My family had an excellent experience! This was for a post funeral family dinner and I had requested a semi-private area or somewhere towards the back. The restaurant was very accommodating even when I had to add a couple more people to my reservations (we were a party of 14). Food is excellent! We pretty much ordered a wide array of appetizers, side dishes, entrees & desserts and they were all excellent. The service is fantastic, everything came out in a very timely manner, and the staff was very attentive. Felipe was our server and he was great! Even the general manager, Brian, was there and stopped by to check in on us. Really appreciated everyone there. It made our time with our family extra special ❤️ Thank you!

Jackie was a great waitress. She was very attentive to our table. The food was delicious. The presentation was very good too. Over all I highly recommend this restaurant!

First time we’ve visited since no longer a Cameron Mitchell owned spot and is now noticeably less enjoyable. We felt rushed and pushed into ordering when we were out to celebrate the season with a fine dining meal. The tuna tartare was served over guacamole which overpowered the flavor of the tuna. The chips served with the tartare were cold, slightly stale with a greasy taste. Our steaks were cooked properly to our liking however the bearnaise sauce lacked flavor and I had to search for the crab in my Oscar topping. Overall we agreed that several fine details in service and food quality were not equal to the price and expectations of a fine dining steak house.

Extremely disappointed with the overall experience, especially on Thanksgiving night. Service was slow from start to finish. Bread, soups, and salads were served separately and with significant time in between. The server was less than attentive. We asked for the status on food, the server replied that it was a longer wait due to one steak being requested as well done which was clearly not the case. When food finally arrived ~1 hour later the food was cold and overdone. It was clear the food had been sitting for a while without being given to us. Ordered steaks medium to medium rare and they were well done and tough. Even side dishes were cold. This is less than acceptable when it was about $60/person. When speaking to the server and manager they only offered us free dessert as compensation. When bringing the bill we were told not to worry because gratuity was “mostly included”. After waiting another 30-45 mins to speak to another manager they finally mustered up comping $100 off the bill. Thanks anyway but won’t be back.

I have to say that I was disappointed with my experience last night. Food was not prepared to our order and the fillet Oscar barely had but a small finger of crab at the most. Our server lost our ticket, and the sides only showed up after the main course and we had to remind them. The cappuccino at the end of the meal was barely warm.

Eric, the bartender, was wonderful. Service and the food was great! We made it to our show in plenty of time. Loved the Happy Hour. Loved the prices!

I visit Columbus regularly and have always been very impressed with all of Cameron Mitchell’s restaurants. The food was good, the wine list was really lacking for a nice steakhouse. It was predominately better “grocery store” wine. No vintages, no higher end bottles, almost zero French reds. Mostly “popular” name brands from Cali. The service is what really seems to have changed. Mitchell’s always has crisp highly knowledgeable servers. Our was attentive and friendly, but we certainly did not get the experience I always expect from a Mitchell’s brand. Again, nothing was bad, just not exceptional.

Caesar salad nondescript. Filet overcooked and dry. Meatballs appetizer and crème brûlée excellent. Server harried, slow to clear dirty dishes, mixup on checks. Steak Diane good flavor but had a couple gristly bites that had to be spit out. Chopped salad good, Mac and cheese good. Overall didn’t come up to the hype.

No valet parking on Mondays. We made it in time for our reservation and then spent several minutes trying to secure parking and download the parking lot app and walk to the restaurant in a drizzle. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to know beforehand. Restaurant is beautiful- airy and open while still being cozy and not overwhelming. Our server was nice, but not very knowledgeable about the dishes (he told us the beet salad was on microgreens with goat cheese and it was beets, onions, and goat cheese crema) and we waited about 30 minutes before he took our order. The website says October is National Seafood month and you can add bacon wrapped shrimp (3 each) for $12. He had never heard of that and was confused. I showed him the website and he said he would let the chef know. 2 barbecue sauced bacon shrimp were put on the plate with my entree, but he didnt come back until the end of the meal to ask how anything was or refill water. We let the server know we were missing shrimp and he did take the $12 off the bill, but he had me pull out my phone and access the restaurant’s website again and it was kind of embarrassing. The beet salad was bland and the presentation was lacking. Our entrees of the Sea Bass and filet and the cauliflower gratin were delicious, as were our cocktails, but the service was definitely subpar.

we had dinner at your steakhouse Thursday the 12th of October and it was the worst dinner I think I have ever had. My girlfriend went to sit down and sat in a wine glass that broke everywhere and cut her finger. She was bleeding for close to 20 minutes before the manager came out and offered us band aids. One to be exact. If you combine that with the worst possible service ever in a high class restaurant I honestly don’t know your restaurant is still in business.

