Lolinda was absolutely fabulous. I went with two friends and had an amazing meal. It was a little too dark to read the menus and it was a little too noisy, making it sometimes hard to hear. But the food was phenomenal.
We did a bunch of small plates and one entree that was served as a shared plate. All the meats were fantastic. For veggies we just did cauliflower and some peppers, which were equally good.
I can't wait to be back.
I have gone to Lolinda with groups and a friend since they opened years ago but on Friday, the food was just alright ( and get usually get the same things ) ...pollo empanadas where not as filling as in the past and the salad needed more dressing. I asked my waiter to asks the bartender to make a drink that they no longer have on the menu called the Oaxaca Cross and they did not even try to attempt to make it and in the past they have always done it.
Not sure if I will go there again.
Really nice Argentinian steakhouse! Pricey, but worth it, with super flavorful food and an interesting variety of items on the menu. The decor and ambiance are cool, though a bit dark, and it gets pretty crowded so definitely consider a reservation. The waitstaff was attentive, though almost too attentive and grabbed plates away multiple times before we were totally done. The wine list is pretty extensive and the cocktail and spirits menu is pretty good too.
We had the ceviche mixto which was really flavorful with a bit of a spicy kick and really nice quality seafood (fish, shrimp, squid). We also got the flat iron steak (some of the best steak I've had outside of Texas) and the pork chop (a huge piece that had an amazing, almost caramelized crust on it while still being pink and juicy and tender on the inside) and they both came with a great chimichurri sauce. For sides we got the asparagus with manchego (which again had a great flavor with the cheese and saltiness on top of the tender asparagus) and the mushrooms (which was a huge bowl of amazing mushrooms sautéed in what I can only imagine is many pounds of butter and they were amazing!).
Great flavors, awesome ingredients, excellent meat, veggies, and drinks and absolutely worth the price.
Service was very attentive and warm, but room was rather cool, my wife had to keep her acket on. Ceviche had 5 small pieces of fish. Roasted artichoke was so hard, you could only suck on it. Fried yuca saw a little too much oil. Short ribs were good. All in all in our experience: disappointing in both quality and quantity, and overpriced.
Lolinda is my perpetual happy place.
Service was slow and inattentive which was new for us to experience here. Drinks were forgotten, and came long after the starters. Our waitress rarely checked in on us, and we had to ask bussers to get her attention more than once. Luckily the company and food were great, otherwise it would have been a very painful dinner.
Dependeria de la edad y de lo molesto que le resulte el ruido ambiente
Best food experience I have had in the 1.5 years of living in San Francisco
Came here for my boyfriends birthday dinner. Great atmosphere - quite loud and energetic. Service was great - our host was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Food was delicious!! Ordered a few appetizers and a main steak dish to share, tapas style. Pleased with my dining experience and will definitely be coming back soon!
Our third visit and unfortunately the food execution was off this time. Both the rib eye and skirt steak were cooked medium to medium well while we ordered them medium rare. The appetizers were on point and delicious. Our wait person and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.
Slow service. Food just ok. But the noise level is such you can’t have a good conversation without yelling. And u are packed in there super close to other diners.
We absolutely love this place and have taken a number of folks to this restaurant. Typically, we start at the Bar which was no different this time. We had manhattans that were to die for, with a cucumber drink, and scotch. Bartenders were terrific. Our appetizers were spot on with the cauliflower, corn empanadas, and the pork bellies....absolutely spot on. for our entrees, we had the steak and the grilled pork chop which again were spot on and absolutely delicious. Followed by warm churros with chocolate and vanilla sauces....all delicious. Not anything to take home it was that scrumptious!
Service was absolutely wonderful by Javier "UNTIL" the bill with a surcharge for corkage. Of note, we had a bottle of wine from the restaurant not by bringing anything in. This was the disappointment for our table, to have a bogus charge, which was removed promptly when we pointed this out to Javier.
This is the ONLY reason we rated the service a "3" and the overall a "4" otherwise you were spot on. (but you need to know this)
We'd still recommend Lolinda and in fact inquired about an event upstairs with our SFBTC group but we must make sure accuracy in customer charges is done.
Everything we ordered was very good. I would definitely come back. And they had proper tequila.
We had a great experience. We started before dinner on the roof at el techo, which has nice views and good happy hour choices. And then down at Lolinda the drinks were great and unique. I don’t remember the names but I had a variant on an old fashioned with scotch, passion fruit (this was subtle) and chili pepper, and the chili and smoke worked really nicely together. We had the ceviche which was light on seafood but tasty, and the pork belly appetizer which was excellent. The crown of the meal was definitely the ribeye (we split the smaller one by two and it was plenty.), which was the best ribeye I have ever had. We ordered it medium, and the grilled flavor was fully developed and the fat was melted, the richness accentuated by the butter on top and the chimichurri. We had the mushroom side with it which complemented the meat nicely. Highly recommended!
Lolinda is a SF Mission mainstay – I hope it is here for years to come!
Great, lively spot for dinner and drinks!
Very good food and service but very noisy and dark. Next tine i would like to sit upstairs:
Excellent service and of course the food is amazing!!
The food was very good. The service was okay. There was a lot of mistakes happening not only to us but all the tables around us. Our waitress was very nice and we did enjoy our time.
Delicious food and excellent service and the prices were very reasonable.
Incredible food! Was noisy and a bit dark. Seems like a very nice restaurant in a bit of a up and coming area.
Awesome food, great service, and the atmosphere was what I expected. Definitely coming back!
Lolinda is absolutely amazing, food was phenomenal so was the atmosphere. Celebrated my GF’s birthday, couldn’t have picked a better place, hoping to make it a yearly tradition.
It rivals the best steak houses in the area. The menu offers items that other steak houses do not offer and they are all great. I will definitely go again, again and again. The menu is not overpriced and service was very good and fast. I also loved the high ceilings and overall ambiance.
GREAT DATE NIGHT DESTINATION. HIGH QUALITY FOOD. ABSOLUTELY CAN'T GO WRONG
It's really gone down hill in quality since I was there last year. Very disappointed in the food.
The food was fantastic! The roast was falling off the bone! The salmon was NOT fishy, and was portioned perfectly. However, the drinks did not feel worth it, they didn’t really pop with flavor.
The dessert was amazing! The cookies and milk! And the chocolate cake are a MUST!!!!!!!!
A little loud, but otherwise good food and drinks, excellent service, fun environment.
Outstanding food, and that's what I care most about. Delicious steaks, good sides. Great dessert.
Family visiting from out of town. Everything was superb!
Amazing experience as always. Service was great and food even better. Ceviche de Pescado and Chuleta (pork chop) were my picks
I love Lolinda and highly recommend it to anyone who will listen to me. Thank you for so many wonderful dinners and happy hours.
Great place, highly recommend. In terms of value very worth the meal, Asado Mixto is good for two. Highly recommend the Octopus, Ceviche, and Empanadas. Will be back soon, waiters were great.
Denis and Dustin are amazing!
This was our second time celebrating our Dad's birthday at Lolinda's and they did not disappoint. All the steaks and appetizers that we ordered were cooked to perfection. The servers were very attentive, helpful, and provided the special treatment for a special occasion. Although we brought our own birthday cake, they also provided a complimentary birthday dessert complete with a candle;-) Lolinda is definitely worth it.
Service was amazing. Food was alright. The ceviche was good but the steak was really tough and tired out my jaw
Amazing local restaurant with great cuts of meat!! Plus wonderful small plates. We highly recommend!
Fantastic dinner, the steak was exquisite and the dessert was top notch as usual.
One of my favorite places for steak . It come right off the grill oh the empanadas are awesome as well
