day twin lobster special!
It was delicious and a great bargain.
We only wish that Leap Day happened more often!
Great value 2 lobsters, 2 sides for $29. Restaurant let my children split a meal at no additional cost.
Really enjoyed the lobster special. They were hard shell and very tasty.
We went for a lobster special and the restaurant was so full, luckily we had a reservation. The service was great despite the fact that they were so busy. The food came out right away and the lobsters were great. You were supposed to get a choice of sides according to the advertisement, however, they served everyone coleslaw and fries. I am guessing that's because they were so busy and it made things easier. It was amazing how we got everything in the right order and with perfect timing. I am going to admit, with all the new restaurants in the area you sometimes forget about the long standing restaurants. I will have to remind myself that Legal Seafood is worth sometimes skipping one of the newer restaurants.
Always good - food hot, well cooked. Waitstaff is friendly, know the menu and do make suggestions.
I am a frequent customer and I usually like the food but this time I order the lobster dinner that was in a sale where you got two lobsters for the price of one. My lobsters arrived at the table almost at room temperature with the claws actually cold, and they were overcooked so that the meat was tough and stringy and it appeared that it was cooked in water without salt or too little salt. I assume that there was so much demand because of the sale that they could not do a good job in cooking them, but I learned my lesson and I will never order a promotional item again!
Loved our server ,
Class gentleman all the way,
Lunch was nice , an timely served
We had a lovely lunch and our dishes/meals were all yummy! The waitress Tracy was very attentive. We enjoyed our visit and will go again and hoping to try the other dishes. It’s always so hard to pick just one when all of it look appetizing. Thank you for a nice lunch and experience.
The food was good but pricey
We had good service
Food is always good at Legals . Did not see our waiter much during lunch. He did bring a small dessert for my sister’s birthday , which was nice. Otherwise , he was not very attentive
Legal's nails the formula for a great dining experience. Consistently excellent, fresh seafood, solid cocktails (the mai tai packs a punch!), outstanding service (our server George is a gem), and a nice ambiance that manages to be classy without feeling fussy. We don't go out to eat very often, but when we do -- particularly for special occasions -- Legal's is always on the shortlist.
Very good I go there all the time best seafood anywhere
Got the lobster bake which was pricey. No bib, no hand wipes and advertised with chowder and got none!
Consistent quality and services as expected. We have gone to different sites of Legal Seafood and this one has maintained its quality through the years.
Server although new and I believe she said her first day, she was really good and responsive. Food was fantastic as we celebrated my husbands birthday.
It was the best food I ever had at Legal and I have dined there many, many times. The quiet atmosphere was terrific probably because it was school vacation week.
The dinner was very good. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. We had an enjoyable evening.
The food is fantastic per usual and the service was top notch. It was a full house and, because of traffic, I was late for the reservation and they were still able to seat us quickly.
Excellent overall! Great food and wonderful waiter - just expensive meal for two people
Husband said his was good but not great. He was also initially brought shrimp rather than the cod that he ordered. Mine was very good, no complaints.
The food for the price is only fair as we can get more economical and just as good seafood elsewhere on the North Shore. I think I will stick with an occasional lunch there.
Sorry but the stuffed lobster was not worth $60 that price is rediculous. The host had on snow boots and plook aid leggings. I was dressed up for a specisl occasion and she looked like she rolled out of bed. We wont be back
I liked the service. Would go back for a larger plate of fried clams.
It was great!
Tina was an excellent waitress who was very focused on the party of 11 needs! She was terrific! The table was a great location for a birthday dinner party. The food was delicious. I’m sold on this being my go-to place for seafood and get togethers.
In spite of a busy Valentine's Day dinner crowd, we were seated exactly when our reservation was for. Personable, attentive waiter promptly brought rolls, informed us of specials, and helped guide our selections. Food was piping hot, very tasty, and filling. We did not feel rushed. Enjoyable dinner out, and another consistent dining experience at a Legal Sea Foods restaurant.
Dinner with my long time Valentine at the Burlington Legal Seafood. Food was excellent and service good for a very busy night. We arrived early but due to volume were seated closer to reservation time. Had steamers, and the special surf 'n turf for the night. Ended with the chocolate dipped ice cream bon bons and coffee. A very nice date.
The price for the food served was NOT worth it. The small piece of fish could have been purchased at Trader Joe's for less. The ambiance sucked with tables so close and a noise level that made us want to rush through our meal. If it wasn't for the gift card we had we wouldn't have dined there. This restaurant remains a pricy tourist trap even in Burlington.
The best Food and Service. We have been going there for years. Always pleased with legal seafood.
This place is one of my favorite places and my kids love it however this second time we experience bad food
The service was mediocre. The food was good. Although not the restaurants fault, there was a party with long d children who were misbehaved near us.
Service was excellent.
We had a good time. Our waitress was friendly, kind. The food was amazing. Highly recommend it.
