Mocha Red brings a Kosher Miami/Tulum Vibe to Union Square in New York! There has never been a Kosher steakhouse like Mocha Red, we will have the best of American/MediterrAsian fusion cuisine & an extensive selection of wine, spirits, beer & artisanal craft cocktails. Spectacular aesthetics include bespoke hand-crafted furniture & specially commissioned artwork in an atmosphere that feels like a tropical vacation in the heart of New York City. Think Wynwood, Miami meets Tulum! Mr. Exclusive, who designed many of the murals in Wynwood, has created original art for the walls at Mocha Red. At Mocha Red, you’ll have a multi-sensory dining experience, with a dash of theatre. Elements of your meal are prepared table-side on a Robato grill, to the rhythm of chill Tulum pulses and beats.     Best kosher steak I have ever eaten in a fabulous setting. Coming from Australia we found the overall cost rather expensive but with every box being easily ticked I would say it was well worth it.

    Me and my ladies had a bachelorette party here last night and let me tell youuuuu!!!!! We partiedddddd the vibes were amazing. The energy was great the staff was awesome! This is the place to be guys omg the best night of my life by far! They blasted music so me and my ladies danced and all the other customers joined it it was crazy!! Best place ever

    Came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s 30th birthday with a group of 10. Staff was very accommodating for it to be a surprise & sitting all the guests before we arrived to pull off the big reveal. Food was phenomenal & the waiters were incredibly patient with us. The Tomahawk was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The DJ was willing to play Barbie Girl when my boyfriend’s birthday dessert came out as a joke from one of his friends & everything was perfect! The chef came out to speak with us, gave us complimentary shots for the occasion & was incredibly polite. Can’t recommend enough & will definitely be back!

    Haven’t seen my server all night. Ladie in the front had attitude and wasn’t there to help. I asked her to take a photo of us and she gave my phone over to someone else and rolled her eyes. I kept trying to get a servers attention but no one would come. When a different waiter came he smelled like alcohol. Service wasn’t good at all.

    I've now been to Mocha Red twice, and both times, I had an outstanding meal! This is now my go-to for a nice meal or celebration. It is loud, but in a hip, celebratory way. I really couldn't say enough complimentary things about it. The Bao Buns are to die for, my very picky son said the short rib burger was the best burger he's had in his life, and the steaks are perfect. I'd rate Mocha Red a WOW.

    They were understaffed with only one staff member waiting on everyone's table. Not sure if it's because it was a slow night. Service needs to improve a we felt rushed out. They told us kitchen closes at 11:45pm and come 11:20 they were already packing up and waiting for us to leave.

    Family dinner for 7. Excellent and attentive service. Fabulous food, cooked to perfection. Not my first time there but most of my family. Truly a repeat visit.

    First time here. Great ambiance and very nice service. The waiters , although being nice , they were watching TV on all the screens by the bar and it was hard to get their attention at times. Our water was never refilled on its own we had to try hard to get someones attention. The food was great , different and fresh which we enjoyed very much. However what I simply cannot understand for the life of me, is why such a nice restaurant would have such a bad variety of desserts! It literally had us leaving with a bad taste in our mouth. We ordered the 2 hot brownies with ice cream. The brownie tasted burnt or way too well done , the ice cream which was ok was so small it fit on less than a teaspoon. The chocolate chip cake tasted ok but did not taste fresh and also had a drop of ice cream. The cake was not hot they were luke warm/ cold. The nice waitress offered us another dessert , she gave us a apple cobbler which tasted like soggy apples that was hard to bite into and not fresh at all. Mind you we were charged for the dessert. I hate complaining when in the store as I feel like an idiot so we just paid and left a nice tip. Again food was creative, fresh and enjoyable but the dessert is lacking.

    We came here for the ambiance, drinks, and steak. What we got was the worst service we’ve ever had at a restaurant on a night that was no where near busy. Our waitress had to ask us multiple times what we were referring to on the menu, which for the price of the food and drinks she should be knowledgeable about the entire menu. They were also out of multiple menu items which was frustrating. We had to ask for water refills MULTIPLE times and I went up to the bar to get a coke refill. This was all happening while the waitress was leaning against the bar chatting with other staff. If she was busy, totally different story. The two other tables around us had the same service and complaints. It’s sad because the food was excellent. It took us over 2 hours to get through our meal and most of that was just waiting around on our waitress to take our orders, clear plates, and bring our check.

    We had a lovely meal at Mocha Red. The cocktails we began with were great; tasty and creative and not overly sweet. We tried several appetizers. I especially liked the brisket tacos; nice and smokey with freshly made taco shells. My husband liked the chicken lollipops with waffles. We split a lamb kebab, which was plenty for two with no leftovers. It was the weakest part of the meal. The meat was well-seasoned, but the texture was a little bit on the dense side. Still, I’d return and definitely recommend a visit. The service was not overly intrusive, but just the right level of attentive.

    Our waiter was very inattentive during beverage and dinner services. Needed to ask several table cleaning employees to ask for refills and plate clearing. Was highly recommended but won’t be returning.

    the food was fantastic. In terms of service, it was absolutely horrible. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn't get our food until 9, after asking multiple times where it was. Our waitress was so rude and did not seem to care, and we had to remind her several times that we ordered something. 3 of our orders did not come out right. Other than that, the food was great.

    Exceptional dining experience at MOCHA RED Steakhouse. My Caesar salad, branzino and chocolate chip souffle were all delicious. My server Diego was absolutely wonderful, and the space is so beautiful. I look forward to returning very soon.

    They need to hire normal chefs. Appetizers are horrible. Tomahawk steak was great! Appetizers suck! Not worth $5 for appetizers. My wife cooks better appetizers and she can’t cook! Dessert chocolate soufflé was horrible as well. Drinks and main course = solid. Appetizers and dessert = trash!

    Service was a bit slow in the beginning. We waited about a 1/2 hour to order and for water (which I requested twice) and waiters seemed very overwhelmed. Once we finally ordered food came fairly quickly. Food was good, though drinks are pretty pricey. The music did get quite loud at times (we heard 3 “shorty, it’s your birthday”) but it did go down and it wasn’t very disruptive. It’s not the place for a business dinner or for serious conversations but fun for a night out with friends.

    I went to that place for Valentine's Day and it was a mistake. I had to wait almost 30 minutes with a reservation to get a table. I told the manager who was at the door and he ignored me. I had to talk to someone else so they could help me. Already at the table I ordered a starter and the food together because the food took a while and the starter never came. the experience was bad. I do not recommend that place. the service is very bad for how expensive it is.

    We eat in many kosher restaurants…. But it’s a first time in Micha Red & we’ll decently return in our next visit to NYC. The meat is of a top quality and worth every penny. The restaurant is well designed with a fun music. We came to celebrate my daughters birthday and it was a great choice!

    The ambiance is great! The server barely checked up on us. My friend asked if the dish was white meat she said yes while it was dark meat, so that meal was sent back. Every item was extremely salty. I only recommend this restaurant for cocktails and the ambiance.
