There were 4 of us and we sat next to the piano player (by our request) so we had a nice musical backdrop to the evening. The food was delicious, the waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, and the sommelier recommended a bottle of wine that paired perfectly with our dinners. We were very curious about the vegan carrot entree so we shared it for an appetizer and it was great! The butterscotch pudding for dessert was delectable - just right for the end of our meal.
Really enjoyable atmosphere and the food is excellent. Couldn’t resist the potato latkes.
Very good menu made it difficult to choose but we were happy sharing chickpea fries, latkes and Reuben!

Was very attended to on a Tuesday evening. Helpful server and overall good food. Salads were fresh main dishes to order.
Exceptional service. We had the salmon and the pork loin wrapped in bacon outstanding. Who are the Toffie cake desert it was a to die for.
I was treating a friend to lunch for her birthday, and the experience was wonderful. All of the staff were extremely professional and attentive; our main server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wines, her recommendations were spot on. :) The Halibut was perfectly cooked and served on a delicious blend of red quinoa and corn. The tomato and Burrata salad was fantastic, enough to share, and I highly recommend getting some bread to go along with this. Their warm rolls go so well, especially when resting in the salad’s mix of pesto and olive oil before taking a bite. ;) It was such a pleasure to be back to One Market, they’ve not lost their touch. I look forward to my next experience there.

Before COVID, this was one of our favorite places. We were worried too much had changed and it wouldn't be as good. Well, we were gladly wrong! Still the same! The Pork tenderloin was still as tender and delicious as always and the halibut fresh with a nice light sauce. I love a restaurant that you can actually have a conversation without cupping your ear to hear across the table. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We can't wait to go back!
The waiter did not make us feel welcome or seemingly interested in making our meal a pleasant occasion. The hostess and people serving us, clearing the tables and refilling our water glasses were all exceptional.
The food was not as good as I had remember from pre-covid times.
I had not been to One Market since pre-covid and it was outstanding. The food was terrific! I ordered the Halibut and it was one of the best tasting dishes I've had fo this fish in a long time! And the beet salad was light and refreshing. And the service, a French woman, might have been the best server I have ever had as well. I will be going back for both the excellent food, ambiance and service. You do need to wear a mask when you arrive, which is odd, but they supplied them at the door.
Food and service is great. Happy hour is fun and has a great menu.
Our first indoor dining since Covid. We felt very comfortable as the space is large & tables are not too close together. The food as always was excellent. I had the Prime Rib dinner the price is now $49 & you no longer get the wedge salad but it was perfectly cooked & delicious. We also always love speaking with Tonya about wines. She will steer you to the perfect selection. It was great to be back. Thanks One Market!
Cesar salad was outstanding. Avocado toast, pastrami Ruben sandwich and almond chocolate cake were all very good.

So nice to be back after almost 1.5 years, always a treat and so glad to return. The food is wonderful as usual and the service perfect. We had avocado toast with smoked salmon, then halibut and quinoa, lattkes with more smoked salmon and a delicious bottle of white wine. Nigh on to perfect!
It was a very special birthday lunch that the entire restaurant made all the more special.
It was nice to be back to One Market for the first time since the pandemic. Service and hospitality was excellent as it has always been. The prime rib was amazing! Great selection fo Northern California wines.
This was the last place we ate before the March 2020 shutdown and our first indoor dining experience so nice places reopened. That says it all! They haven't missed a beat.
Billy Philadelphia is wonderful entertainment during dinner!
Billy Philadelphia was playing the piano while we were eating. what a joy. he knew every song. Jeff was our waiter and although way overworked he provided triple A performance. the food was outstanding and we will come back. oh yeah the wine was the best red I have had in years
My halibut was cooked to perfection! The husband had the pork roast and according to my dad and he it was delicious. My dad ordered the fried chicken and he said it was crispy, juicy and seasoned just the way he liked it. We had a waiter who was very attentive and helpful.
A great experience all around
Really loved having a meal inside at this iconic SF restaurant. It has been quite some time since we ate there. The menu could use just a tad bit more options, definitely a steak other than just prime rib and they should have bread service. I also think it takes away from the vibe to have sandwiches on the dinner menu. Maybe just serve the brisket as a dish?
Having said that, really loved our bartender in the lounge while we waited for our table. Great cocktails...who doesn't love a greyhound with FRESH squeezed grapefruit juice! I also loved our sommelier Tonya...she was great as was our server, Jeff. We had the gamut of apps, sides, salads, fried chicken, halibut, osso buco, prime rib and dessert! All was good...not out of this world...definitely good! Shout out to their Wine List. That and a little guidance from Tonya and you'll be well taken care of.
I would definitely go again but I hope their menu evolves into something aligned with the grandeur of the space (and the cocktails!). I almost forgot...live piano music...LOVED THAT!
Great place to meet friends. Waiter was very accommodating. Food was delicious.
Second visit to One Market in less than a month -- yes, it is that good. We were welcomed in a warm and professional manner, and seated immediately even though we arrived 15 minutes before our reservation. Our server was generally prompt and attentive, arranging for water to be served almost immediately after we were seated and sharing with us the evening's specials. He allowed enough time for us to review the menu before returning to take drink orders and then again to order our dinners. The food was excellent, as always. One stand-out starter was the clam chowder, which was brightly seasoned and served in a flavorful, silky (not paste-like) broth. The halibut was fresh and flavorful; if available, it's a main dish worth considering. And, of course, the view of the Bay and Bay Bridge add a lovely touch to the evening, even for city-dwellers like us.
Wonderful food, nice jazz piano background, and Tonya is a very engaging and super-knowledgeable Sommelier -- terrific wine pairings!

As we are not big eaters, We stuck to the starters, all of which were excellent, especially the deviled eggs a d the beet salad. The latkes were outstanding, best I have ever had The margaritas were delicious as well.
What we especially enjoyed was listening to the grand piano played by Billy Philadelphia. A true maestro! Made for a great first night out after more than a year of home cooking or takeout. We enthusiastically recommend the restaurant.

There was an OssoBucco special, over Jalapeño Grits.. Excellent and good portion. The Halibut served over bean and corn.. excellent..The Butterscotch Pudding was not as good as the one at Original Joe's.. but it was decent. No bread was served at the table, and we would have liked some.
The food was quite good, though nothing special by SF standards. It was quite cool inside, so I needed to keep my coat on. In most cities this would be a very nice restaurant, but there are many better places in SF for the price.
Food was very good. I had prime rib - done just as I requested. A generous pour for guest cocktail. Attentive but not hovering service. I look forward to returning.
The prime rib was decadent, the fried chicken was finger-licking-good (beyond KFC could ever be). The service was great. They had live pianist performing. The portions were absolutely generous! I highly recommend this restaurant. A perfect combination of delicate and exquisite food together with hearty, generous portions.
Still the same beautiful, warm decor and great service. The menu is shortened due to fewer kitchen staff, but there is a varied selection. The food is not as good as I remember, but it might just need some refining. The weekend piano is wonderful.

The food sadly was bad. Sorry but COVID must have hit them hard . Not sure how they are going to survive
