Market & Co - Crown Perth
Have enjoyed lunch many times at Market & Co and my visit on Sunday was no different. Thank you.
Pleasant decor. Menu had enough choices to make picking my meal easy and the food was well-presented.
I booked this restaurant specifically for the seafood platter on the dinner menu. I booked for 6pm with my husband for our wedding anniversary and was told by our waitress that because our booking was so early, we couldn't order from that menu and instead was given a pre-dinner menu with minimal choices for entrees and mains. Main menu was from 8pm.
Every single protein came with mash and brocollini and the portions were quite small for $40+ per dish.
A bit disappointing overall.
Everyone was friendly and fun to talk to. Able to share a laugh and joke around with us. Food was really good and the environment was calm and fun
Disappointing- overpriced for the food and service provided
Natasha was a fabulous server. She was a joy to be around, she took care of our needs promptly and with an easy professionalism that made the meal perfect
Great service and the food was so good. Highly recommend as a destination before taking in a show next door.
Food good, great staff
Didn’t know this was here! Perfect pre show venue, great choices of food, delicious food and excellent service
Pre show dinner set priced two course dinner
Good service and nice food
Stake was popular and good standard
Had the pre-show dining menu. Food was good but the service was shocking. Being a small menu choice the food came out quite quickly which was good considering we were completely ignored once we were seated. It took half an hour for our order to be taken and it wasn't even taken by one of the wait staff.
all good rhubarb crumble little dry
Enjoyed an evening with friends prior to a show at the theatre. Limited menu due to show, however food came out quickly and was delicious.Staff were not very friendly, however, the lady that served the wine was very professional and courteous.
Gnocchi was exceptional. There must have been a change in kitchen staff as we went here a few years ago and food was "meh" but this weekend service was exceptionally fast and food was awesome!
Not great value for money, food was decent but expected more from the pre-show package.
Better than last time whic was several years ago but still didn’t wow me. Not enough service staff so we felt we were waiting for service yet we said we were going to show. Food quite okay.
Food was excellent for a set menu.
Service was friendly and efficient and enabled us to eat a good well priced meal before a show.
We were going on to a show at the nearby Burswood theatre and Market and Co is adjacent to the theatre. They have a before the show dining option which suited us beautifully. Efficient, friendly and very quick service of a two course meal . We were in and out in 40 minutes but did not feel rushed by the staff. Food sizes were good. Fresh, vibrant food . Well done!
A great spot with plenty of energy and atmosphere. Have tried the breakfast buffet and dinner whilst staying at Crown. Break Kay was great value. The dinner was also great with a variety of prices and food options.
It was a pre-show dinner and they obviously wanted us in and out reasonably quick. The food was obviously pre-cooked and pre-heated because the entree (archichini mushrooms) was rubbery. The sirloin steak was very poor quality with significant gristle. The service though was very good.
Overall the $49.00 pp for two items was not value for money. I can't give it the thumbs up. Maybe it was just an off night.
Food was great however we felt the servings were a little small.
Enjoyed the good food and the excellent service
Was going to see a show and had the 2 course meal. Meal was nice, service was good but not sure why the 2 course meal was more than the normal price.
My wife and I enjoyed a set pre show menu and found the service and staff helpful. The choice of an entree or main was chosen and I had miso and dumpling soup and my wife had mushroom arancini. We both had crispy pork belly which was delicious.
Dessert was available but we went with the entree and main as our choice of the 2 course menu.
Staff great & overall pleasant enough but $160 for 2 people & 2 pretty simple meals and a couple of glasses of wine is not good value for money!
Pre show meal. Wine and food took an age to come out. No refills of the water. Had to scoff the food to make our show in time. Tasty, but won’t go back. Appears they were understaffed.
We chose Market & Co as we were attending the Theatre at Crown Perth. There was an option for Pre-Show Two Course dinner which we decided upon and were very happy with the choice of dishes and quality of the food.
Would definitely recommend to dine here.
Benefiting from Market and Co.'s pre-show dinner deal, I and a group of three friends dined there prior to going to see The Book of Mormon. The food was great, and the service unobtrusive but attentive. We were done with dinner in ample time to walk around to the theatre venue next door, and take our seats prior to the curtain rising.
We had an early evening meal ahead of seeing a show at Crown Theatre. There was a restricted a la carte menu in place as it was a pre-show sitting but there was still a good range of dishes to choose from, including for non-meat eaters. We were all happy with our meals and the service was efficient. Prices are also very reasonable. It is not a high end fine-dining type of place but is well suited to people who are looking to get a decent quality meal at a fair price. Would happily go back.
We were there for the pre show menu which is pretty basic. My meal was ok and portion sizing was great for both my meals. My partners was not. He got the entree chicken satay. This was terrible it was cold chicken was chewy there were only two sticks very small and very average!
His second course was the pork belly this was cooked better but was a small portion size. probably ok for some but when added to the small inedible chicken 1st course he did not feel his meal was good enough for $50
Market & Co stinks!
-Booked a pre-show dinner.
-Only allowed to order from limited pre-show menu despite being told on the phone some of us can order from the regular menu.
-We were 4 and planning to order different dishes and share but the waitress insisted on knowing which order is for whom despite telling her to assume it's for everyone. She said they don't share!
-Slow service, small servings, pretentious!
-15 minutes into the "pre-show dinner" and dessert was not served yet!
The staff were very attentive, kind, friendly and entertaining for the children. There was not long waits for service and my 1yr old was served first which kept him happy.
Lamb shank was very fatty, and my husbands seafood linguine had no taste. Not expensive meals which was good but still wouldn’t say value for money. Very disappointing. Kids burgers were good, wish I had had one of those instead! Waitress slammed the plates down as she served them and some of the sides had fallen onto the main plates with no apology.
We went to Marcet and Co for father's day lunch. My husband's sirloin stake was cooked inconsistently and it was quite tough. Salad and chips very basic.
Mine cold seafood sharing platter for two was of a very basic and poor quality. And the dip was not chilli lime aioli as per menu. It was more like a spicy sundry tomato dip that I buy at Coles. Grilled turkish bread was very oily.
We were not compressed with the food at all.
Ony service was good.
The service was fabulous, our entree was delicious. Disappointed with the lamb (or maybe old sheep) shank. It was tough, dry, very gamey. We did inform the waiter who reported back to the chef. The meal was taken off our bill. Unless it falls off the bone it should fall off the menu. The staff were very apologetic and offered another choice. Our waiter Andrew was very considerate.
I have dined at Market & Co many times. Arrive at 5:30pm. Reservation was for 6.00pm. "Greeted" on arrival by frosty "front of house". Cant go to our table until 6:00pm. Sat in small lounge area & ordered 4 cappacino. All cold. Complained & 4 fresh coffees arrived. Later we ordered entrees & mains. I ordered a medium sirloin steak. It arrived very well done. Tried to eat it but was dry & I wasn't enjoying. Complained. Replaced with nice steak. Not the level of service I've come to expect here.
Good food and service
Unfortunately my steak was not fully well done as I requested & a bit tough however one of my dinner companions steak was really grisly & she needed to leave a portion on the plate as she was not happy with the steak.
On a positive the apple & rhubarb crumble was absolutely delicious.
