Good service, food is very complicated, to much oil and seasoning I would say an average. Won’t come back for dinner.
The food quality this time was very poor. Have been here many times, something was off this time
First and foremost, we were extremely disappointed with the $1 oyster special. Online it’s advertised as such, however when you arrive you’re told it’s 30 oysters at $1 per bottle of wine purchased. If I’d known that, I wouldn’t have come. So be advised.
The food did take some time, which was odd as it didn’t seem particularly busy for a Wednesday evening. The oysters came in 12 and then 18. In between, our app (charred calamari) arrived. It was delicious, but not at all a $16 serving size worth. My friends both had the tagliatelle seafood pasta. The pasta was undercooked for one of the portions and both had pasta that was stuck together and hard. They also mentioned the flavour balance was off (very fishy and gritty... like sand). When they asked for parmesan, they were told it would be an extra $1.50 🙃 I had the 7oz steak frite, which was very good.
Overall, I don’t think I’d go back again. Not really worth the price for the portions and the advertising on the special was quite misleading.
Our server, however, was wonderful and made what could have been a terrible dining experience, into something great.
We got there a slightly late and close to closing time, but we were served quick and very well and did not feel rushed at all despite staying right up to closing time. Our server was kind and helpful. Food was delicious. Portions were very reasonable for this type of establishment/price. Overall it was a great experience that I would recommend to my friends and relatives and anyone who likes to try different food and cuisines.
We came here for a drink before dinner elsewhere (opentable did not allow me to leave that area blank so I had to rate it).
We were intrigued by their cocktail list and it did not disappoint; highly recommend the Gin Slip & Wine Gummie. Will be back to sample more and eat some food next time.
We couldn’t engage in a conversation with my partner. The music plus the loud conversations were too much.
Otherwise the food was delicious.
A great experience overall. The menu had lots of great options that described the dishes well. The service was helpful, friendly, polite and supportive (thanks Matt)! The food itself was delicious (smoked salmon scramble was tasty). The decor, furniture, ambience was everything you would expect for a downtown Toronto restaurant. Well Done!

Steak and Fries were really good! Service was attentive.
Music was great, food was amazing, service could be improved in suggesting meals from menu. Asked for no bacon on my cod and extra mushrooms instead. There was no bacon but also no mushrooms. Overall food was really good.
Great food, good service, nice location but a little overpriced
Awesome food and service.
Valentine’s Day - great drinks and food, a little pricey
The burrata appetizer is amazing. We went to have valentines dinner and got the winterlicious menu. But the place where we seated was cold.
We were seated near the bar and the music was way too loud for a proper conversation without yelling. There wasn’t much aisle room after we were seated so I didn’t enjoy someone banging into me with their laptop bag! Lighting was also too dark for proper dinner atmosphere; great for the bar scene, not for casual dinner.
Huge thanks to their restaurant manager Liz and our server Taylor for their excellent service and for accommodating us with our team lunch. We came in for the Winterlicious menu - loved my Atlantic Salmon and Flourless Chocolate Torte!
It was our first time in this restaurant and probably it was a mistake to start from Winterlicious, but was somewhere disappointed... will definitely go for regular meal: lunch or dinner under regular price option to have real meal and maybe opinion will change.
Great experience , great food! Love the decor and will be back. Thanks
Winterlicous menu is a really good deal, overall a great experience.
Service was super slow, food okay. We went for winterlicious and I wasn’t impressed at all... our waiter was overwhelmed and very hard to grab anyone s attention with the noise
Lovely evening. Beautiful room.
Food was good, ambience was great, service was just Ok, and the wine was terrible ( had the house red and it was nasty)
Good food, but very loud - hard to hear your
Good was just average... Would come back for drinks and try the regular menu instead of winterlicious next time but I wasn't swept away. The photos of the dishes on instagram looked different than the actual dish so I was disappointed by that.
The music was a tad too loud. Every one seem to be talking loud because of this.
The deco is awesome with high ceiling and give out this nice New York vibe. Food is decent - we tried Winterlicious menu (baby shrimp and salmon). Service is good in the beginning but our server just disappeared after the entrée course. We waited for a long time before ultimately went to the hostess for help. The bright side is they did compensated us by offering the lunch on the house. I would still recommend the restaurant if you are looking for an ambient place to chat.
Just felt a little chilly inside. Maybe just me.
Over rated. Over priced. Decent service. Freezing cold!!! Couldn't even enjoy food as I was frozen to death
The seating in the wall side by side was very awkward for dinner with my boyfriend. The service was great. The restaurant looks nice inside. The food was nothing special. Just cooked meat. No flavour. The drinks were great. The desert was so plain. For the price you pay at this place you don’t get equal value.
We loved our experience at Lena! The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and decor and ambiance is lovely. Will definitely return!
Ordered from Winterlicious menu, great service
Food was good, but you should take the skin off the baked apple. No one wants warm apple skins like that; doesn't make it any better with custard and cinnamon. Could've done more with that IMO. The server also forgot to bring a cappuccino we ordered and didn't check in as much as we would've liked.
Everything else was fine, I would definitely come back for the regular food menu.
Had a GREAT time celebrating my adult daughter’s birthday. The food, ambiance, service and decor were outstanding and I cannot wait to return there.
Excellent Winterlicious offering for lunch.
I’m glad I went to experience Lena. Overall I found it to have a wonderful ambiance. Food was good, but have had better at similar cuisine restaurants with better pricing. Like I said, very pleased to have tried this restaurant, but wasn’t ‘wowed’.
We had dinner during winterlicious and the service was very slow. The total dining time took over four and half hours, and we waiting almost 35 minutes for our mains after our appetizers arrived twice to the table. However, happy to share that the wine and food was very delicious.
The winterlicious menu is good. The food was amazing!!
Love the Art Deco look of this place. Food was excellent as was the service, very much recommend this restaurant!
The service is quite slow although it was a busy lunchtime. Food is okay, but just not good enough to justify the price point. Been a few times now for work and this time was for a personal lunch, only chose it as other restaurants were booked. So many other options in the city with better food and service at that price point that will give Lena a miss in future.
