    Really enjoyed the food. Highlights included the artichoke soup amuse bouche (wish I had a spoon to scoop it all out of the glass!), lobster roll salad, crawfish linguini, oyster gratinee, tete de cochon and potato & black truffle tarte. The service, however, was abysmal. Didn't get long awaited cocktail until apps were on the table. Entree got cold waiting for wine that should have been served before it arrived. Would have loved to have been advised of chocolate souffle cooking time to order ahead. Settled for the delicious milk chocolate mousse, which arrived before black coffee was served. While all had a very good attitude, it seems like they are still going through some serious growing pains. Let's hope they fix the many kinks in the system before we go back.

    We had such a wonderful dinner at Nichele’s. The service was lovely and the food was delicious. We ordered many items off the menu to share. Our favorites were the Trout, Chips & Dip and Bananas Foster sundae. Thanks for a wonderful birthday celebration!

    Wonderful dining experience. Just a few tweaks and it would be a five star recommendation. Entree was lukewarm for me but all other food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Restaurant was a little loud for 5:15, but that's just this old guy talkin'.

    This was a world class dining experience. From the service and ambiance to the delicious flavors. I had high expectations for this and they were more than met. The level of service and professionalism was phenomenal - they made us feel welcome and looked after. They had amazing recommendations and had stellar wine. The food was fantastic - try the caviar chips and dip. The hamachi crudo was beyond this world. You won’t be disappointed.

    Very enjoyable from arrival to departure, visually inviting and comfortable. The staff worked well as a team, they seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. The seafood dishes were particularly flavorful and beautifully presented.

    The vibe was an elevated city bar where you could stay for a long time or pop in for a drink and some bites. It was comfy and definitely had a romantic mood to it, so would be great for a date. I would recommend the Tuna Tartar, Crawfish Linguine, and you have to try one of the breads which come out warm and with unique spreads to pair with (we got the olive caper sourdough). Oh and the banana foster for dessert was amazing!!! The drinks maybe need a bit more experimenting… I think with how fun and elevated the food was the cocktail choices could’ve matched them a bit more. With all that said, I think it might be priced a bit more than what you got, but I wouldn’t leave regretting the experience!

    Chef Matt and team have done it again. The Midas Touch was a superb standout from the bar, as was the sommelier recommended orange Pinot Grigio. Tyler is an excellent addition to the team!

    We wanted to try something new so we booked Michele’s at the very last minute. We were quickly greeted and seated 10 minutes early for our 7:30pm reservation. The decor was interesting…industrial modern is what I would call it. I see the pale green tile as a nod to the French influenced food. We were also quickly greeted by Brian our waiter who was very nice. We ordered the bahnmi pâté, truffle mushroom tarte, crayfish linguini, and lamb. We also were helped with our wine selection by a knowledgeable sommelier who recommended a wonderful bottle. Within the next 15 minutes or so, we were given a nice warm potato soup amuse bouche… creamy but subtle, and very comforting. We then were served the pate a few minutes later. The portion in our opinion was too large. Too much of a good thing to us is not always good. It was more like a torchon rather than a smooth, soft spreadable pate. It had a thin bready “crust” that I suppose was the “bread” of a banhmi sandwich, and it was served with a side of pickled veggies, which was nice to balance the fat but they were sliced too small and compared to the pate portion, was way too small. We then waited almost 40 minutes before our next dish was served. The wait kept coming by to apologize and did notify the manager who came by to apologize saying she didn’t know what happened. We were close to walking out actually, but the delicious wine kept us “busy”. The manager said, the tarte was coming and it would be worth it. It finally came and yes, it was the best tarte we’ve had… even better than famous Le Diplomat. It was warm, flavorful, and the pastry was flaky and crispy, ALL THE WAY THROUGH, even in the middle. I don’t like tartes that are wet and soggy in the middle section. Our next couple dishes came at the same time. The linguine was fresh, cooked el dente but the lamb was served cold… disappointing. Would I go back? The tarte alone is saying yes, but I would wait until they find their game. Note to chef…give your waiters

    Outstanding new place. Friendly staff who all seem happy to be there. Chef even stopped by to check in - really nice guy. Jeremy was great helping with wine and after dinner drinks. Food was amazing. Hamachi crudo is a must. Tuna tartare is outstanding. Breads are amazing as was the tarte flambé. And watch out Kinship - it appears there may be a new “best whole chicken in DC”! Finished with banana foster sundae - OMG. Well done. Thanks and congrats.

    Chef Baker takes the creativity of Gravitas, but applies it to New Orleans-style dishes here. Lively atmosphere. Not cheap, but great for a date night or special occasion. Try the "chips and dip" for something you've absolutely never had before anywhere else.
