The ceviche mixto was superb. The lobster ravioli was excellent.
Service staff took care of every request promptly.
Restaurant was very Covid conscious, diners were well spread out. No seating at the bar due to Covid requirements but we still ordered cocktails once seated at our table. The Pisco Sour was excellent.
I will return to this restaurant and bring my friends.
We have been to Mistura a couple of times now and have been so impressed each time. The entire experience has exceeded expectations. Food is amazing!
service was lovely, but unfortunately the food wasn’t. Yucca cakes were way under seasoned, empanada dough was very tuff. The halibut was very good but couldn’t overcome the rest of the meal. I was so excited to finally eat here as a local. I’m sorry to leave a less than stellar review but was super unhappy. FYI, halter rosé way over priced.
This was my first visit to Mistura. I was in a party of three and we were all impressed with the atmosphere, service and food. We shared four dishes and left wanting to come back for another visit to taste the rest of the dishes on the menu!
P.S....the flour less chocolate cake was amazing in presentation and taste!
We had a wonderful dinner. My friend got the truffle ravioli which were to die for. I chose the short beef ribs (grass fed!) which were utterly amazing. Wish we had time to go back......I wanted to try the appetizers. Also had a lovely glass of rose!
I will definitely come back on my next trip to SLO!
Food was unique and well prepared. They had particularly creative deserts as well.
Really disappointed. Heard good things about the restaurant and looking forward to Peruvian menu but the paella was dry and ordinary, the ceviche was lackluster, the potato dish was good, but tasted like picnic potato salad...very expensive without a very interesting experience.
Such a cute place, friendly staff, amazing food and great prices!
Delicious food, knowledgeable server, and yummy drinks. Would definitely return. We loved everything about it. Not pictured amazing empanadas and Hiacaina. Also pico mojito! Yum!!
Amazing food, as a Peruvian, they really did a wonderful with all of the plates we tried. Great value for the price, and the desserts are something you have to try!
Best dinner in county without a doubt---delicious xxxxxxxxxxxx
Mistura was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! The food was fun and delicious, drinks were yummy, and the ambiance was easy-going and interesting. Our only regret was that we couldn't try everything in this one meal. We saw lots of other yummy looking selections that other groups were enjoying. Guess we'll just have to go back!!
the best place I have eaten in San Luis Obispo and over all in the last few years.
great service and place, will go back for sure
All 6 of us came on Saturday night. I reservation didn’t come trough- but she could seat us anyway! We got a nice table in the back. Waiter recommended paella, and we ordered. 15 min later he came back with bad news. No paella left.he suggested the Lamb dish.Lamb was horrible and dry/ too chewy. Sea bas was Delish! So was seviche. We all had a good time but I would not go back.
Very unique menu. Dining experience was excellent.
It was a treat to be out and Mistura was doing everything right during this time of Covid. Great spacing, prompt and friendly service, and the food was incredible as always!
Really an amazing culinary experience full of flavor. Highly recommended
The restaurant is fantastic. Starting with the salads, which are not just your typical salads. Delicious. We had the paella and the filet dish with potatoes and tomatoes and rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the desserts are an experience. From melting chocolate to displaying your cake underneath, to a dessert featuring liquid nitrogen. You won’t be disappointed
The current menu is vastly improved from their first (opening) menu. All the food was flavorful and inventive. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. A great dining experience.
Wonderful meal! Will definitely come back soon!
What a great experience! Food was excellent, wait staff was attentive and well versed with menu, and very cute interior. Will go again in a minute!
Great food, and very helpful employees...Did everything they could to make our experience a good one...
We love the food and ambiance, however, on this night, service was very slow and items were not received in the order in which we ordered them. This was problematic, as we ordered for a child first and she had to wait while the adults food was served first.
Great variety of fresh Peruvian cuisine with all the popular dishes and some less familiar. Knowledgeable friendly service. Reasonable prices. Stylish setting. Only downside was the long wait for the appetizer.
Service was awful! In a world where not only the food but the service experience really counts, I would rate this a 0; I will not return nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone! Sad but true, and I was so looking forward to a positive experience
Food was fabulous. Manager brought free dessert for the 2 birthday ladies. Le fleur is a 5 inch hollow ball of chocolate that is drizzled with a warm sauce that dissolves the ball into 4 pieces of chocolate that look like petals opening on a flower. It reveals a small piece of cake decorated with a few berries and sauce.
Presentation was spectacular and dessert was delicious
We did not stay because 3 of our group are vegans and there wasn't much they could order. But the restaurant looks lovely. Think about more menu options.
This was my 5th visit to Mistura (Paso and SLO). As always, the food and service was wonderful. I have introduced many friends to this restaurant and we consider it a very special treat. I will continue to explore the menu, and look forward to my next visit!
The service was good. They had a table ready for us. The host and server were friendly. The food was delicious. The price is a little on the high end, but worth it for the occasion. Thanks!
Everything was fantastic!
Poor, slow service - we constantly had to ask for things, starting with the menus, water, drinks, to order, etc. Our waiter basically ignored us for most of our time there. Except for the ceviche, the seafood was not fresh and the meat overcooked.
Pricey and did not seem prepared for the evening. Server did not check in and food was delicious but very small portions. Yummy drinks but pricey.
The menu is next to impossible to understand. This was not just us, I heard the table next to us complaining about it. The restaurant had a prix fixe menu and the only appetizer you could order was seafood with shellfish (a lot of people don't eat seafood or allergic to shellfish) and the whole prix fixe was $75 without a drink. Way $$$$ for what you get. After the server explained the menu we ordered the yuca appetizer it was under cooked and under seasoned. I had the mushroom ravioli for $30 ($$$) which was ok but way too rich for a main course. The ceviche was ok. They need to fix the menu, lower prices, and improve some of the courses.
The food was amazing, presentation was amazing. The alpaca was delicious i can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu
Awesome food quality, service was excellent. Decent wine choices. Meat was tender and my husband who finds most lamb dishes gamey; this time he did not mind it at all. 10/ 10 points for that. Quaint little place, downtown- good parking
One of the best meals I've had in the last year, amazing food and a well picked wine list. Highly recommended.
Excellent restaurant with a Peruvian flare!! I had the lamb shank which was fabulous. Be sure and try one of their fresh fish ceviches.
The food was delicious and the flavors very complex. The service was on the slow side, but our waiter's table responsibility seemed to be on the heavy side versus the other servers.
Since we were not familiar with Peruvian cuisine we decided to give it a go for date night. We did not know what most of the menu items were but our server was great with explaining the food. We started with Yucca fries as we were familiar with them. Very tasty but we could have used just a bit more dipping sauce. The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious. We shared a Senor Lomos entree which was plentiful and delicious. We will turn to try more on the menu.
