There was a 22 minute gap between sitting down and receiving our drinks. I understand you’re busy, but it only takes a few seconds to pour a glass of wine.
The burger was amazing. The burrata was amazing. The spinach side was weak.
Morsey’s will be our regular dining place to go. Food is always good and generous portions. One of my favorite dish is the beet salad. We are always too full to have dessert.
We were a big group of friends and kids and the restaurant could easily accommodate all of us. The food was quick to come to us and it was fresh and good. No complaints.
Well presented okay s that were so delicious . Th staff were friendly and attentive. The buffalo milk cheese is also a greet find!
Everything was just good. Nothing stood out. Had flatbread and baby lettuce apps. Had salmon and the buffalo burger. No desert
Wine by the glass was overpriced
Neighborhood gem with cherry, attentive service and a focus on fresh buffalo products from the family's farm. Dishes like the crispy skin steelhead salmon hit home, but others like the crab melt and overly acidic brussel sprout side fall very flat.
The menu is enticing. The chefs at Morsey’s are talented. They create wonderful recipes that are tasty and not full of fat. The poblano soup was amazing. The use of buffalo mozzarella is appreciated as the fat content is less than normal cow’s cheese. Our favorites are the bolognese and the moussaka for dinner. This is a unique gem located in Los Altos that has excellent food.
My husband, my brother and I had dinner and it was really nice. The food was excellent and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
Overall: food is decent, service is great. Kids-friendly which is a plus for us.
Warm kale salad was the highlight - a bit over dressed, but otherwise delicious. I could've eaten another bowl. The green salad looked good, though I didn't try any. Bolognese was okay. Salmon was good.
Our servers were attentive, friendly, and prompt. They brought crayons for my older child and brought out his food as soon it was ready.
The home-made milk gelato made my son's night - not too sweet and one scoop was just the right amount.
Their food is fabulous. Highly recommend the buffalo burger or the crispy skinned Salmon.
Quiet dining and delicious food. The glasses of wine were expensive though.
I had their chicken dish, which included delicious spinach and roasted potatoes.
I look forward to trying their cheese sampler plate.
The food here is amazing! The eggs are fluffy. Coffee is pressed, served with frothy warm cream. The biscuits and gravy are to die for as are the pancakes. My new favorite breakfast place.
Morsey's is a local faire, with some great dishes. Buffalo is leaner so the carbonara is not as rich as one would expect, but perhaps that's not a bad thing for one's waistline. The burrata with balsamic vinegar and tomatoes was excellent, as was the mushroom ravioli. The egg souffles are light and airy, and a delight for brunch. I will be returning to try everything.
The waitress was FABULOUS in making appetizer suggestions for our party of four.
First time dining and food was great. Definitely will go back to try other dishes. I had beet salad and entré and was so full that I could not even had dessert. Hint is, either you have appetizers and entré or entré and dessert.
Wonderful experience. We shall return often. Not noisy. Terrific waiter.
To be fair, it could have been an off night. Restaurant was not busy at 5:45 for our reservation. It filled up later. There was only one wait staff and 3 servers. We got our cheese plates fairly timely. However, it took 45 min before she took our dinner order. We waited another 30 min after we finished our dinner to get our check. That was only after we asked for it. She was disappointed we didn’t order dessert but we didn’t want to be there till possibly midnight. Cheese plates were great. Some entrees were just ok. Moussaka was good. The place seem to be busy and that’s why I say it might be an off night. Food wasn’t good enough for me to want to give it another shot with the long wait in between.
WOW! How have i not known about this place?? Started with a burrata cheese plate - done caprese and with fig jam. Delightful! Hubby had cioppino and raved about it. I ordered a veggie sandwich and was in heaven. We did a side of brussel sprouts (only because i didn't think my sandwich came with a side but it did.) sprouts were tasty. Everything we ate was delicious. We were so stuffed we couldn't bring ourselves to order the buffalo milk gelato, but they were gracious to give us a taster and it was in line with everything else we ate - Delicious! This is a hidden gem. there were not many people in the restaurant, which is a true shame. They look to have a good breakfast menu as well. Definitely check this place out!
We tried them for lunch and were impressed. The restaurant is owned by a farm family who have buffalo, and the restaurant feaftures products from thr farm. My wife had a buffalo burger with roasted tomato and buffalo cheese. She found it very tasty. I had the mussels and fries which were the best I have had in California, especially the creamy broth. My only negatives are prices, although the Counter has a $4 up charge for a buffalo burger and the hard finishes that would produce a noisey environment if the restaurant was crowded.
