Miramar Beach Restaurant
Thursday nights are always special with the meal specials.
We are always greeted well and treated well
Good food , good service, great view.
Great place to bring out of town guests. Negatives are too chilly and too noisy for older guests.
This was a holiday get together with family who could not make Thanksgiving Day but we celebrated the next day. We arrived to a line out the door to check in (on a cold rainy day) and finally got in only to be seated in the middle of the room right next to another busy table when there were empty window tables all over. It did not feel special at all I will not be going back. Food was marginal.
Excellent as ALWAYS!
I always enjoy the view and outdoor atmosphere. The clam chowder is excellent and so are the fish tacos.... The outdoor sitting area is really enjoyable. Indoors is good too if you have a window seat. Unfortunately last weekend, we had a bad table where one of us was just facing a wall.
Great location, right at the beach. Historic old inn converted to restaurant. Good, solid seafood. Not great, but no major complaints.
Great food and unbeatable view. Very homey. Our server was very friendly and the food was brought out in good time.
Their bloody Mary is one of the best I have ever had.
The live music was lovely as we had our Sunday brunch.
My wife and I were looking for a nice seafood restaurant to have dinner during a quick 1-night getaway. we researched all the restaurants online and somehow came to the conclusion that the Miramar would be a good pick. I think we went in with the wrong idea. maybe that's on us, fair enough, but this place is not for a romantic dinner. its the kind of place that has the price of their T-shirt listed prominently on the check in desk. there is definitely a role for these kinds of places and most of the time i would enjoy this, especially for a lunch or quick beer at the bar on a sunny day. but for a nighttime dinner, this was the wrong choice. food was nothing special at all, wine list lacking, and not a very good value overall. i wish them well, but i will not be back anytime soon.
We love this restaurant and often visit for weekend brunch, birthdays, lunch/brunch w out of town guests, etc. It never disappoints and the food and service are consistently good. Everyone we bring to the restaurant love the location, food selection and quality and wonderful service. This as close to on the water dining as it gets in HMB. To get a perfect seat outside on the patio, we usually arrive right at 11:30a when they open as it can get busy on the weekends and you can’t make a rez for the patio. It’s worth the wait if you have to, though, because it’s beautiful, and the smells and sound of the ocean are priceless.
Service and food is always outstanding.
We originally set up for a table but after eating a huge lunch we opted for the bar. It was enjoyable listening to the great pianist, and just people watching. The bartender was amazingly friendly, food and drinks were great as usual.
Location is great. My waiter was great. The food was missing the wow factor. The quality of food did not match the $350 bill for 4 adults and 1 kid.
Great place!! We go as often as we can!! Fantastic view of the ocean and great outdoors seating.
Our server was most amazing! And so lovely to have the piano.
The excellent Thursday evening specials are the best value on the coast!
A value in Half Moon Bay. The special on Thursday was lobster and steak pieces. Good. Not the best I have had but not the worst either. The portions are small but for the price were good. The bottle of house cabernet was great.
Open Table says we didn't show up for reservation. We did and ate outside. There are two hostess podiums and they need to coordinate better
One of the worst attempts at a steak dinner I’ve ever experienced
Not only did we enjoy great food and excellent service, but were treated to a spectacular show while the dolphins cavorted in the nearby surf. It just doesn't get better than this!
The Thursday night specials turn a regular dinner out into a special occasion.
You can't beat the view! Got there right at noon to get a table in the patio because the weather was so amazing. Service, food, everything was very enjoyable. We always come to the Miramar and have a great time.
You have to serve better food and improve on the service and presentation.
Good as usual but had to wait almost an hour for our table.
Even though my wife and I have lived in the Bay Area all our lives, we actually had never eaten there before. We saw a commercial for the Miramar and decided to go there for our anniversary. The food and drinks were excellent. The service was great and the view and atmosphere was fantastic. My only negative comment would be the noisy children, which isn’t really the fault of the restaurants. Otherwise I highly recommend the Miramar Beach Restaurant.
Pretty nice restaurant. Bar tender, Hector was amazing! He made wonderful drinks with friendly service. Food was decent, but nothing spectacular for the price. Nice atmosphere, and cool to have live music.
We were there for the Pumpkin Festival and decided to stop by because of the fried calamari with red sauce it’s to die for. Make sure you ask for the sauce to be mixed or they serve it separately .
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were seated by a window. Spectacular sunset, great service and delicious food.
1. Hostess Greeting - 2
2. Ambience - 2, old and dated, dirty carpeting
3. Server - 2, We asked where the oysters from, the couldn’t say for sure, but somewhere up north. He didn’t to get the correct answer.
Loved the sunset view over the ocean, nice outdoor bar seating at the fire pits. Drinks were lovely and food was very good. Prices reasonable for the type of restaurant/ambiance.
The food was very good, but a little pricey. The service was second to none.
The view here is beautiful :) I prefer coming here for dinner at sunset.
But brunch was nice too.
It does get get crowded and a bit noisy. But it’s definitely worth it.
Wonderful time, food was great the staff was very helpful and caring. This was the 11th year in a row we came just loved it.
It was our anniversary. I mentioned it in the Comments of our Open Table rez. Also, in Comments, requested a table with a great view. Once we got to the restaurant, we didn’t mention our anniversary. But when we were seated, it was at a table with a great view, our waiter was TERRIFIC, and our dessert came on a Happy Anniversary plate! So they paid attention without Being reminded and that was memorable.
Service was good. Food verse price point poor. Steak was tough, Chicken Piccata and rice had no seasoning/flavor. Food items arrived warm. Sadly, very disappointed..
Food was average. View was good and service was very good. Heavy garlic on pasta and too heavy breading on sole.
Great spot along the coast. Friendly staff, attentive service, delicious food and a well stocked bar. What more could we ask for? This is one of our favorites and well worth the drive.
Stopped by on our way to San Francisco. Ordered the fried cod and fries as it was the restaurant’s special and fresh oysters. The service in the restaurant was super friendly and attentive, but the quality of the food was not good. It was 45 dlls for the fried cod and 3 oysters... not worth it to be honest. Also, we got a table next to the window with a view to the beach (nice view), but the sun was so strong that our back and arms were burning. I recommend going to this restaurant around or after the sunset to avoid the sun burning from the windows.
They seated us very quick. Thank goodness I made a reservation because it was super packed. I love coming here.
