Livia Italian Eatery - Geneva
This was our second time eating here and it lived up to our first experience and more. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb gnocchi, the lamb was tender and the gnocchi were light and delicious. My wife’s prime rib was tender and juicy. We came for our anniversary and our server gave us complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate. It was a great dinner and I would definitely recommend Livia.
Even though we arrived later in the evening our waitress was beyond fun and energetic, offering great suggestions and checking in on us just the perfect amount of times. Very enjoyable experience from start to finish and the specials and specialty drinks were great. Would definitely come back.
We enjoy dining at Livia.
Always spot on. Recommendation from server to add shrimp to egg plant parm was a great idea! I never would have thought of that. Service always perfect. When our server walked away someone else was always close by if we needed anything.
Wonderful service thanks to Nina!!! So sweet and professional. Everything was delicious.
Wife and I tried it out on Saturday evening. We had the veal meatballs and both had the lasagna.
Everything was delicious. our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Although we had a table reserved and the hostess even made a comment that she knows we would want to talk, they sat us right next to the musician at a high round 2 top. Before I could even sit in my chair, I was already getting tapped on the back to move (my chair was in the walkway, but that’s where it was set). We should have said something and asked to be moved. This was our first time out in over a decade, it would have been nice to hear each other and not have to scream. The server left us alone, which was nice to not get interrupted, but she never asked if we wanted another drink. The food was good and we stayed positive. However, next time this wont happen.
This place is a gem I would recommend everyone to visit. The food is phenomenal and the staff treats you like family, this place is an experience.
We had a delightful evening on the patio. Wonderful way to say goodbye to summer
We brought my parents and had a really lovely Sunday lunch! The “dolce” dessert is phenomenal! It’s a must-have!
Nice little place in downtown Geneva service was excellent food was equally as good On a Saturday night I would highly Recommend this place.
Birthday with family
Food and drinks were delicious—outdoor seating area is a beautiful, comfortable space. Live music was a treat!
The manager gets a gold star! My husband is vegan (due to health reasons) and she and the chef whipped up something off the menu to meet his dietary restriction....fabulous customer service! Thank you for your attentiveness and willingness to go that extra mile!
First time we were at Livias with a large group. Typically service is excellent and our waitress was professional and nice. Problem was we had a group on 12 with one server and they had other tables to attend too.
We had a lot of gaps in courses and with drinks. The evening didn’t flow well, they needed to have another person helping them for a group this large. Disappointing.
Great night to eat on the patio, waiter was really helpful and attentive, food was delicious!
We had the most amazing meal for a friend's birthday! The zucchini fritters as well as the tomato & mozzarella appetizer were so good- fresh heirloom tomato and burrata instead of regular fresh mozzarella was a nice change from a usual Caprese salad. Excellent, affordable wine choices (esp the Anthony Koster cab) and delicious entrees (blackened salmon with quinoa, chicken Marsala, pasta bolognese, and mushroom flatbread) rounded out our meal. The complimentary caramel gelato was a yummy treat at the end.
Delicious food. Great value. Excellent service. Comfortable ambiance. Would definitely go back with friends and family. Thank you!
Although we had an amazing experience a year ago, we visited for Dinner on a Saturday night after a popular local event. We waited over an hour to be served. Once we were served, the food was very good, but we also noticed the portion sizes were much smaller. All in all, we were disappointed.
Wasn't too impressed, food was tasty but not Hot in Temp, super loud inside and outside is nice but needs more options if rain starts without enough table umbrellas for coverage.
Love the adversity of the menu. Great location. Great service
One of favorite places in town!
Inside is noisy. Outside is beautiful
Sat for 40 minutes. Didn't even get our drinks. Left
I've been here before and I have liked the food. The past couple of times the service has been slow. It took forever for our waitress to come over. We had to ask several times for bread. My martini was sort of warm maybe because the waitress let it sit there so long.
We’ve been a number of times and usually enjoy our meals. Our server was perhaps new. Never introduced himself. Orders were mixed up. Lamb chops over cooked on two orders. Missing food. Under done sweet potatoes on 2 orders. One we’re good. Waiter never came back to ask if anyone wanted more wine (we had an empty bottle on table with 3 empty glasses) and when husband ordered coffee and son ordered dessert, he never asked if anyone else wanted coffee. We finally found someone to get us more water. Oh, well. It was hopefully just a bad night for you all.
We will be back, probably not soon as we would if we were still salivating from this last dinner.
A wonderful birthday dinner with family. Our server was delightful! Food was delicious.
We've been to Livias before and loved it, but this time the server did not know the menu and did not pay attention to us when ordering. Servers things came to the table incorrect. We were very disappointed.
The Bolognese pasta was delicious, especially with the additional meatballs.
Beautiful restaurant, atmosphere was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
We ate there before and had a positive experience. Recently, however, the service was awful, the portions were smaller, and it was very noisy. We arrived for a reservation @ 5:30 and were promptly seated - right next to louder group, which made no sense since the place was pretty empty. My bad, we should have asked to change to another location. My mistake, however, does not excuse that it took abut 10 minutes to even be greeted at the table, offered water, or given menus. Sure, the waitress was nice enough, but the entire dinner was always wondering where she was. No one ever even refilled our water. Frankly, what should have been an enjoyable dinner was a big disappointment.
Wait staff was excellent-the only complaint was the noise level. It was at dinner hour so maybe should be expected- I just wish restaurants installed more sound absorbing materials.
Love this place, usuall
one of our favorite restaurants! We have always had great service, meal and a wonderful experience. Our server was very that we were there to take our time and enjoy our friends and conversation. We really appreciated that!
We were happy to be seated outside as we were warned of the noise level inside from other reviews. Our server was great. My daughter and I both ordered the chicken limone - my chicken was dry. Her dish came swimming in broth/sauce; we asked for a tablespoon so I could transfer some to
Mine as it had none. Drinks are creative and good so I would come back for drinks and appetizers rather than dinner. It’s in a great location in the beautiful town of Geneva. Their sister restaurant Gia Mia in Wheaton is wonderful but Livia is lacking in the prep of their entrees.
Excellent food and service!! Highly recommend for any occasion!!
Beautiful night made alfresco dining a treat. Great service and good food added to the experience
We sat outside noise level was low. Unsure of noise level inside
Very tasty as always.
Food is all excellent....Happy Hour is a delight w/lamp chops, hamburgers, flat breads, etc. $6.00. Beer & Wine are $5.00. Wonderful start to the weekend. They have a beautiful patio that you can dine on with their regular menu.
