Lovely lunch, absolutely stunning building and location. Food was really nice and wine perfect. We really enjoyed our peaceful lunch.
Food was beautiful and the location is stunning. Gorgeous scenery and a modern and fresh interior. Staff were friendly and helpful and we had a fabulous lunch. Would highly recommend Meletos.
Outstanding had a great night. Awesome food and service.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch once again, loved the food, and service always excellent. Will be back
Again for a special birthday coming up....cheers. Avril
Had a great time there, will definitely return another time.
Lovely meal, although a little bland.
Will definitely return & try something different.
Staff were fantastic.
Such a beautiful place, highly recommend the Meletos experience. Pizzas are delish!
Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Terrific food, service, however extremely loud venue. Otherwise a great destination. We’ve been before and would go again
The service was appalling. All the meals were served at different times, 2 of the group were left waiting for food whilst others ate. When the meals came out the rest of the group had finished. The waitress then thought it was appropriate to clear the table whilst the 2 were still eating. Hard to get anyone’s attention to order another round of drinks.
Food when arrived was lovely as always. Due to the poor service I won’t be back.
Excellent food, good value. The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and it was great to also visit the Providore.
Great restaurant. Will be back again. Thanks for the experience.
A lovely setting in the Yarra Valley. The food was tasty and beautifully presented...servings could be a bit bigger after the majic views to get there!
I am a great dessert eater, but I was tempted to order another bowl of the hand cut chips with delicious aioli instead. Coffee was really nice, so I had two cups, and the Punt Road Pinot Gris we had was superb. Great service.
The food was good but the cost was ridiculous for what you actually get. An entree, pizza and a basic garden salad $50 is crazy.
Weekend menu is rubbish, poor value and limited. Was not an enjoyable experience.
Food was good although the pasta was like warm, a little over priced however the setting is beautiful and service was good!
I love this place..... it’s perfect to have a relaxing meal and drink
Second visit, unfortunately the food was not as we remembered it. The tomato pizza sauce lacked flavour. It tasted bland and as a result I left most of it. We were also charged for an item we did not receive, this was eventually rectified. Ambience for a Saturday was not great.
Food quality very good overall, however the lunch mains were pretty small. Waiters were scarce for service
I have been a patron of Melitos for some time now and always love driving onto this amazing property to enjoy the well kept grounds & spacious, airy Bistro. I do understand how a business as such would have extremely high overheads with maintenance, staff and all the rest BUT....there really are some details here that DO need to be addressed for me to stay loyal to the Melitos brand. I am not so quick to recommend these days. Firstly, no longer can my husband and I book during peak days for a Couples Lunch...Melitos WAS our 'special place for Birthdays etc' The food is just not up to the standard that it used to be which then leaves me feeling that there is a problem with value for your $....there are time limits even mid-week lunch for the next bookings to proceed (understand from a business point of view BUT can be annoying as there is then no-where else to go as this is an isolated rural location) Come 12.30 onwards the noise level is VERY high....I find myself feeling more and more uncomfortable as I struggle to lean accross the table to engage in conversation. Food~ Oysters for entree served with a 1/4 of lemon and a little dish of sauce. (Waiting staff should recommend at LEAST 1/2doz oysters)needs some cracked pepper & a piece of soughdough bread. Sauce does not compliment the Oysters.. put a little spoon on the plate to apply sauce to oysters & a couple of peices of your gorgeous S/Dough bread! Prawn Linguine...hmmmm....you know I am instantly impressed if the serving is generous...& the base sauce is a 'knockout'....not the case here. INCREASE the portion size...transform that ordinary tomato base sauce to a thick rich flavoursome sauce and throw in a few more prawns... a touch more chilli and dress it up with fresh BASIL! The lovely dill can be chopped finely and included within the dish. My tastebuds were longing for more texture and intensity of flavour...offer shaved parmesan as well! I must say I left somewhat disappointed.
Wonderful evening spent at Meletos celebrating my daughters birthday. Everything was perfect.
Seeing the waitress cut the bread while holding it with their hands and then carrying it past our table to put on our platter was not hygienic. Tongs and a towel over the bread would have been far more appropriate.
Pizza was oily.
What an amazing lunch we had
Such a beautiful setting, incredible building
Food was so fresh and delicious
Second visit there. We went as a group of 5. Service from the team was great. Food was flawless and such a picturesque setting.
Very good quality of products, best value for money and very nice view. Wonderful surprise!
I came here with my boyfriend and we loved everything about it! We’d had some pretty average dining experiences lately, so it was a breath of fresh air to eat some delicious food and be taken care of by the team at Meletos. I’ve already started recommending it to others!
Fantastic place, we would have loved to stay for three courses but had to leave due to another booking on the large table we were sat at. We were celebrating a milestone birthday (notified beforehand) so that was disappointing. Looking forward to going back on a less busier day.
The first time I went (Dec 2018) I was very impressed. Value for money and food quality was excellent. My last visit (Dec 2019) I was less impressed. Was forced into the weekend menu because of the busy time of the year which is fine, but portion sizes were small and did not feel satisfied. Menu was slightly misleading, the gnocchi was not gnocchi it was a slab of fried semolina and the menu said sides were included we had one small salad between 3. I would assume sides, plural would be more than one.
A visually beautiful restaurant with good ambience. Food was good but more attentive service would go a long way to increasing overall experience.
Second time there ..the venue and the food was excellent... due to the xmast season there was a set menu which was a bit expensive compared with our 1st time...it is better to go out of the festive season to enjoy the most this beautiful place..
Great food, service and venue. Highly recommend
Meletos is the perfect spot to take friends visiting Victoria for the perfect taste of Yarra Valley dining, wine in a picturesque venue. Service is always on point too.
On 27th December between 11am and 12pm young lady at the service and booking desk spoiled our special day. Her arrogant and unprofessional service was unnecessary.
A great place for a fantastic meal. Sadly the service on this day was a little poor. However every other time we have been here it has been a great experience. We will return
It felt like they tried to make quick money, by pushing lots of people through.
Very disappointing!! Love the set up and staff was friendly. Food overpriced for what came out on the plate.
Lovely place, lovely food, great service. The only drawback is the ambient noise. We were a table of six and found ourselves shouting at each other across the table in order to be heard. Don't know that there's much you can do about it though, with the floor to ceiling glass windows and hard surfaces everywhere. It's a shame!
We had a family lunch for 6 and it was a bit noisy, but got quieter after 3. It was very hard to get attention from wait staff as we were at the front of the rest. And they seemed to always be around the middle tables. Lived the ambience and the food but a little disappointed I. Service attentiveness. All the best.
Too busy at front desk. Had to wait for a long time to be served. Steak was tough and very fatty.
Beautiful setting though.
Excellent food ! Will definitely be visiting again
Two people had the lamb dish and wouldn't order that again there was more fat that meat.
The gnocchi was lovely
