   Since my last trip to Nobu 1.5 years ago, they have added so many more vegetarian and vegan options to their menu! I was pleasantly surprised about their selection and excited to try some new things! The highlight was most definitely their AVOCADO TARTARE WITH VEGAN CAVIAR!!!!!!!! It was one of the top dishes I’ve had this year!!!!! It’s not on the menu, you have to ask your server for it specifically. There was also a tomato based ceviche that was off-menu. . . I recommend their spicy edamame and shishito peppers for appetizers (they’re on the happy hour menu too!). Their crispy rice with spicy avocado (entree) was a little too chewy for the texture. The roasted cauliflower with jalapeño (entree) was a light and refreshing entree, and their crispy baby potatoes aji amarillo (entree) had a nice sauce. Their vegetable sushi was huge. . . For dessert, we had their baked alaska, kuromitsu crisp, and chokoreeto. The baked Alaska pleased the visual senses when it was set on fire; however, the dessert itself tasted too much like alcohol and had no other flavors. I had to scrape the top layer off for it to taste like anything other than alcohol. The other desserts were okay, but nothing spectacular where I will go out of my way to order it again.

   Brunch at Nobu is fantastic. If you have always wanted to try this place, but thought it was too expensive or too fancy then come on a Sunday for brunch. It’s worth it for the price you pay.

   Poor service and they rushed us to pay when we had only been there an hour, will continue going to Nishiki instead.

   Well overpriced for the value of what you’re getting. Food was OK, but the cost and amount on the plate, really not worth it! I waited over a year to go, hearing good things about Nobu, unfortunately was disappointed with the overall outcome. Surely there are many “other” options available in the Houston area worth trying for Asian food - for me, Nobu just didn’t deliver…

   Our food was wonderful, we sat in the bar because we enjoy a good cocktail and wanted to watch part of a game while there. It took 30 minutes for the server to get us our drinks. It was a Friday but they were not busy. I think she forgot to order them and could not remember what we ordered. Another server noticed that we had been going a long time without a drink and came and asked us what we had. He then went to her and told her what the drink was and it came out shortly had she been upfront? Things could’ve been a whole lot smoother.

   Just a brilliant experience overall. Kierdon our server was kind and suggested items from The menu that tasted so good.

    Thank you Nobu for such a wonderful experience, I sat at the sushi bar and had such a wonderful time. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us many great recommendations. Thank you again hope to be back soon!!