Food is good if you can get the attention it your service staff. The manager seemed to be busy with chatting with other staff at the front desk and any attempts to get his attention for faster service failed.

I want to thank the staff of Mitchell's Steakhouse Downtown for my experience today. I had a scheduled lunch with a business associate, and I want to say that the restaurant went above and beyond in every manner to provide us with a professional and exceptional lunch. It all started with a friendly greeting upon our arrival in the historical and grandiose space. We were seated in our favorite spot and the server had the perfect balance of engagement due to our scheduled meeting. The food was beautifully plated to the point that I had to embarrassingly take a photo. My colleague had my favorite on the menu, which is the Chilean Sea Bass, and it did not disappoint. The updated preparation is phenomenal and a truly a stunning plate. I had to try one of the new menu items under the "Chef Recommends," section. The Crispy Duck was so well plated, stunning, and most importantly delicious. Not only will I be going back for this new feature, but to try the others that I have not yet had. What set all of this over the top, was that the Chef made a personal appearance at our table to make sure that we appreciated the food and he was truly engaging. I must say that I go to steakhouses often and it is rare that you get a chef driven experience with composed dishes. Please put Mitchell's Steakhouse Downtown on your map for your business meetings if you want to impress. It's also a wonderful option for treating yourself. Thank you to all of those in the front of the house and the back of the house for making everything so special!

I want to thank the front and back of the house for the stellar lunch I had today. Not only was the service staff attentive and friendly but she went above and beyond in every way, thinking of what I needed before I knew I did. The food was excellent and well presented. This is not your typical steakhouse where it’s only about the protein. The food was beautiful plated and felt like a composed dish. The chef also made a point to touch my table to make sure everything was to my liking. In addition to this lovely experience, I really appreciate the small things. I had asked if the bread was new, and actually it was a sourdough from a new bakery, served with a beautifully whipped butter topped with finishing salt. It makes you want more, even though you know you shouldn’t. I would highly suggest this restaurant for your business travel, date night, or just treating yourself. Thank you to all who made my afternoon special!

Food was good , we informed our waiter that the broccolini was too spicy to eat, we hadn’t touched it and he said “ ya it’s got a kick to it” and that was all, didn’t ask even if we’d like to order something else. Other than that it was good.

We've eaten at Mitchell's at least six times. Always a good experience in the past. This visit was a little different. They are now pushing a membership/rewards program. Our dining experience ended with what felt like a timeshare sales pitch because they 'hold' $25 that can later be applied to a future check. Really off-putting way to end an expensive dinner.

First off (our fault) we assumed it was still in the Cameron Mitchell family and had gift cards that couldn’t be used. Second, our medium rare filets were medium well, salty, and tough. I should have sent them back, but that’s usually not how I do things. Wine list was good. Bread was great. Mashed potatoes were lovely. Tuna tartare was fabulous. A solid 3/5.

I have eaten here a lot over the years, my Boss was in town and ordered a Ribeye stack. It had a very bad smell to the stack and lost his appetite. Needless to say he was not happy.

We have been here many times before. This was the first time we were extremely disappointed in the service ,the taste of the tomahawk steak, the cold plates, the late delivery of barely warm baked potato, the server who never apologized for any of the problems and several other issues. Sad to see a restaurant we have loved go so far down. The dinner was supposed to be special & wonderful — it was just the opposite! The manager did acknowledge the problems & comped us desserts, ( which were delicious), but that didn’t cover up the overall disappointment.

The steak and mashed potatoes were cooked to perfection. I got the Eye of the ribeye medium rare and date got the Prime New York Strip medium well with the peppercorn sauce. Very flavorful. The mousse dessert was fantastic and shareable for 2.

Unfortunately, this once great Steakhouse is not what it used to be. I hosted two business meals there this week and mother were up to par. The first was dinner. Service was very slow, I believe it was a staffing issue. Several steaks were over cooked.
