Opa! Santa Clara
We went for Brunch. No where does it say they are not serving brunch right now but that is what happened. We ended up just having coffee and leaving because it was too early to have lunch. Wish they would have indicated as such. Our server was very apologetic and comped our coffee so I have to give props to him!
food was outstanding especially with my lactose intolerance restriction; the chef that delivered our meals was ready to confirm my questions that my Mediterranean salad had no dairy from cows. It was excellent. Our large party was very happy with their choices. Our waiter was nearby to answer questions, provide water, helped out with photos for our departing friend. Love the location in Santa Clara as it is not as loud as the other locations. I always pick this location for the food, service and relaxation.
Great food, great drinks, great service, great location. I will definitely be back!
Nice outdoor venue for dining during COVID. Food and service continues to be consistently good.
Everything was clean and amazing! Was so nice to get out and enjoy a niece meal!
Opa is one of our favorites. The food is excellent, and the drinks are great. Even with the social distancing in place it was a pleasant experience. Definitely will return soon.
We were just thrilled to be able to sit outside and dine after many months of quarantine. The weather was beautiful and the seating area is covered. The staff was wearing gloves & masks. Service was good, though could have been a little faster, given there weren't many patrons. You have to try their Dips/Spreads sampler. Try them all because it is only $2 more than if you pick any 3. Their warm pita bread is the best I have had. Food was great with the exception of Vegetarian Pita, where we felt the tzatziki sauce was a bit overpowering. Overall, a great experience.
Great!! Loved getting to eat outdoors.
I’m so glad Opa! Is open for outdoor dining. The waiting staff were wonderful, attentive and professional. Thank you and I look forward to coming back soon.
Food and service was great. Outdoor seating was comfortable
I want to love Opa! But to be honest, their food is okay :( I have tried the one in Morgan Hill and the one on Santa Clara, the ambience in Santa Clara is so nice, we sat at the bar and the service was great! The pita and all the dips are wonderful… And we had the spanakopita. That was great!
Great ethnic food and good variety. Parking is iffy so plan well.
Just average food. Limp and cold French fries. Kinda disappointing.
We loved it and look forward to coming back! Loved the flaming cheese!
Too loud!!! You can’t have a business meeting here or a good conversation. It’s in one big room and has no noise muffling. It’s too loud. Waiter was really late and service took too long. This is my last business lunch here.
We sat outside, the food was great, our server was fantastic.
Been there several times. The last time, even they called me earlier to confirm my needs, they wod not honor my booth request even though booths were empty so they could save for a larger group (that did not show up).
Service was so so. For was dry and portions have really shrank.
Didn’t meet expectations.
The noise was so loud that we could not carry on a conversation without talking so loud that it was uncomfortable. The seating was anything but comfortable. We were within inches of the people sitting next to us.It was like eating in a cafeteria.
The food was amazing!! It was Valentine’s Day and everything was wonderful!!
The two top tables are so close together it is impossible to have a quiet conversation or not to feel like you haven't joined the table next to you for dinner. The service was outstanding from a food server standpoint, but the host was borderline rude. The food wasn't good enough to warrant going back and dealing with joining strangers for dinner. Super disappointed.
Great Food, nice service staff.
Nice Restaurant. Nice Area. First visit. Service was really good, Food for me was average to good. Would return.
Was good. Parking in the complex was really bad Friday night though- nearly had to leave due to lack of parking.
I made a reservation for 12:30 pm my guests was on time, it took a while for me to find parking. All that said; I was 4 minutes late. We were told our table was given away, wiat 4 minutes late and my table is GONE! We were sent to the bar waiting~waiting~waiting no one attending to us. I had to go ask the maitre d multiple times about our table, we finally had a table out side available for us. Where again we sat waiting for someone to attend to us. The table across from was experiencing the same treatment this quickly became a joke between our two tables. We ask employees several times to order with no luck. Until Tyler came to our rescue, we were not in his section but he took us on and we greatly appreciated.
We had a group lunch here and it was very disappointing. We had to send the food back multiple times because it was cold. The items were all scrabbled and none of our items came out right. The noise level was so high, we were all screaming to talk. The waiters were really rude and did not want to check up on us from time to time. They forget countless items to bring to our table and I was so disappointed with this place. They need to re-train their staff and also the staff in the kitchen to make sure things are coming out hot and not cold.
Nice place with good food and service. The shaved gyro meat is fantastic, on any dish! Parking sucks
Delicious food great service been here a couple times.
Wait time was 45 mins before we received our lunch, and the chicken skewers were dry, but tasty. It appears more cooks are needed for the crowd size / lunch service.
Excellent service and incredible food and value! Really enjoyed my meal and drinks!
Really good food and an enjoyable atmosphere. I was there with a group of ladies who all enjoyed some nice wine and a great meal. They have something flavorful for everyone-- meat eaters, vegetarians, low carbers, etc... The only downside, not the fault of Opa, is parking in that area stinks.... but, be patient, drive around until a spot becomes available. The meal will be worth it.
Great dinner with the boss and team.
My salad had way too much dressing and tasted a bit salty. I didn’t finish because I just couldn’t take it anymore. But our waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was well decorated with a pretty outdoor seating area.
Too noisy. Sit behind a large loud group that was so near to our table. You can listen to the conversation on the other table right next to our table. TAbles are too close to each other. Me and my husband could not make conversation the whole time we dined as it was too noisy, loud, and tables too close to each other. Food is good but got ruined because of too much noise.
Bottom Line: We won't go back because the place is way too noisy. Visually, great but acoustically, terrible. Impossible to carry on a conversation. Food and service were both pretty good.
I would recommend Opa to my friends who live in SV area.
Don't go there if you are having a business lunch. It's so noisy that we couldn't hear each other from across the table.
The fried saganaki needs to cut the cheese thinner as it was still cold and hard in the middle.
There was raw seafood on my frito misto.
Really nice option for Sunday Brunch. Lots of options for everyone to find something they want. Great eggs bendicts and hash & eggs with Greek twist. Avgolemono soup was perfect and the french toast was amazing. Will definitely go back.
