   Rafa, the co-owner spent two hours with me and other quests, describing the wines, and the exceptional foods (tastes, not heapings) and it was all remarkable. They make wines no one else makes, they are a low-key, family operation and I hope word doesn't get around so much it spoils the wonderful atmosphere.

   I made reservations for my husband’s birthday. We both like wine but usually don’t branch out to taste different wines. I thought it would be a nice experience while staying in calistoga for the weekend. We absolutely enjoyed our time at Lola’s- from the lovely outdoor tasting area, the pleasant and informative conversation with our wine host and the great wine! We were there almost two hours and we could have stayed longer! They also surprised my husband with a birthday song and cupcake which made his day. Can’t say enough about how much we loved the experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!

   Our group of ten enjoyed a wine tasting last Saturday at Lola in Calistoga. We also enjoyed a very light yet interesting and unique food pairing. Service and ambiance were lovely. Highly recommend!

   Where to start. Nestled alongside the road outside of Napa is the LOLA Winery. We are not wine coneiseurs by any means, so we were honestly expecting some pretentious sommelier that would think we couldn't appreciate what they had to offer, considering how highly reviewed LOLA is. It couldn't have been further from the truth. Our wine tasting was a casual, yet intimate experience essentially in the beautiful back patio of someone's home. We were treated as good friends at a dinner party with a host that knew everything there was to know about the wine they were serving. Each wine we had was fantastic. The Chennin Blanc could only be described as "gluggable", perfect for after work, relaxing at home. The Pinot Noir was floral and delicate. The Cabernet was fruity, smoky, and not too sweet. I basically only drink beer and whiskey. I'm really into microbrews and I'm dedicated enough to try thousands of them. I don't even like wine, but this changed my mind. I'd happily go back tomorrow.

    Came to Calistoga/Napa Valley to learn more about wine and Lola Wines' tasting room/patio was an awesome, fun, and informational experience. Our wine expert, Maria (not sure how to spell their name, sorry!) was phenomenal. They took their time walking us through each of their wines thoroughly and in short was just a great time sitting in Lola Wine's dope patio on that cool, sunny early afternoon, drinking great wine!

    LOLA has amazing, knowledgeable staff, a beautiful setting and very nice wines. Their unique food offering, Cortez Conservas Bottarga, as a pairing, made the unique and interesting experience even more unique and interesting. What more could one want? We loved it!

    LOLA is THE hidden gem of the Napa Valley. incredibly passionate & gentle approach to the winemaking and service. We highly recommend LOLA to anyone that is visiting wine country. A wonderful surprise!

    Super relaxing and loved not feeling rushed - you could taste at your own pace, seated comfortably under the palms and cozy blankets on what felt like my favorite aunt’s back patio. Unique (and very tasty) well-crafted wines.

    Service was great (girl was really nice), but place felt cold and just lacked warmth overall. Cheeseboard was terrible. Wines were very okay. Not the experience I was looking for during our weekend in wine country.

    Cory was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the winery and the area. The setting is intimate and we had the entire place to ourselves. This cute little farmhouse is perfect for a cozy tasting by the fire. Great wine, 6 pours for $35 that can't be beat. We ended up buying 3 bottles! Highly recommend

    This was the highlight of our anniversary weekend in Calistoga. Not only were the wines and food really delicious, but prices were reasonable, the patio area was really cozy and cute, and the staff was amazing. It was very approachable for someone like me who has never been wine tasting, and my boyfriend and I both agreed that we have to come back

    My friend and I had such a great experience here. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and calm. The entire staff was very informative and friendly. I would choose the Lola House over any large winery in the valley. Their Pinot Noir is one of my favorite wines. Highly recommended!

    Very restrictive cancellation policy. Was held up and missed our afternoon booking and was told the $25 deposit could be used as a credit for wine purchase--but only if we made it there before 4:00. Why the strict time limit on using the credit? Seems crazy. Would have happily gone the next day to purchase a couple of bottles, but was somewhat put off by the rigid policy and will probably never go back.

    A true Napa Valley gem! This was our first visit to Lola and found some amazing wines and hospitality that was over the top. Corey guided us through a tasting that opened our eyes to varietals we have never enjoyed in the past but Lola changed our minds! The dry riesling is nothing like you've ever had and will be sure to make you a forever fan! The ambience of the little restored home is very inviting with all the perfect welcoming touches and decor. We will definitely make this one of our must-stops any time in Calistoga!

    We booked a tasting here mostly because there was a reservation available and it was close to us. We're so glad we stumbled across LOLA! The wines were super interesting and well-priced, and the service was excellent. Bonus: cute dogs that like pets! It was fun coming here after our visit to a bigger winery. Both experiences were fun and complemented each other nicely. We'll definitely be back!

    This was the only winery that we went to on our trip to Calistoga. The exterior is very unassuming and it is facing the busy street so we thought it wasn't going to be good, even though it had great reviews. BUT it surpassed my expectations. When we walked in we were a little early (30 mins) so we asked if they could take us early. The man serving was so nice and said yes yes of course and seated us right away. The seating area is in the backyard of a small house that was converted into a winery. The house belonged to the family. It is surrounded by a wooden picket fence and lots of plants. What's great is the trees provide perfect shade so that you get some light but you're not scorched by the sun. They were playing rastafarian music and it felt really relaxing. My husband said that it reminded him of Santa Cruz. It is the opposite of a large commercial winery. The people who pour the wines are all family and you are treated like a real guest, it's warm and friendly AND the wine is sooo good. The wine is very unique and full of interesting stories that are unlike the stories I have been told at other wineries. Aaanyway, it feels like you are in a friend's backyard chilling out and being treated to some good wine. It was not expensive either. Unpretentious is a good word to describe it. I'd recommend it and I'd go back again sometime if I'm lucky enough to be in that area again.

    The Owner, Rafaela (sp? Rafa for short) is a lovely woman who truly cares about the people who visit. She is a true delight! The garden setting is lovely and makes you go "ahhhh" (as in very relaxing, spa like experience). Rafa seemed appalled when we mentioned that another place was hot with no fans for comfort. Here there is a fan, with a bottle of water provided for hydration. The wines were lovely as well. We bought the Rose for $20. Definitely recommend!

    As a local, I don’t know why I waited so long to visit Lola. But as I heard more and more about their very special wines, I was able to book a tasting for three yesterday. The garden tasting areas are lush and cozy, the wines spectacular, owners Rafaela & Seth tell their wonderful story. It was such a lovely visit, the ambiance and presentation so charming I immediately joined their wine club and I look forward to enjoying their wines often.

    Worth the visit! Make it your first stop. Their wines were made from”historical vines” … my favorites were Malvessia & Pinot Noir Russian River. Best paired with their Bottarga. Corey took time out to explain each wine and best paired with food. My friend enjoyed their Chenin Blanc, and Corey called the working wine. He told us about Calistoga’s wine community and recommended places to dine in their quaint town.

    LOLA is a small, family-owned winery that is a must-visit for us now. The tasting room is beautiful, the people are lovely (Rafaella was our guide, and she was just so great), and the wine is excellent. Great ambiance, and they make you feel as part of the family. Definitely worth it!
