Opa! - Willow Glen
Wonderful service, delicious food! Will definitely visit again.
Very popular restaurant. Dining early was a good thing as restaurant tables full by meal’s end. Great selection of Meze - zucchini chips were tasty. Moussaka was very good but I was hoping for more lamb in the meat sauce. Salmon with vegetables was cooked perfectly. No room for dessert as portions more than filling.
Service excellent and friendly.
We indicated on Open Table that it was my husband’s birthday and the occasion was not even acknowledged. Also the host didn’t want to give my kids an extra set of crayons when there was two children. I had to complain about this. The service was also slow for not being that busy at the time.
The atmosphere is good - very casual, not too noisy. Food was great and there is a good variety of things on the menu. The place fills up, so make a reservation!
Poor and very slow service detracted from good food
The server was rude and rushed us. We said we wanted to enjoy our appetizer before we ordered, she got snippy and irritated. She also forgot one of our drinks and claimed that we never ordered it!! She did get that to us pretty fast though. When we were ready to order she told us to wait a minute in a very rude tone. We got up and left. The assistant asked why we were leaving? He stated that this wasn’t the first time people left. The most surprising part is we found out that she’s the manager!!!
Worst service at any restaurant in many years. 30 mins passed with nobody checking in. Waitress came by and gave impersonal, terse apology for the delay and promised to fast track the drink order — two glasses of wine. 15 mins pass and nothing. It wasn’t even busy. She then comes and says one of the wines is out. Food comes much later. We ask for a little extra thing of tzatsiki. It was a small a tiny dollop — and we got charged for it. Won’t return. An exceptionally bad experience from beginning to end.
Oh, and it was Valentine’s Day and we were trying something new in the neighborhood. Won’t do that again.
Opa offers great food at a great value. Free feta fries when you check-in on Yelp. Best deal is the filet mignon skewers plate.
Great food as usual. Service was exceptional! But very noisy due to a loud group of people.
They switched servers early on, the poor second server, it was her first day. There was one mistake after another, it was a bummer, we came to celebrate a 2 birthdays. Won't be back.
Food was great (flaming cheese is always fun and yummy - perfect appetizer) Drinks were good as was our entry. Service friendly and professional.
Terrible. I booked this for New Years Eve and will never return. This was a particularly special dinner because it was the 30th anniversary of dating my husband and it was supposed to be special. Anything but. I don’t know why they would ever let us book an 8:30 reservation if they were closing at 9. We arrived early at 8:20 and were being rushed to order and eave as soon as we arrived. We ordered appetizers and martinis, were never even asked if we wanted an entree and were asked if we wanted dessert because the kitchen was closing In five minutes. The bar closed at 8:45, well before closing. We did say we wanted dessert and they really wanted us to take it to go. At this point, I told them we would eat it there just to make them stay. I am so intensely mad at this place that I will never dine at this Opa or any other again.
Good food at a reasonable price.
We had a team reunion at Opa! Opa! is a great place for larger groups to have a nice, uncrowded table and a pleasant atmosphere. I would give higher ratings, but the service and food delivery were "challenging" during our dinner. One order was messed up and was delivered late - long after other diners received their meals. To be fair, the staff & management tried to make amends with some extra drinks but this "colored" the evening. Also, I note that prices have gone up. Entree prices are now on par with much more pricey restaurants in the area making Opa! less competitive given their menu - other places in WG are now a better value.
Always excellent food and service.
Our server, Cindie took excellent care of our party of 11 guests.
The food was delicious and service great! We will definitely be going back. We miss the OPA in Los Gatos so much, but now have The Willow Glen Opa to enjoy :)
Overall the lunch we had was not enjoyable. Food was average and the noise level was terrible.
We had a very inexperienced server which made our experience les than stellar. Very understaffed for a Saturday night.
We really enjoyed the food, but there was A LOT (too much) of garlic in the dishes we ordered.
The Good :)
Food was good, it was Greek
Great portions of food
Salads were fresh and Fantastic!
One had wine it was very good.
The Bad :(
Service eh slow but steady - Sometimes forgetful
There was hair on two different plates, one in the roasted potatoes. But not sure if ours or theirs?
Lastly wasn’t offered dessert.
We enjoyed the restaurant and the food. Nothing stood out as “we have to come back” Left with doggie bags
Great, flavorful food & good value.
Food was amazing
Parents anniversary which was not recognized by Opa staff
Fantastic as always!
Our annual Back to School dinner. This was our 4th year coming the night before school starts.
Everyone had a great time!
Got charged $2.99 for "french press coffee". What I got was one cold cup of coffee. No refills. Then there is the "living wage charge" added to each check. This is a way to increase the wages (which they should), but without increasing the cost of the food, they will just add a surcharge so the customer won't mind as much. Somehow that is the right way to handle this issue. The food was average, but took a long time to be prepared and served. Once the food arrived, nobody ever checked back until the check was presented.
I like that it’s a larger place. I like the ambiance. It’s a great place for food, friends and family. It’s in a great place!
food was good but, service was awful. not attentive staff on a very slow night
Daughter in town
I think it would be nice if for birthdays a complimentary scoop of ice cream or something similar with a candle be provided.
Good food - we arrived in time for bargain drinks and appetizers which was nice.
I might recommend because of the delicious food & the good service, BUT the music was way too loud to enjoy conversation with my family. Please consider turning it down to a more background level. Not the headliner.
Thank you! 😁
Good food ok service.
Table all set was awaiting our arrival. Service was prompt and efficient and food was great!!
We love Opa but this particular night was way off. We were seated and waiting for another member to arrive. It took a long time to get the attention of the waiter after being served waters. We had so much time to decide on our choices we ordered the drinks, apps, and meals all at once. The meals came first, then the apps, and then the drinks. It was at 6 pm on a weeknight, not especially crowded. The "flaming cheese" app was a huge disappointment as the lighter to ignite the dish did not work. I quick flame and all the liquid did not even burn off the cheese dish. We were there to celebrate a high school graduation and we left feeling disappointed by the dining experience.
We appreciated the quick service and the waiter was attentive and friendly
Overall, good experience! Food was delicious and the service was very good. Waitress and help were very attentive. Only comment was that after we placed our order, it took over 30 min for the food to arrive. Longer than expected but the brunch was delicious.
Service was good we asked for calamari extra crispy and they burnt it but they made a new one
Four ladies had a delightful visit together at Opas. The menu had enough choices to satisfy all of our tastes. The lemon soup was great. The server was very polite and had a nice sense of humor. For short folks, the booths are a bit low and ai felt like a child in a high chair. We were not rushed in any way, but we were there for Monday lunch.
