Morton's The Steakhouse - San Francisco
Filet Mignon Trio
Served with beurre blanc sauce
Souffle for Two
Lovely traditional steak house. Very old school feel which I loved.
The server was stretched froM the moment we sat down. We had to wait for drinks and even water took a long time. When ordering nothing was explained like it was to the tables around. Steak had a ‘jus’ on top which looked like it had not been left to rest. Sour cream mash had no taste. Mushrooms and spinach hardly cooked. We were gutted after choosing this for our Saturday night when visiting San Francisco
Had an Heirloom tomatoe salad. They were over ripe, mealy, and tasted like a grocery store tomatoe. No flavor. When the water asked about the food, he offered to bring us another tomatoe, but we were already on to the main dish. Everything else was good quality.
post birthday celebration
Post Hamilton dinner. Great show. Great meal.
Great birthday bash for our twin boys. Nancy was our server and she was fantastic. Selection of meats were wonderfully prepared. So many sides to choose from that kept our mouths watering for more. Nice lighting and not loud at all.
New job celebration. Food was great and so was the service!
Valor seguro! No falla. Filet Mignon bien cocinado y ambiente tranquilo.
With gf. Had dinner the waiter was the best I’ve ever had. Super kind and knew the menu so well.
It was fabulous!!!
Excellent dinner, wine, and service. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed. We are regulars at Ruths Chris but decided to try something different for Valentines day this year. Bad decision... service was rushed. Ribeye was charred and tasted burnt. Filet ordered medium was well done. $200. Sorry Mortons, we wont be back.
Great food and great service!
We celebrated my mothers birthday! She had never been before and loves steak so I surprised her! Initially we were seated somewhere she didn’t care to sit but one of the staff members were so in tune and intuitive that she offered to move us without us asking! The steak was great along with the lobster Mac n cheese. Plenty of staff came by our table to ask if were were good which felt good! I love the establishment and there service as well as the food
Food was wonderful as always. Service was lacking a bit. They brought steaks out before salads. Waiter seemed a little distracted.
Birthday dinner absolutely amazing filet Mignon 6oz with seasoned Brussels and double chocolate mouse
Excellent Food and Service!
Amazing experience 😍
I had an amazing experience celebrating my 40th Birthday ❤️
Food was wonderful. They need to take better upkeep of the restrooms. And it would be nice if you could request either a booth or table upon reservation. But the dining experience was excellent as usual.
Great great great! Yes got there the food was good the wine we brought was better lol! Our waitress was exceptionally professional friendly and fun. Yes we will return soon. We were a party of six drank six bottles of wine (party on they say). Keep in mind some restaurants limit any size party to two bottles of wine the customer can bring, not Mortons. Support this policy and go and enjoy Mortons!
Our waitress was attentive. Nice to have the manager checked in with us to see how we were doing.
My wife's Coulotte steak and my Cajun Ribeye were done perfectly and delicious. For dessert, the
Souffle was fantastic.
La mesera que nos atendió muy tardará y no nos atendió cómo debió ser , teníamos que pedir a otro mesero las cosas
The cajun steak is just wonderful and try it with grilled onions!
This is the Steak! We enjoyed RIBEYE 16oz. The service is also good.
Host with no education, bad service
My husband and I enjoyed a night out on the town. We enjoyed our meal and would consider returning. However, there is no valet parking, so plan to street park or pay for a lot.
The servers were great, but from the reservation time to the check, it took two-hours. There was a lot of wait for each course, even drinks were a 10-15 minute wait.
It was exceptional and the food and service was excellent.
It was my sister’s 50th Birthday and I wanted to make it special for her which our waitress Nanci did until we got our food. I’ve been to many steakhouses and I thought Morton’s would be on top of the list, however this was not the case I felt I was at a BJ’s when it came to quality of meat. The sides were decent but again I can’t express it enough if it wasn’t for Nanci I would have complain right there and then. My bill came up to a total of $700 and I tipped Nanci a well deserved 25%. However let’s just say if I had it my way I would giving the Nanci the money of the bill and give the restaurant her tip for the food. NEVER AGAIN!!! STAY AWAY FROM MORTON’S IN SAN FRANCISCO.
