one of our favorite restaurants! We have always had great service, meal and a wonderful experience. Our server was very that we were there to take our time and enjoy our friends and conversation. We really appreciated that!
We were happy to be seated outside as we were warned of the noise level inside from other reviews. Our server was great. My daughter and I both ordered the chicken limone - my chicken was dry. Her dish came swimming in broth/sauce; we asked for a tablespoon so I could transfer some to
Mine as it had none. Drinks are creative and good so I would come back for drinks and appetizers rather than dinner. It’s in a great location in the beautiful town of Geneva. Their sister restaurant Gia Mia in Wheaton is wonderful but Livia is lacking in the prep of their entrees.
Excellent food and service!! Highly recommend for any occasion!!
Beautiful night made alfresco dining a treat. Great service and good food added to the experience
We sat outside noise level was low. Unsure of noise level inside
Very tasty as always.
Food is all excellent....Happy Hour is a delight w/lamp chops, hamburgers, flat breads, etc. $6.00. Beer & Wine are $5.00. Wonderful start to the weekend. They have a beautiful patio that you can dine on with their regular menu.
Always good food and flavor.
Waitstaff is fun and helpful.
Top 10 place to eat in the tri-city fox valley area.
Overall disappointing. Pricey for the quality and size of the dishes.
Service was very friendly just a little slow my drink came after my appetizer which should not happen so I ordered 2 of them for the next round. The food was great and The Eggplant was the best I have ever had will always be a customer.
Very nice local restaurant. You can eat inside or out. Service was very good never rushed. Fair pricing on menu. Food was very good and corkage fee was reasonable.
Service was excellent, we never felt rushed. We had four different entrees and all were fabulous ! Must try restaurant
It took 15 minutes before Richard brought water and took any orders. We decided right then to order drinks and meal in case we never saw him again! I was one minute away from leaving the table. Just my husband and I, ridiculous!
Great flavorful food, great service! Nirvana music for an Italian restaurant? Great spot, will be going back soon
We had a reservation but showed up 30 minutes early and were seated right away. Our waitress was great and our food was served promptly.
I enjoyed my steak but my mashed potatoes were instant potatoes. For the price, they shouldn't be freeze dried...or whatever they were. I don't eat carbs that often anymore and the for the rare occasion, I want it to be worth it. Unfortunately I was disappointed.
My wife had the chicken marsala and she said it was bland...no marsala wine taste at all.
That being said, the ambience was nice, nothing spectacular but not bad.
Food is phenomenal!! Great service
Best calamari ever! Hoisin pork chops were a huge hit with one in our party! Delicious and reasonable prices.
Wife’s birthday. The deserts was comped for my wife a nice touch.
Too loud of place to eat dinner with your family!
Food is ok
As always, Livia's does not disappoint. Four diners, all happy with their choices!
Very nice service.
Great food, great vibe. Service was terrible. Waitress would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. Needed drinks, wanted to order, etc.
Great food and attentive, friendly service!
This is one of my favorite places to bring friends visiting Geneva. The food and service are always great, but the ambience allows for conversation that can be heard and enjoyed. I especially like the big booths that can seat 6 people comfortably....even better for relaxing and conversation.
Excellent food and service too! recommendations great
The service was great and the prices reasonable. The food was okay. The noise level was awful and the tables jammed in. Not the place to go if you want to have a conversation. It probably would have been nicer if we could have sat outside but the weather did not cooperate.
We had a large group of 11 but were seated in a semi private section/ room which was perfect. Great service. Great salads. We would definitely come back, especially if such a large group as they could accommodate us.
Service wasn’t the greatest and prices were high for the quality of food received.
Food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Service was right on point. Very enjoyable meal.
Lovely little hideaway - sat in the outside patio - live music - overall great place - I highly recommend it!
Another great meal!
Very great meal and amazing scenery!
We enjoyed our meal but the restaurant was so loud that our group couldn’t hear anything each other had to say. Some kind of sound dampening accessories may help.
We sat outside so it was quiet and we could talk between the four of us. We walked inside and it was quite loud so if you want to actually hear each other easily, sit outsideAnd you will be very happy!
We both had the eggplant Parmesan with pesto linguine for our main and shared the caprese salad, so delish!!
great food great service. They changed their menu and it was awesome. Would highly recommend
Great food, perfect conversation buzz, good service, and walkable neighborhood. Go here. Eat here.
Every time I’ve been here, I’ve been seated 20-30 minutes after my reservation time. The first few times I figured it was just a busy night, but it happens every single time which is extremely annoying. If you’re not in a hurry to eat, it’s an okay place with okay food. Tables are slightly too close to each other so if you don’t mind brushing elbows with fellow patrons, this place is an average option to go for dinner.
Livia Italian has a menu that is conceptually good and well described in print, but the execution is lacking. We had their lobster bisque, avocado toast, caesar salads, crab cakes and Crab Louie salad. Although we had no specific complaints, there is nothing that stands out either. The place is also VERY noisy on a Friday night with loud, live music on top of it. Maybe better for cocktails than for dinner?
Cool, conversation-friendly environment for lunch on a sweltering hot day! Server was attentive without being intrusive, and menu offered light and delicious options like salads and flat breads. Only disappointment was that Moscato was served at about room temp and in a champagne glass and tasted "flat"--would have been better chilled and served in white wine glass.
