Noosh is a fantastic restaurant experience if you are looking for great ambiance and food- albeit in small portions. The service left a little to be desired but did not ruin the experience.
Amazing espresso martinis !!!!
Their flatbreads are amazing!!!! The salads and kabobs were incredibly flavorful and really bright and fresh.
This is the second time I’ve gone and the service is terrible. You get the feeling that you as the customer should be grateful for being in their presence and don’t dare ask for any accommodations as they are too good to actually treat you well. Such a shame. Will never go again.
Everything was good expect the food.
Delicious food! Fast service, nice outdoor patio. The kebabs are amazing
Unfortunately all of the negative reviews about this place are correct.
Bad service from the beginning of the night. We reserved an indoor table for 2 and they put us at a table for 4 in the back room next to a storage space/dirty looking kitchen. When we asked to move to a more central, smaller table for 2 they said we should have specified where we wanted to sit when making the reservation despite any indication of needing to do that on Open Door. The table we hoped to move to remained empty throughout our meal.
We asked to start with an appetizer, but they brought all the food we ordered out at once which resulted in 4 plates of food on the table. It’s nice that the food came quickly, though it was a ton at once and made our meal feel rushed by staff.
Throughout the meal different servers hovered over us without saying anything, they just walked around us closely and stared. It made the experience uncomfortable and again, rushed.
The food tasted fine but the service, sitting next to a storage room with fruit flies, and feeling like they wanted to turn tables quickly made the overall experience a 1/10.
Great outdoor seating, loved the taste of flatbreads- tasty and crunchy bread.
Noosh always seems to be struggling with an identity crisis. Although the new management seems much friendlier, the falafel are tiny now (sad for us vegetarians) and flat, which makes them dry. Still no pita back on the menu...this was a highlight for our family during the warm months when picnics on the beach were a reality. Flatbreads conceptually work but in reality, the low-quality halloumi reads like store-bought mozzarella shreds. Couldn't find an eggplant dish, bummer. Still, willing to go back and try again, if only because the new management seems friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic.
The food is too salty and acidic. Just not a satisfying meal.
We were asked about our reservation a couple times after seated which was a little odd. The servers were great and very friendly!
The wait staff seemed overwhelmed. Our drinks took a very very long time. We had 3 different servers at one point…
Noosh has delicious food and really great outdoor seating section! It continued to be a favorite on Fillmore Street.
The food was tasty and well priced. The service was well meaning but inattentive. The waiter forgot to give us menus. We asked for milk and sugar for our coffee and the waiter forgot to bring it to us.
I made a reservation, which I think you need to do. Not sure if they allow drop-ins? Service was great. They have options to sit indoors or outdoors. They’re outdoor set-up is great however it can be loud with the bus driving by every now and then. We just ordered the a la carte items:
🍤 Prawn skewers: It’s only 1 medium shrimp on a skewer. It looks big because it’s stretched out on the skewer w/the head still on, which makes it look like a huge prawn. It didn’t have much flavor but if you spread some of the tartar sauce that comes with it. It’s good.
🍄 Mushroom skewer: I thought this was good. Not sure what kind of mushroom it was, but it was tasty. Wasn’t too dry. Just right
Falafel: These were about half dollar size and came with 7 (I think). It was a little too crusty. I tried slicing one in half and it flew onto the table; but if you use the tahini sauce that went with it, it sauced it up to my liking.
Squash: This was good. I think pistachios sprinkled on top? Was marinated pretty well.
Also, I had the Noosh Mule and was good enough that I would’ve ordered another but I’m a light weight and that would’ve put me over the edge.
Overall, I thought the food was more 3-3.5 for the price. The ambiance and service was a 5. So my overall review was a 4.
Although I booked a reservation through Opentable weeks in advance, and called and texted to confirm the day before, they did not have our reservation on file when we arrived. It took them some time to seat us (even though there was a ton of open seating), and they were not apologetic. After being seated, they only provided our party of 4 with 1 menu, and no QR code for us to scan to look at digital menus on our phones. They also did not deliver our correct drink order after ordering, nor offered any consolation when we identified the mistake. The menu was small, and the food was mediocre. Would not recommend.
