Madre Tierra Seafood and Steak House
Food quality was average at best. Not a place I would recommend
We celebrated my mom’s 75th Birthday! It was a wonderful evening. Great atmosphere. Great lighting. Wonderful service. We sat, ate, and drank under the thatched roof while the rain poured down. I recommend!
I booked a dinner at 9pm at this restaurant for December 31st through Open Table in hopes to have a usual dinner and continue our plans to spend midnight in Coco Bongo. Upon arrival at 8.50pm I was told that my reservation for a usual dinner was not valid and that they won't serve us any dinner before 10pm and we have to commit to the New Years Eve menu which was 150 USD per person. Needless to say we did not want to do that and this has totally ruined our New Years Eve as it was impossible at that point to find a restaurant that would serve us regular dinner. This was undoubtedly the worst service I've ever encountered in all my travels.
I would be hard pressed to give this place 4 or less. It is our favorite place while visiting. However this trip it did not shine like a new penny
We ordered made at your table Cesar salad. It was swimming in dressing. Overkill to say The least
We both ordered the steak and lobster
The steaks were filets. Mine was tuff and chewy my wife’s was great. The lobster were 2 small lobsters and they were cold. Not warm but cold. We also ordered white Zinfandel wine. It was a Mexican house wine not really to our liking
They removed the wine from our bill without me asking. A nice touch
Would I return. For sure. This was a one off night I’m sure
Looking forward to going back next year. Service is 10+
No tuvimos ningún inconveniente con la reservación. El restaurante, el servicio y la calidad de alimentos es notable a ciegas.
Fine, but overrated. Great location and space, but chain-restaurant quality with higher-than-warranted prices. Staff were fantastic. My steak was pretty low quality.
Six of us enjoyed our meal here. Service was excellent and the food delightful. Recommend highly
We have been Nancy Times to that restaurant and it is always a great pleasure to eat there.
This is my second year coming here for my birthday. I always get the lobster. Absolutely my favorite place in PCD.
Great place to eat. Friendly wait staff good food and great atmosphere
The ambiance was great. The food, while good, wasn't great. Especially for the price. Service was just average for a fairly expensive restaurant.
Our favorite restaurant in Playa Del Carmen. Love the location, atmosphere, food and overall vibe. Is on our must-visit list whenever we are in PDC.
Very cool decor and nice ambience. Great prices for a decent steak!
Very nice and higher than average food in the center of busiest shopping street in Playa. Good value for money, great service. Don't forget to order the fresh guacamole.
It's our favorite place to visit every time we come to playa del carmen
Great location and get seating overlooking 5th Ave if possible. Ambiance and decor was good. My only issue was that both our entrees were not cooked enough. Otherwise the rest of our food was great along with the service.
