    Service was excellent, food was meh...not all that impressive. Pretty smallish sirloin, artichoke ricotta ravioli were almost tasty but lukewarm. The highlights were the hot bread, the Wedge salad, and the sticky toffee pudding dessert. Had heard there was a new menu and new head chef, but honestly we were underwhelmed. Would try again just to give them a second chance.

    Wife and I have eaten there several times. Food has always been good. This visit was for Thanksgiving and we both had the special Turkey meal. OUTSTANDING! Our compliments to the chef. Took me back to the time of family meals with my grandmother.

    Great restaurant as always. We arrived 45 minutes early and saw many empty tables, however the 2 young hostesses at the podium refused to seat us early. Aside from that it was a pleasant afternoon.

    Had a special evening planned. Steak was ordered medium , and was well done, so much that The outside was black. Bread was cold. Service was lousy. Had something special to be written on a dessert plate and didn’t even come close to what it was suppose to say! Highly disappointing. Especially given the price-you expect top notch service and food! Had eaten here a while ago and it was amazing-can’t say that about my recent experience.

    The Sunset Menu is a great value. But our waiter told us that even small changes/substitutions were difficult, at best. Other than a mix-up with our check, the service was rather good.

    Disappointed in the new menu. I miss having the soup/salad included vs new ala carte options. Lobster was very overcooked but the filet and au gratin potatoes were great!

    We had one of the most delicious dinners ever and really enjoyed our experience! Service was great and the food was outstanding! The relish tray with dipping sauce was a very nice touch!

    Great food. Our server was a bit slow and forgot items but otherwise it was a good experience. The busboy made up for all the servers mistakes. Wish I could of tipped him instead.

    Went there with friends,To buy them dinner for helping us. My wife and I usually go to the steak house on special occasions ; as it is $$$. I ordered a Rib eye came back cooked well,however I don't like it when; The steak is 1/3 fat and gristle. My friends wife ordered a Crab/pasta ,was good except very little Crab. My friend ordered a rib-eye, my wife filet-Mignon both were happy with their meals. I would have said something about my meal, But didn't because i didn't want create a scene.

    Food was great. Have an awesome “sunset menu” from 4:30-5:30. Great value. Oysters were excellent as well as halibut. Manager was wonderful getting us seated and checking in regularly. Our server Annaley was awesome. Great table presence and never had a half empty water. Overall great experience. We paid the same for a dinner the week before, food was great but service terrible and it really drug the experience down. Not our experience at Nevada Steak. Between food, ambiance, manager, and server, our experience was great! Thank you Nevada Steak.

    Appetizers, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters and French Onion Soup were outstanding. I had the Crab Capellini which was average. The helping was large, but the pasta was all stuck together as though there was an abundance of cheese. The description did not match the flavors. The service was good. I will definitely dine there again.

    Went to try the Nevada Steak. I ordered the Halibut with Augratin potatoes and green beans with a wedge salad it was delicious. My daughter ordered the surf and turf with buttery mashed potatoes well she said the steak was really good but the lobster was overcooked and hard to chew so waiter got her another lobster it was cooked okay but had hard skin type stuff on it like the first one couldn't eat it. It could be the quality of the lobster or the skin from inside the shell sticking to lobster and making it so tough you can't chew it. Hope they work out the lobster problems, her mashed potatoes come in a cast iron hot pan but when they put cold cream over potatoes they were cold. Give Tamarack a try and hope you like it. We will go back just won't get the lobster or mashed potatoes.

    The halibut was dry. 2 people had it and both felt it was dry. The butter sauce was way too spicy so they did not use it. My Sunset meal Pork chop was excellent!

    We enjoyed dinner last night, the service was great. Our server was fantastic. Food was decent for the price. Appetizers, soups, salads and sides were great. We had the surf and turf. The lobster was over cooked and dried out. The steak was cooked perfect, Just under seasoned a bit for our liking. The strawberry shortcake desert was really good. Would definitely go back. Hoping they can improve the quality of the steak and lobster preparation.

    We enjoy Nevada Steak every time we go. Love the quaint atmosphere and that’s what keeps bringing us back. Always excellent food and service. We have gone to every steakhouse in Reno that includes the casinos and Nevada Steak has it all. Don’t ever change anything about it.

    This was our 2nd visit in a couple of months, to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. Overall the food was good, except for an applesauce dish that accommodated the pork chop we both ordered. Good effort on the side dishes, especially the buttered msshed potatoes. The drink I ordered was too high in price for a "spritzer"($14). Customers who may want a blended drink, as I did, cannot have, as the bar doesn't have a blender (management should fix that issue). Overall, a good evening, and we will return as done in the past.

    Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Nice looking, comfortable restaurant. The food was mediocre to bad. Bolognese pasta was incredibly bland. French onion soup was more like a casserole. Wedge salad ridiculously huge, as was the baked potato. Filet mignon and ribeye steaks, while cooked well, were somewhat dry and tasteless. Steak entrees are $52, which I do not mind paying if the food was better. This is my second attempt at Nevada Steak and my impression is the same of both visits. I thought the $3 bottle of steak sauce, akin to bringing a bottle of A-1 or ketchup to the table, was especially ridiculous. Definitely, a quantity over quality place. Skip it!

    We went to Nevada Steak in the Spring Since then the menu has changed slightly. No more petrale sole, which was my favorite. The gratin potatoes are not as good as they used to be. They also added a veggie tray that comes with your meal. My halibut was very good as was the filet my husband had.

    Although NV Steak is in a casino, it’s become one of our go to “neighborhood” restaurants. The menu is varied and well priced. Service and ambiance always good.

    Everything was very good starting w our Server Kathy she was friendly, prompt very genuine overall. I took my husband for the first time.he wanted to go somewhere else but i assured him he would not regret his decision coming here instead..the food was very good.we were the last ones in the section but not once did we feel rushed to l3ave. It was very good experience this was my husband's first outing w me after loosing his leg and we very much enjoyed it. Thank you Kathy!! And the cooks ofcourse.🙂
