My sisters and I were so excited to finally coordinate our schedules in order to finally eat at the Maple Tree Inn. We’d all heard great reviews from friends. Our dining experience was WONDERFUL! Our server was friendly and so helpful. He happily answered all of our questions as well as made suggestions. We tasted each other’s food and all of it was DELICIOUS! Can’t wait to eat at your new place in Homewood!!
Thank you for everything.
It was a great night! We'll see you at your new location!
Always a great dining experience! I look forward to the new location in Homewood, Il.❤️💯💯❤️
Found out that Maple Tree Inn was leaving its temporary location as of 9/16/19. Had an out-of-town visitor and wanted her to experience the cuisine before they close and move. Easily made a reservation for that evening via OpenTable. Arrived early and was seated immediately. Had an appetizer that was new to us (Voodoo Nuts) - a little spicy. Had 3 different entrees and each of us enjoyed what we ordered (shrimp, fried chicken, jambalaya). Split a dessert (Banana Foster pudding) - yummy. Sorry they are closing (this was a one-year, temporary location after the fire destroyed the previous location in August 2018) and looking forward to more excellent meals with top-notch service in 2020 in Homewood.
Love this restaurant! Comfort food and awesome drinks, not to mention the energetic New Orleans type of atmosphere!
Always a great time with great food
As always, Maple Tree Inn provides a wonderful dining experience. The staff is freindly and professional. Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. Food is one of a kind!
Had the seafood boil...a special on Sundays...absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to go back.
Good stuff. Not the typical South Side Western Ave bonehead food.
Everything was wonderful. The staff went over and above when I asked for plastic ware. I am currently receiving chemo and silverware causes metallic taste. I forgot to bring my set and staff went into their basement stock to get plastic ware to accommodate me. Couldn’t ask for more service with compassion.
We had to go there as soon as we heard it was closing in mid September. They will reopen in Homewood in the New Year. The food, drinks and music are fantastic. We sat at the bar on a slow Thursday night and had a wonderful time talking about New Orleans, local restaurants and the future of the Maple Tree Inn with the bartender. Another perfect night out at the Maple Tree Inn.
Mapletree Inn has sone of the best food, drinks, and service that I hs eve we had. It truly is hands down one of my all-time favorite restaurants.
Maple tree is our absolutely favorite restaurant! I was married in New Orleans and their food is outstanding so when I want to go back to that New Orleans style atmosphere, maple tree is the place! The bistro exceeds its standards with class and ambiance!
Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. Their cocktails were also great. We’ll be back!
I was looking forward to having the Fried Green Tomatoes they didnt have any and no Key Lime Pie. I was very disappointed.
Smoked brisket was excellent. A little fatty but overall sauce and taste was superb! Jalapeno cornbread is a favorite
Had a ball everything was perfect . The customer service waa amazing.
It's small and intimate place. My server was truly a sweetheart (kind and very attentive.) I had Good food !!! And good drinks!!! . A nice go to spot!!!!
Loved the food and the service. Not so much your draft Hurricanes, tasted like plain orange juice. The cheese cake special was awesome. We were at the old location almost to the day before the fire and wanted to give the temporary location a try. Parking around the corner at the lot was convenient. I would definitely go back.
The staff were very helpful when we requested a certain dish.
The food was everything we had remembered. We will return. Thanks for keeping your good menu.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The menu is small but the food was amazing. Morgan our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of . I was charged for an entree I didnt order he apologized and gave me a ten dollar gift card for next time. I will definitely be going there again. I had an amazing margarita also.
The food and service were fantastic. We sampled big - Gumbo, oysters, crab cakes, bbq shrimp and fried catfish. Jumbo was Ok, quality of ingredients was good but needed more spice. The oysters were very tasty but a little small. The crab, shrimp and Catfish were A++. How you can fry catfish, get a nice thin but tasty crust on it and then have the inside perfect and NOT greasy at all. A work of art!
There new temporary location (fire in the old location) restricts the size of their food and beer menus. I’m looking forward to their expanded menus in the future. Until then, it is well worth a trip to Blue Island - I came from Andersonville on the northside of the city. I’d have no issue making the trip again!
I rarely post comments to OpenTable but want to call Maple Tree out as a terrific place. The new location opened after a fire at the larger old location in Blue Island and they’ve done a wonderful job on both the food and the facility. The bartenders and waitstaff are very outgoing and helpful. The food is authentic and the portions are large. Highly recommended
Great food and great service! Crab cake, catfish, brisket and gumbo we delicious!
As usual Maple Tree Inn never disappoints. The temporary location is charming and intimate. Service was impeccable as Ozzie our waiter was friendly and accommodating. The oysters were still sizzling when served and had a wonderful flavor. I had the burnt ends which were extremely tender and had a Smokey sauce. Drinks are amazing and quite a variety to choose from. Love Maple Tree Inn and will continue to return as they rotate their menu. Great evening
Fantastic food and great service! Can't wait to go back
The food was really good. The service was top notch. And the overall appearance and quality of the restaurant was great.
Shared some appetizers and drinks. Husband got input from Ozzie our server/bartender on stouts-he enjoyed. Ozzie is always a delight! Chardonnay on tap was good. Fried green napoleon app is different-served with squash instead of green tomatoes due to not being in season. Bland in comparison. Oysters were pretty good though. Found out that the location on Western will be there longer than anticipated which is disappointing. Missing the larger food menu and craft cocktails and beer selection, but hanging in there in the hopes that 'when they build it, we will come!'
Tho I truly miss their original location it was nice to be able to taste their food again in this temporary location. Service was great as always and food was delicious as well!
Reduced menu, but they are trying and still open after the fire.
Great meal and drinks!
Awesome as always! Ryan was great! Chef went above board for our anniversary! 3rd year in a row celebrating here! Thanks again!
Fried catfish was cooked very well & had a good flavor. Chicory coffee was a “tasty” dark roast but could’ve been hotter. Beignets were delicious! Service was excellent. Ambiance was nice. My friend & I went early (3:30pm reservation), so it was quiet and food was served rather quickly. I would like to return once their new original location reopens.
Great food, excellent service and fabulous music!
Intimate restaurant.
The food was good our server was a bit slow but overall a great experience
The brisket was cooked to perfection! I loved every morsel!
Ready for the original location to re open with the full menu. Only bummer was the seafood boil doesn’t include crawfish. Food is fantastic though and the place is always friendly.
What an amazing dinner. The Sunday Seafood Boil was just fabulous. And I have never had frog legs as good as the ones in the boil. Can't wait for the old building to get finished with the rebuild since the temporary place is a bit small and loud. But anyone who wants an authentic creole meal needs to come to Msple Tree Inn. Thank you Erich and Katie.
