Great meal, flavours and good value. Will definitely go again.
Excellent food and service was attentive. Good recommendation from our waiter. Would return for a special occasion.
Came for New Year’s Eve. Service was very prompt and friendly. Food took some time to come out but just barely enough to notice. Quality of the food was outstanding. There is an opportunity to build up the bar with some more spirit variety.
This was our first time. We loved it. The food was wonderful and the service was great. The portion sizes were just right. Our server gave us good suggestions. She had strong knowledge of the food and beverage menus and made tasty pairings. We will definitely come back.
Absolutely outstanding, have not experienced any French cuisine like it in tens years since our return. Rivals much of the cuisine we frequented in Montreal. A true delight. Service was also on Par as was the decor.

We went to Melo for a family dinner and thoroughly enjoyed all meals-pickerel was perfectly cooked, steelhead trout very tasty, duck confit a generous portion with great flavour, steak frites perfect as always, squash ravioli delicious. Our server was attentive give and very knowledgeable regarding wine choices. We will go again!
Pretty much everything was rated as above average. The beef tartare was very nice with great use of the capers, the chicken liver seemed like a lot, but was well balanced on the waffle. The steak frites and the braised short rib mains were spot on and surprisingly decently sized. The room was dimly lit, but nice given that we were there for a nice quiet date/early birthday dinner and I even got a cute little birthday candle on my dessert (completely forgot I had selected "Birthday" on the reservation). The only issue with the food was that my wife's dessert was rather dry, but that's it.
The waitress was nice and friendly and offered good recommendations when asked. Had a nice, happy attitude that lent itself to the evening's experience.
A perfect cozy and classy restaurant for the holidays season with my colleagues
Food was delicious and the service was fun and professional. Cocktails were well made. Great evening for a business meeting.
Lovely classical bistro menu items in a great venue.
It was a nice quiet birthday dinner for two and it was lovely. Everything from the drinks to the meal was wonderful.
Great food, wine and ambiance
the food is very good, but both food and wine are pricey....
The food was delicious and service was great. Nothing over the top expensive. Check it out!
This is a lovely place to eat. All the dishes we tried were delicious - short ribs, hangar steak, chicken. The side plates of mushrooms and brussel sprouts were amazing. Would highly recommend Melo.
Delightful and somewhat unexpected evening. Great food and good service. Definitely worth a return visit.
Great French Fare. Chef Duncan has a gift for flavour. The beef tartare had a distinct and delicious smokey flavour from the use of smoked and rendered beef fat. Best tartar in a long time. Everything cooked to perfection! Amazing flavour to beef short rib and the cod was fresh delicious and succulent. Amazing dinner, we will be back
Very personal service, great food, knowledgeable staff. We’ll be back.
Service was really good. The sample they brought from the kitchen was delicious. It was a fresh ravioli with a runny yolk when you cut in, set on truffle mash potatoes. They brought us a complimentary birthday dessert.
I would certainly recommend Melo restaurant. Enjoyable food, with excellent service
Had a great meal and service at Melo. The menu was French classic, but with a modern, unpretentious twist. We will be back!!
Visited Melo last month for a birthday celebration. Absolutely great restaurant and amazing food. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Chefs are great too, the head chef even stopped by our table to see how we were doing. The price is decent, especially for a French cuisine restaurant.
Onto the food, it’s your typical, classic French cuisine. It seemed like they were going for “home styled” dishes. We ordered a few appetizers and I highly recommend it because the main dishes aren’t a big serving, just as most French restaurants are. My favourite appetizer would have to be the beef tartare and the onion tarts. The main course was just as good as the appetizers and we ordered two bottles of wine to pair our dish with. Braised ham hock is a must try, as well as the cod fillet. Steak and frites was your usual, nothing too special. The dessert was absolutely delicious. We ordered 2 orders of each Creme brûlée and opera cake. I’ll definitely be visiting this restaurant again to check out their new, revolving menus.
Delicious food, great service
Menu has some great options. Wine list small but great options
Wonderful meal at Melo. 4 of us had something different and all of us cleaned our plates. Shared brussel sprouts outstanding flavour. Complimentary dessert due to a birthday within our group. Chocolate with topping - salty and sweet. Shared 4 ways - delicious. Not too busy on a Wednesday night so noise was not an issue.
Food was great - service was rugged to say the least. Forgotten drink orders, had to ask for cutlery, incredibly slow to get first drinks and then food.
Sadly, did not love Melo. Service, while pleasant, was very slow. It took 50 minutes to get our food. This would not be a problem at dinner however, too slow for lunch. They did not have tea (what restaurant doesn't have tea??) or sparkling water or drip coffee. Espresso (varieties) only.
The menu is limited and food is good quality. Portions are small for the price.
The ambiance is perfect for a business lunch however, they need to improve service and selection.
Fish and potato croquettes were very good, the ham and sausage dish was hearty but was not great
Service was so slow that we decided to skip dessert
Patrick was an amazing server. We’ll definitely be back. Great food, romantic atmosphere, excellent wine!