Perfect place for a date night! My husband is from India and grew up drinking water buffalo milk. The restaurant owners have a 400-head water buffalo farm near Sacramento. Their cheese and many of the dishes incorporate these products - and it is delicious! My family is from Wisconsin so I am picky about cheese - that buffalo burrata with fig was unbelievably delicious. Give this place a try for dinner - I know you won't be disappointed.
Restaurant features cheese, ice cream, and other dairy products from water buffalos -- a great option for those who don't tolerate lactose. The beet salad -- with candied nuts, greens, and a soft cheese -- was particularly good. WARNING: they serve veal! Chocolate ice-cream was like a cross between gelato and ice-cream, fairly chocolate-y and moderately rich. When we arrived they didn't realize that we had made an OpenTable reservation (or any reservation at all); when I called earlier in the day for a reservation, no one answered the phone, and the voice mailbox was full. We requested a glass of wine but were served two; however, we did not say anything, and we paid for both glasses. I would have liked a refill of the ice in my glass, but it wasn't offered. We could not locate the fish on the menu on our Monterey Bay Aquarium sustainable seafood app, so there seems to be some information about the fish that wasn't precisely clear to the restaurant. Otherwise, the service was good. It was thoughtful that they gave us new plates between courses, since we were splitting both a salad and an entree. The player piano was pleasant but the tunes weren't as cleanly played as I would have liked them. It was fairly quiet on a Sunday evening with few customers, but we've been there on a Saturday night when part of the restaurant was a bit noisy. Overall, I'd rate it a 4+.
Excellent, healthy food and a very pleasant atmosphere!
We went for the first time to Morsey's Farmhouse on a date night. We went for early dinner at 6:00pm. The service was lovely and the food delicious! The brussel sprouts and beet salad were amazing! I also loved the French Fries. Everything was presented perfectly. There are only a few vegetarian options, but I knew that before going and had my heart set on the beet salad and brussel sprouts. Had a pecan tart for dessert. I would only give the tart a C rating, but the rest of the food was very good. The piano is a bit on the loud side but we asked to be seated far away from the piano and it was perfect background music to our conversation. We will go again.
Casual and stylish. Spotless and relaxing.
Fresh and healthy selections beautifully plated.
Gracious and efficient waitstaff.
Just awful! The prime rib special was over cooked, sorry looking with over dried baked potato with nothing on it. The wild mushroom ravioli came with a gallon of sauce on top. The cheese and fig jam looked like a complete disaster.
The service is slow and nothing to write about. There are much better places in the area to get a decent food or prime rib. We will not come back again.
We LOVE Morsey’s! Comfort food with a farm to table twist. The staff is very attentive and we have not had a bad choice off the menu. Be sure to get the Morsey’s potatoes.
It was not very welcoming, the atmosphere was cold. Service was ok, but not great. The food was very average and did not justify the prices
If you're not into buffalo meat, the menu offers a good selection of salads and flatbreads. We have dined at Morsey's twice for dinner and once for breakfast/brunch. Breakfast/brunch is counter service. We suggest that the owner consider table service to draw the weekend crowd. We did notice that the window sills were filthy (hair, dirt); should be cleaned daily.
A very pleasant, upscale restaurant in downtown Los Altos. We appreciata that they use local, organic and sustainaable foods. Jesus is a very pleaant and attentive waiter. Perhaps the music can be a bit loud at times. Their menu continues to evolve. It is a place we will return to.
Good was good but portions are very small for the cost. I added salmon to a salad for $9 and it was literally 3 bites.
I have enjoyed Morseys’s previously but Saturday Service was very slow.
Not a vegetarian friendly menu.
Pricey and not that many options for vegetarian
Excellent food in a pleasant indoor / outdoor setting. Good wine selection
Had the same experience as many other diners...entrees served too soon after appetizers. Also we expected good quality meat given the price, and that steaks were featured the night we were there. Boy were we wrong! Would have been better off at Sizzler...
Great dining experience in Los Altos. Large portions, friendly service, good food, yummy wine.
Enjoyed a very good meal and family gathering with excellent service.
My husband and I ordered different dishes with rigatoni and we both thought they were dry - in need of more sauce. Our son's mushroom ravioli was quite good though, as was the caesar salad. The french onion soup was a bit off - it has sherry, not a classic recipe.
This was the third time we went to Morsey’s. The food was very good everytime. The only complain was it was very slow in getting food on the table. They had two big groups, 16 and 10, we waited one hour for our food. If you really dig their baffalo steak, burger and cheeses, by all means go.
I will most likely go again and call ahead of time to make sure the service is prompt.
Had a great meal with family, food was good and service excellent. Will go again, hope more people try, as it is a new venue and I hope it will survive.
