Poor service. Poor food. Poor attitude. Too expensive for what you get.
Pretty good overall. Our waitress was nice but was not stellar considering the atmosphere.
Marvelous from start to finish, from the friendly welcome to presentation of the check. Our waiter made a couple of suggestions as we looked over the menu, full of treats and surprises. We remember NoMi from years ago, when it was a much more formal (but not stuffy) restaurant, and nicer in some ways. But the new version has a contemporary feel that I expect younger customers like, and we did not feel at all out of place. Salmon beignets were lovely, delicately but distinctively flavored. The breast of duck and the Amish chicken could not have been bettered, both dishes coming with attention-getting touches (e.g., the pea puree, the walnut ash). It was hard to settle on a main course, there being so many to choose from. We loved the strawberry-rhubarb esquimaux and affotago, although, again, it was painful to have to choose. But what a nice problem to have. Service at all levels was quiet, unobtrusive, even charming. We left wondering why it had taken us so long to go back. We will make our next trip a lot sooner. The restaurant earns its lofty reputation. Dinner at NoMi is an event.
It was awesome! Our server was the best. So nice
I came with a group of friends for my birthday and loved it! I had the halibut for the main course and it could arguably be the best fish dish I have ever had. The broth/sauce it came with was outstanding. My only complaint was the Gnomi drinks i ordered. I ordered 2 and didn’t even feel
Tipsy. To preface, I drink perhaps once or twice a month and weigh 115 lbs. In other words, two drinks should make me feel tipsy. It was delicious just not strong enough.
Perfect for a date night, special occasion, impressive client outing, or to dazzle your friends who are visiting Chicago. A classic fine dining experience that does not disappoint.
Nice place for brunch.
Awesome service. Breathtaking ambiance. Above average tasting food. Very fun menu. The service from the time you walk in until the time you leave is second to none and really stands out.
Sat outside on terrace. Only 3 sun umbrellas out and it was very sunny/. They still had the heat lamps out and I guess that was the shade! 7 bucks for an ice tea which you had to ask for a refill- we expected way better from a Park Hyatt. No plan to return.
Disappointing! Service was slow. Food wasn’t inspired. Not the restaurant it used to be.
It would have been excellent but no one informed me that the Menu at NoMI garden is different than at the indoor restaurant. Also, the wind was gusting at 15-20 mph which caused the table settings to be falling over.
It was a bit chilly when my wife and I dined. It looked like a little disorganization with orders as I got a burger with a salad when I didn’t order a salad it wasn’t until my wife saw someone with fries with their burger. We told the waiter and he was surprised that I didn’t get my fries. He got me some but we were almost done eating at that point. So like I said it was chilly, so we thought it should have been more heaters. It just didn’t seem right for some people to be comfortable and not all. We still liked the restaurant and probably would return.
Everything was delicious. This may be our new special
Perfect. Food was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Beautiful design and atmosphere. Great view. Just a beautiful experience.
Have a wonderful Anniversary dinner, service was AMAZING! Thank you for such a wonderful special night for us.
The NOMI Kitchen on the 7th floor is elegant with a great view. Overall, the food is very good with varied options. The additional availability of very good Sushi besides the usual dinner appetizer and Entree items makes the place interesting and somewhat unusual. The noise level is generally making easy conversation possible which is a big plus.
Awesome brunch spot in downtown Chicago
Delicious Gracious meal
Excellent meal for my 40th birthday! I love the tomato tart and the artichoke soup!
The food and service was top notch. The atmosphere is lovely too.
Absolutely fabulous evening! We celebrated my husband’s birthday and they made the evening very special. The service was friendly and excellent. The meal was delicious - the halibut would melt in your mouth! The birthday dessert was a light mousse concoction that was a big hit. I can highly recommend the s’mores-ice cream dessert as well. All in all - a wonderful experience!!
Took my daughter here to celebrate her engagement. Can't beat the views over Water Tower and Michigan Avenue.
The location and the garden atmosphere are absolutely wonderful, however we thought the price and what you got for the Nomi sushi platter was a bit pricey, even though we understand we are paying for the atmosphere it was still pricey.
The grilled octopus was overdone.
Nomi is the best place for breakfast in Chicago. Besides the delicious food and impeccable service, the view on a nice day is priceless. Get a table by the window.
Great view and great evening out in Chicago!
The chef’s pick is wonderful
Excellent meal and service. Beautiful view. Unconditionally recommended
The service was not accurate and very slow. We had to wait for a long time; our guests were not served all at the same time. Food was ok and so was the ambience but service is definitely not at an adequate level.
The moment we entered the venue, we were greeted with an amazing attitude. I felt welcomed and comfortable. The food was delicious, the flavor was amazing. I would recommend and return
This is consistently one of the best dining experiences in Chicago. Gorgeous atmosphere, impeccable service and interesting flavors in beautifully presented dishes.
While we enjoyed the food, the level of service was quite indifferent and amateurish.
We were staying at the hotel and expected a somewhat more professional approach to our dinner that evening. I think that the chef deserves more in the front of the house than is being offered at present.
I had a duck entree, and the flavors didnt
NoMI never disappoints. Highly recommend the Chateaubriand- absolutely amazing. If available, the octopus appetizer is worth trying!
It was great place with a great views. Service was impeccable. Food as well, but they should offer little bred or smth when u sit at the table. Little overpriced for what it is
Amazing experience! Fantastic food and service. Plan on going back.
Service was outstanding
Great view of city
Joe was a great waiter and the food and wine outstanding .
I was expecting sushi and an elegant over the top meal, and the sushi chef ‘didn’t come in to work today’. Was what i experienced. My food was good, but overall letdown and lack of choices was pretty underwhelming. Looked and felt like a hotel restaurant rather than a high end restaurant within a hotel.
