nicks on broadway
Fantastic atmosphere, service, and cuisine. Everything was so fresh, farm to table. Would highly recommend for any occasion.
great flavor and balance incorporating RI's local produce - what a wonderful experience
Incredible tasting menu
We love sitting at the counter and watching the meal prep. Our 14 year old son is becoming a foodie and truly appreciated the experience. Ryan was our waiter and did a great job. Go Bucks!!
By far the best experience I have ever gotten at a restaurant. My fiancé and I came in for dinner after getting engaged earlier that day. There was no wait which was awesome but then we sat down and had the best server known to man. Chrissy was super friendly and made us feel like there was no one else in the restaurant. She never fell short of making our experience memorable. As for the chefs, they were a killer team last night. They always had our food hot and tasting magnificent. They rocked the front line like an orchestra playing a symphony. The food was so delicious and just blew our mind. I want to thank both FOH and BOH for an unforgettable experience!
The excellent food is not matched by the rather odd coffee shop decor. Formica tables and naugahide benches plus not too comfortable chairs. It's not that I need luxury but the arrangement just felt too sparse for the level of the food and prices. You enter via what seems like a nice neighorhood bar and then are escorted to the main dining room with aforementioned coffee shop feeling, perhaps more suitable for bacon and eggs or perhaps a BLT lunch. It's too bad because the food is quite good.
nick's on broadway is a classy establishment for casual diners; smart enough for a nice date, yet relaxed enough for a good laugh. The dining was above average quality farm-to-table fare with knowledgeable staff to help guide the experience. We received suggestions based on our preferences followed by the origins of the ingredients. There was no one disappointing bite from appetizers to dessert.
Absolutely amazing every time!
I just love this restaurant. Everything about it. We live in NYC but eat at Nicks whenever we’re near Providence. Their breakfast is the best anywhere, while this visit was dinner for 4. Lovely starters to share got out tastebuds tingling and then the entrees (pork, Judith blue fish, chicken) were excellent. Charming service staff.
We had the tasting menu. The food was good but the wine pairing was absurd. We were given half glasses of wine that cost $15 each. That's insane. At one point, the person serving the wine brought over a bottle that had less than one glass of wine in it. She attempted to split it evenly but gave us one half glass and one quarter glass. Also, $6 for a 10 oz americano? I've been in the service industry for 10 years and have never been so surprised by a check. No wonder the place was nearly empty on a Saturday night.
