Wonderful staff and fresh oysters!

Fantastic restaurant - the oysters and sauces were amazing. Loved the way the different types of oysters all are on display. Had a great lobster roll too. The oyster-shaped cookies are a must for desert. Great service too!

Very cozy, welcoming place with delicious food and specialty drinks. My out-of-town guests said they wished they had a place like this in their town!!

I went with some family members to celebrate my fathers 95th and my brothers 65th birthdays. They love oysters and wanted to try this place for our first time. The oysters were delicious as we shared three dozen between the 5 of us. The only down side was the music. My father is hard of hearing as it is and it's becoming very difficult for him to go out to eat pretty much anywhere these days due to noise levels. Wish restaurants would take the older customers into consideration with this problem. Other than that our time here was wonderful!

If you like fresh oysters, this is definitely your place (there are oysters from 10+ local growers). You can seen your oysters still in the shell before they are shucked. Great selection of local brews too.

We were there on a Thursday, so we got to meet the growers as well. Excellent selection of local beers too. This is the kind of small, locally sourced restaurant that Portland should be known for.

This is the FINEST oyster house I have ever been to, in Maine, New Orleans, or the pacific coast. Seriously. Minimal menu—oysters and lobster basically. Wonderful.

Maine Oyster Company is a fantastic place to meet up with family and friends. It is simple in its approach....focused on a few great beers and coacktails meant to be accompanied by oysters and lobster grill cheese sandwiches.

The environment is like you are at a great cocktail party - awesome tunes playing and a staff that is fun and attentive!

A wonderful little restaurant for the freshest oysters and small bites. Farm to slurp, there is a vision behind this restaurant. Nice and cozy, super friendly staff that went out of their way to help and explain. The location is somewhat off the beaten path but well worth it.

They did not honor our OpenTable reservation. We got there 10 minutes before our 6:30 reservation. The party before us had a reservation at 7:00 and admitted to arriving early. They were given the only table that could seat 5. That is BS! The staff blamed it on being such a small and busy place. ????? THEN DONT TAKE RESERVATIONS IF YOU CANNOT HONOR THEM! Their laissez-faire way of not addressing the issue was pathetic.
