Beautiful view, food was very good but a bit overpriced and service was great!
My husband and I had the most amazing brunch and the views and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing definitely will be booking a room and coming here again.
Went for brunch. They had a wide variety on the menu of both breakfast and lunch type foods. We sat outside and saw dolphins from our table! The only thing better than the view was the Bloody Mary!!
The restaurant is in a beautiful setting directly on the beach. It likely makes them lazy about their menu and food quality. We had a below average meal and cocktails that were pretty bad as well. I would recommend coming here for a glass of wine and a stroll around the property but not waste time with a full meal.
Cold beer and drinks. We ordered salads and the fish tacos and they were very good.
Service was good and the view of the ocean was perfect.
Convenient to eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here. It was okay, not great for the price at all. Salmon way over cooked, burgers were good though.
I made dinner reservation a couple days before arriving to Pismo Beach. My party of 4 arrived on time and we were warmly greeted by the host. The restaurant has a outdoor patio that sits besides the pool and wraps around the back of the restaurant. Unfortunately we were sat in the back with the parking lot to the left if us. Although the view of the beach was beautiful. It was a bit chilly so the waiter placed a heater next to us. The menu selection was ok. We ordered the clam chowder and calamari. The claim chowder was bland. It needed more seasoning. The calamari was good but the pieces were tiny. We proceed to order the Siete Mares and the Cliffs burger. The siete mares had 1 shrimp, 1 scallop, 4 mussels and 4 clams. The cilantro rice had crab. We were not impressed especially for the price of the food. It was just “meh”. Sadly it turned us off from eating there during the rest of our trip. On the up side our waiter “Cole” was very polite.
Perfect spot to have a cocktail, catch up with friends, and on sports scores. Even better for a "date night" with a beautiful sunset and excellent food and drink.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Great Food. Beautiful setting.
What a view. The service was excellent. The meat board had an amazing variety . We wold defy order it again.
Unfortunately the food was basically unedible for both my husband and myself. We were so disappointed because the ambiance was so beautiful and the prices made it seem like it would be at least very good food if not delicious. I definitely would not recommend the food here to anyone. The service was also poor. Our server barely checked on us - we never knew where he was. Overall experience was not great.
My husband and I stayed at the Cliffs hotel and decided to try out the restaurant on site. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the roasted garlic and lemon chicken with cauliflower. My husband got the pirk chops. Both dishes were really tasty and moist. The passion fruit pudding was sweet with a nice tart passion fruit taste.
My compliments to the Chef, our meal was amazing what a wonderful Dinner 🍽
Our Mother's Day Brunch was amazing! They were ready for us early, we had a beautiful table with a beautiful view, the food was fantastic, as was the service. Thank you for making it such a special day!
We had a great experience at Marisol’s. Their food is delicious and their service is outstanding. It’s a beautiful location and highly recommend it.
The Mother’s Day meal was wonderful! The Pismo Beach view is beautiful!! Great service!
We went for their Mother’s Day brunch. The food was very well presented, absolutely delicious, and very filling. Would definitely eat their again!
We asked for an outside table and they said they couldn’t because they were booked. We watched the two outside tables sit empty for the next two hours and for a guest 30 minutes later to be asked if they want inside or outside when we weren’t allowed outside to the empty tables. We were right next to a sliding glass door that my husband had to keep opening and closing as wait staff moved in and out because it was like a wind tunnel when left open. The service was horrible. The three of us were there for two full hours. Our main course came about an hour and forty minutes in and we had to rush and eat it because we had a massage appointment next door 2 hrs and 15 minutes after our scheduled brunch time. When they did finally bring out main course they brought the wrong food to our table so two of us ate while my husband waited for his correct order to come out. The food quality was bad too. We normally love this place but this was a hugely disappointing brunch experience.
Usually I am big fan of the cliffs as an avid brunch goer, but Mother’s day was a disappointment and left more to be desired. As the menu was decent but not acceptional for 55$ a pop and only one mimosa included versus the normal bottomless. As well as constant reminders from the service team of new trainess when many of the mistakes and blunders occurred such as dropping the desserts or food going to the wrong table. Our table was also put in the cold windy shade in a random corner while the sun was shining down on every other table set. Overall I was very unimpressed for the 500$ i spent including tip and sadened to say that the Cliffs may have lost its touch due to the Covid layoff.
Beautiful view. Friendly service. Food was excellent.
Food was cold. Ended up requesting to have it cooked again and our food once again came out cold. Waitress only came out once. Bad service and quality of food
A beautiful evening birthday dinner with my wife! Ocean view, great service and food.
Well organized. Can't beat the view. Staff friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Tables were well spaced. We sat outside, service was quick.
We ordered the roasted chicken and filet mignon, and it was delicious.
They were not attentive. We were done with eating appetizers before they took our dinner order and everything was really spaced out. My side dishes were temped and it took another 15 min for my bill.
Otherwise, it was beautiful and pretty tasty.
Limited and same menu for breakfast, lunch l, dinner and room service. Menu tried hard to artisanal but was mediocre. Dinner “siete mares” was skimpy at best.
Our food took over an HOUR to arrive, only to have my hamburger made wrong. It took a while for it to be remade, and then it was so overdone it was hardly edible. My husband asked for ketchup, and I had to go track down the waitress to get it. Took forever to get it, and finally my husband ate the hamburger dry because it was getting cold. Horrible service.
The view is beautiful, so that was the only redeeming factor.
Disappointed- had to ask to have the table wiped clean- drinks tasted watered down. The calamari was mediocre and not hot. Was expecting more.
My wife and I went to Marisol at the Cliffs for our anniversary. We had wanted to do this last year, but because of the pandemic, we had to wait until now and Joella. Mmmmm good. Can you say what is the difference between a cook and Chef. We got a bacon wrapped filet mignon that was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. My wife got the Crusted Salmon which was also better than expected. Actually we shared. And I have to compliment the Chef, the food was cooked perfectly with a tasty blend of seasoning and a meat sauce that was exquisite.
Awesome service! I will definitely be visiting again.
Celebrated my friend’s 21st birthday at the Marisol for lunch and mimosas. They definitely took care of us with drinks and delicious food!
Ambiance was lovely. Service was excellent. Drinks were delicious. Food (filet mignon) was amazing! 10/10! Highly recommend!
Staff very nice, went out of there way to insure we had the right table. Three of the four meals were very good, fourth marginal. Nice views!
Just horrible service overall. From start to finish (getting seated through getting the food took 1.5 hours)
Staff is rude and it’s just a bad experience
They got some of the best views in town and great location but that don’t make it easy with their service.
All was great except the restaurant staff cancelled my open table reservation requiring me to appeal directly to Open Table to correct the mistake. They did so but it wouldn’t have been necessary had the Marisol staff been more careful and honored my reservation.
Food was not good and the service was a bit too slow. It appears the staff has no experience at all.
The food was delicious and the view from the patio was excellent.