Had a beautiful dinner with my family on New Year’s Eve. Everything was delicious and the service fantastic. I knew it was going to be pricey, but not that pricey. Dinner for 4 (2 adults and 2 children and my husband and I each had one drink) was $550. Each item was a la carte. It was worth it for the New Year’s Eve experience, but that was a one and done.
Made reservation 3 weeks in advance for 4. Seated promptly. Very dark dining rooms impossible to read menu. used Iphone to see, but still difficult. Ordered appetizers.Quite good. Then waited 1 and 1/2 hours for entrée. steaks were lukewarm. One had much fat and gristle. Flavor was good. The long wait was frustrating and I felt embarrassed as this was my choice for a special occasion. They did not charge for the wine but that cannot compensate for a spoiled evening. We wont be back.
12 oz Filet mignon just a touch above medium rare - I got a medium all around the outer edges and cold raw inch an a half center Refrigerator cold Sand meat was taken out of her refrigerator thrown on too hot of a grill sears the outer edges with the Ross center basically. Server was wonderful
Had dinner here with some friends. We hadn’t been to Morton’s for sometime and I would have to say that it wasn’t the Morton’s of the past that I had enjoyed so much. It was actually a disappointment. My wife had a steak that was under cooked and I wanted to have lobster, but they no longer offer a whole lobster and only have tails now. So I went for lamb which we had to send back as it was also under cooked. Our drinks were nice and they had a good wine list. We will head to Ruth Chris next time.
Ordered the Miso marinated sea bass. The dish arrived and appeared to be okay. While the fish appeared to be cooked on the outside, the inside was not cooked through appearing raw. I had already dished up my sides on the dish. I signaled the waiter, Sunny, who was very responsive and apologetic. He returned the dish to the kitchen. Sunny returned at a point signaling that the replacement dish would be brought to the table by the manager, Mike. Mike showed up, looked at me, dropped off the dish and hurriedly scampered off with a "sorry for the inconvenience". The side dishes of mashed potatoes, asparagus and brussell sprouts were not replaced or refreshed for the table. The bar was backed up and cocktails took a long time to arrive. The meal took a long time to arrive and when my dish did arrive it wasn't properly cooked. Mike appeared very apathetic. Sunny appeared to appeal to the manager, Mike to comp or desert or make some gesture to correct the less than stellar dining experience. When the meal was complete Sunny stated he would see if Mike would comp desert, but couldn't make any guarantees. We weren't interested in dessert after the disappointing experience. I choose to go elsewhere for my coffee and dessert experience. Even so, Mike was unwilling to make any good will gesture or good faith customer service. The check came, and even though the sides ordered were not replaced/refreshed, the check was the full price. We paid the bill, tipped Sunny, because it wasn't a reflection on him, the poor quality dining experince. I decided to communicate my experience to Mike and he was made aware of my desire to speak to him, calmly and factually. He was standing on the floor overlooking the service of the house. The message was delivered to return to our table. He took his time, when met with direct eye contact, he hid behind a column to avoid being seen. He eventually, returned to the table and I communicated my disappointment. Won't return.
We celebrated Mom's 80th birthday here., the latest of many visits. Food and service were top notch. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
Great food but with subpar service.
La comida es espectacular. Llegamos un poco antes de la reservación y no nos dieron mesa hasta que fue la hora exacta de la reserva
We expected much more from our first visit to Mortons SF. Mediocre food and service at best. Pretty decent filet but the shrimp and scallops on the mixed grill were abysmal. There are much better restaurants in SF, even under the Landry brand, for half to a third of the price. Very disappointing.