Will not be returning. We did not receive our prepaid wine flights, and then could not get an immediate refund of our money. They acted like we might not get it. It was the number one disappointment of the meal, and seemed very strange since there were so many employees roaming around and so few occupied tables. There seemed to be 2 employees for every occupied table. But we still could not get service. Our meal was prepaid and so were the wine flights, the menu was also fixed. This added up to almost $200. However the kitchen did not seem to be able to get our food out. They made a big deal about us being required to leave our table after 90 minutes-no hanging out after eating. But it took us almost 2 hours to get out of there. The service was so slow I felt antsy and just wanted to leave without getting all our food. One last strange thing, they gave us a menu with other food to add to our fixed menu but never took our order. This place is operating like money does not have anything to do with how they survive. This place to too expensive and the food and service does not stack up to the prices.
My wife and I frequently eat out, but have never experienced service that was as aloof and condescending as our experience last night at Noosh. Although the restaurant was three-quarters empty, we kept getting looks of "are you all done here?", including one person playing the overseer role actually saying that. Finally, the bill came with a 20% tip already included--no option. We left feeling humiliated.
They kind of kicked us out right at 7:30 when they closed which was annoying. Also took forever to get a server and when asked if they could slice up a cucumber for my gluten free friend for the dips they refused (I know they have cucumbers in the restaurant as they are literally on the menu??)
The tables were too low and wobbling, the seats were very uncomfortable for our backs. We were slouching for the entire dinner. The menu used to be so much better before Covid. The food wasn’t anything special. And even though the Covid restrictions have been lifted for the most part, we were being rushed out the door in 90 minutes. None of the other restaurants are applying the 90 minute restriction any more.
The staff was inexperienced and quite rude. I will not be returning to Noosh any time soon.
Great food. Best to share plates so you can try the many delicious items they have. Excellent option for vegetarians.
Really good food, sub par service.
For the price the food on the plate was very little
I like Noosh a lot, but felt service was a bit unresponsive at first, but then improved during our time in the restaurant.
I just love this place. The food is good, and I always think the bill is a value. I have to eat gluten free, and there are enough items on the menu for me.
Our drinks took 25 minutes to arrive. Then before we could enjoy our first sip we were told it was last call for food and drinks. If you close the kitchen earlier than you close the restaurant (1) don’t (2) let people know that when they book a reservation
We were hoping they might be able to put a candle on my mother’s birthday dessert but they didn’t manage to do that, even with a note in the reservation and a reminder after we ordered our dessert. They also rushed us out when they were closing at 8 pm, which felt very early for a Fillmore Street restaurant.
The food was just okay, the service was not very good. After we were served we didn't see the waiter for ay least 30 min. We would have liked a water refill and maybe dessert but were never asked. I'm not a fan of the tip being automatically added to the bill for this reason.
Noosh was good! We ate outside, which even in the grey windy weather, we were all very warm thanks to the heaters. Food was ok - the best was the appetizer spread. Entrees across the board were just okay. Great little neighborhood spot, but if I'm craving something tasty I may hit somewhere else.
Food was really good but service was poor. Built in tip is likely the reason the servers don’t try hard and put in very minimal effort.
This was our second time at Noosh and loved it. Great food, great atmosphere and service. Thank you team Noosh !!
Food was great. The Bloody Mary was delicious and spicy. Great time in a nice warm space
Great place for casual food. We loved the flatbread (veggie) & falafels. Yum!!! Simple & well done! It felt safe there as well....plenty of space & air circulating.
Good place but I think waitstaff is new. Kabobs a little overdone. I would go back again because on the whole I like the menu and atmosphere
Tasting menu was wonderful! Every dish was delicious, unique, and thoughtfully curated.
Food was delivered all at once, waiter was not attentive
Very good food - a little pricey but the location and service is excellent!
The flatbread and dip trio is amazing. Falafel was crunch, herby, and delicious.
Rushed out of restaurant - manager even cancelled our second round of drinks with half of the restaurant empty. Waiter cleared tables without even asking if we were done.
