    Fantastic dining experience overall. The food was amazing. How can you go wrong with handcrafted pasta and mozzarella? Service was excellent. Can’t recommend this place enough. Order the gnocchi. You won’t regret it!

    Love the cool old school Italian vibe here. It's one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Portland. Great food, service and wine and cocktails.

    Classic Italian served in a cozy, elegant downtown setting. Really enjoyed the warm garlic bread and my husband gets the rich, hearty bolognese everytime. He got it with the housemade gnocchi this time and we really enjoyed how the kitchen seared one side of the gnocchi, so that was crispy on one side and melt in your mouth with the rest of it. My wild mushroom pizza with bechamel was soooooo good! Good amount of woodsy mushrooms and delicious crust. We took home leftovers. Enjoyed our cheery server, she was very observant and gave great service, floating over just in time to get us more wine and tidy up as needed. We passed on the dessert as we were too full, but will save room for the tiramisu next time, which we learned is all made in house!| Great date night experience, highly recommend!

    We were visiting from out of town and loved our experience at Mama Mia’s. The staff for kind and helpful but gave us plenty of opportunity to sit and talk. A lovely spot in Portland!

    Five of us were here for dinner last night, and every one of us thought our meal was fantastic. We all ordered different items from pasta and shrimp dishes to chicken marsala. It’s very unusual for a group to go out where every single person raves about a very different dish, but that was the case here, we couldn’t recommend Mamma Mia‘s more highly. The service was excellent with a very thoughtful, informative waitress and noise level was moderate.

    This is our second visit to Mama Mia's. I am an Italian from New York and I have been looking for a place that shares some of the similarities of food from home. My husband and I have decided that Mama Mia's is the place where we will always celebrate our anniversary and more!!

    Entrees, dessert and wedge salad were excellent...garlic bread on appetizer list was less than stellar; in addition, Old Fashions should be made with a singular cube...not a fistful of ice.

    Very nice experience, lots of new things to try, like the mozzarella board, loved it! Would be nice to not have a up-charge for protein with your pasta, doesn’t take a lot to finish the dish and still be budget friendly.

    We are regulars here and for whatever reason this night was a little off. The minestrone soup had been prepared by a different chef, and was very spicy, unnecessarily. The portion was much smaller. Which was fine because I couldn’t finish it as spicy as it was. my husband spaghetti was dry. We took it home and added a bit of water to it and revived it. I think the kitchen was off that night, service was great. It does tend to get noisy so we try not to go on a Friday or Saturday night.

    The service was lovely. It was not crowded because we went early before a Broadway show. I haven’t been to Mama Mia in years. We ordered the bruschetta platter as an appetizer, and the tomatoes seemed almost green, the fig one looked like hummus but was incredibly sweet, and the balsamic one looked horrendous (like pickled beets) but tasted decent. Everything was set on a bed of wilted lettuce which make it feel cheaper, and more difficult to serve. I ordered the shrimp scampi at the recommendation of the server, and honestly the food was underwhelming. The sauce was a really bland one, I ended up ordering more slices of lemon to try and brighten it. The shrimp were undercooked, a little grey, and perhaps not great quality, the texture was rubbery. The server recommended adding scallops which I did, and they had a crust on them that ended up being extremely salty. Additionally there were crunchy pieces of what I assumed must be sand every few bites. In the end I picked around and brought most of it home, and my kids won’t eat it because the shrimp don’t appear cooked. If we had had more time, I might have sent the dish back. It was prob over $30 with the added scallops and the value really wasn’t there.

    My first time there! All of our food was delicious, and the portions were surprisingly generous. We loved the waitstaff. Definitely plan on returning.

    All of the food was quite enjoyable. The lasagna dinner plate was massive and I almost couldn't eat it all! The cocktails were tasty and strong which is how I like them. My friend I was with also enjoyed her dishes. No dessert this time, but next time I'll look forward to it.

    Best Seafood Pasta I've ever had! We ate here before doing the Portland Half (carbing-up) and I would 100% go back when/if I do another race in Portland!

    Excellent food; the Chicken Parmigiana was excellent. Low noise level, experienced host person who was attentive but not “in your face”. Quiet table, appetizer of bruschetta charcuterie was excellent…especially the date and cheese. Yummers!
