    Seared foie gras with duck confit appetizer was absolutely superb. Could have been my main meal. My entree was the Roast Rack of Colorado Lamb; better than excellent. Best rack of lamb I’ve ever had. All four of us had excellent appetizers and entrees. With all that food, we were all too full to move on to dessert which, by the way, looked very appealing. Great meal and our waiter, Hector, was attentive and gracious. Great evening.

    Columbus Hospitality Group restaurants are the best- Cuisine, service and ambiance are superb at all the restaurants. Mistral's menu is wide-ranging and delicious. The director of the restaurant group is amazing (Hoshang)- he is professional, visible in a non-assuming manner, and there is not a job that he does not help with. He is everywhere! it's so great to see him at all the restaurants!

    Nice high end restaurant. Great service as would be expected. What dropped my ratings is that everything was over salted and inconsistently salted. My halibut was bland on one half and crazy salty on the half. The portobello appetizer was amazingly good.

    Always a perfect evening at Mistral. The escargots and the seasonal truffle mac and cheese are a must! The romantic atmosphere and impeccable friendly service is another reason to come back again and again!

    Very poor service, celebrating thanksgiving eve with friends and family. Cold Foie Gras, says medium rare, but completely cold in the center. Even after bringing another dish it’s still the same results. Service is very poorly, been there quite a few times. Yet this time is very disappointed. Won’t return.

    The hospitality was great starting from the valet to receiving the check. Absolutely no complaints. Major kudos to our server Jim. He was a delight. The bus boy was on top of his game also. Food was outstanding, so big thumbs up to the Chefs. You all made the experience a memorable one for my daughter and I. See you soon.

    Overall it's a nice restaurant. It works if you want to impress someone by spending a lot of money on a fancy restaurant. The service is attentive and charming. I wish they didn't jam as many people into the restaurant though. If I spend this kind of money, I shouldn't hit elbows with my neighbor.

    The bread and apps were solid. Entrees were very bad - beef tenderloin was very dry and Dover sole had no flavor. We weren’t able to finish the entrees because of how bad they were. Besides the food, the overall service and experience was not on par with other upscale restaurants in Boston. Lack of attention to detail. Wouldn’t want to spend my own money again to figure out if it was just an off night.

    Went for a birthday dinner for my partner. The service was spotty (we had to flag down our waiter and ask for things rather than be asked, and nobody asked us about anything after the entrees were served.) I think I expected more from service before coming. Noise levels were high, and you could barely hear yourself over the sound of everybody talking. Ambience was not very good if you are expecting to have a romantic dinner date. Food-wise, we ordered the Escargot and Seared Foie-gras as appetizers and the Half Roasted Duck and Whole Rack of Lamb as entrees. These were what the waiter recommended as Mistral’s signature dishes. Before eating, they served us some delicious crusty bread, but never asked us if we wanted more butter which we finished pretty early on. The Escargot was deliciously garlicky and tender, but the Foie-gras was lackluster. It came out a little cold, and didn’t wow my partner and I. This was both taste-wise and temperature-wise. The bread was soggy and the taste was not on par with the cost. The Escargot was probably the best dish of the night. For the entrees, we can only recommend the Half Roasted Duck. That is not to say that the Rack of Lamb wasn’t good per se, but it was not $98 worth it. As the most expensive thing on the menu, I thought it would make me feel amazed both taste and presentation wise. However, I cannot with good conscious recommend it. It came out a little cold, and the taste was simple. Good, but not delicious, and the lamb really needed the sauce to have enough flavor. The sides were delicious but inconsistent. The Duck on the other hand, was the 2nd best dish of the night. The skin could be crispier, the meat wasn’t as well seasoned as we would have liked (needed salt), but the cranberry relish and mushroom risotto paired really well with the fatty duck. Portion sizes were really good with the duck, and we feel like two people only needed 1 appetizer, 1 entree, and maybe a dessert to feel satisfied.

    Mistral is a class operation. Gorgeous dining room with very high ceilings and lots of windows. Excellent service. The food is spectacular. The beef tenderloin and halibut were perfection as was the onion and squash soup. We shared a warm apple tart with caramel sauce that was superb. This is a very expensive restaurant, but it is worth every penny. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

    Sorry, but $98.00 for a piece of lamb is just not right. We used to love going there but last night we felt that the pricing was way off, even though we can afford it, neither my husband or I enjoy a clear rip off. If you go, you will love the beauty of the room and the excellent waitstaff. Next time we will enjoy sharing a caesar, which they do quite well and a flatbread and wine. Not the $84.00 ribs. If you love Dover Sole ($78.00) it is totally worth it and truly enough to share for 2. Enjoy

    Hello. I completely understand your concerns on the pricing. The cost of the quality of this Colorado Lamb is very high. We have considered taking it off the menu because of the cost but it is one of our most popular dishes. For lamb lovers we have recently added a lower priced Lamb Loin entree that you might enjoy. I do appreciate that we will see you again for the caeser and the pizza. Best meal in town. Thank you for the feedback.

    I’ve been going to Mistral for years! I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant it is still one of my go to for a lovely evening and meal. I had the onion soup for the first time - it is the best I have ever had in Boston! Even the bar is great vibe!

    Excellent meal. Excellent thoughtful service. Great ambiance. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My expectations were high and they were met and exceeded. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed the wines, the appetizers, the crusty bread, our entrees: lamb, duck, and a special vegan vegetable plate for my friend who follows a vegan diet. The coconut lemon sorbet provided a fantastic, tart and sweet end to the meal.

    Difficult to locate as there is construction in front but once there a beautiful restaurant. The service was perfect and the food delicious. My wife had the beef carpaccio and I the tuna tartare. We both followed with lamb loin cutlets. Perfectly done. The restaurant as a courtesy provided free luxury car transportation back to the hotel after our struggle to find the place.
