Oriental Tea House - Little Collins
Fancy version of Yum cha. The ambiance was nice, but when I saw the first thing they serve is stir-fry vegetable, I knew something was wrong. The food is not bad, just not yum cha. Wouldn't recommend if you want to have proper dim sum.
Wonderful range of dumplings to suit all palates and pockets
Warm inviting interior, friendly welcoming customer service but most of all freshly cooked delicious food priced reasonably.
Delicious food, and they take their tea seriously!
Second visit in a week and just as superb a great find
A nice place to dine in for dinner. I enjoyed the dumplings and dessert!
Fabulous food will definitely return, efficient service and lovely atmosphere
Love the vibe and food absolutely delicious!!
Outstanding choice of both dim sum and traditional Chinese dishes.
We all throughly enjoyed our lunch time Yum Cha. The music was great the service was great the food was delicious, best Yum Cha I have had in Melbourne, and the tea was divine and delicate. Thanks so much.
Absolutely beautiful dumplings and tea, excellent service. Not auper-traditional yum cha, if that is what you are after.
So happy with our choice for mother’s day lunch. Great selection of yum cha, really friendly relaxed service.
We will definitely return !
What an amazing place to eat! The food was amazing - the most beautiful dumplings! We had the Feasting for 2 and were delighted with the most amazing food and service! All of the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definately be back!!
Beautiful food and slick service :) everything about our dinner and service was choice!
Loved the unique take on dumplings, not just the standard fare.
Fantastic food and service. Thank you!!
Amazing food, fabulous service and a fantastic atmosphere.
Superb! Would absolutely go again in a heartbeat! Thank you!
Excellent yum cha, delicious variety of foods on offer. Polite wait staff and prompt service. A touch on the pricey side but well worth it!
Absolutely delightful dining experience - fresh food, superbly prepared.
Need to get Sapporo cans back.
Best Dumpos in town
Very nice food and great service. Its in an easy location close to the shopping hub and the sporting venues.
Absolutely delicious!!! Could not recommend more! Our only issue was that some of the food took a while to come out, which was odd for a Monday night. But otherwise simply outstanding!!!
Food is good but a bit on the pricey side.
Great food, service and overall experience. Will definitely come back!
Best lunch time yumcha outside of Chinatown - always my go to place
Went for Yum Char again. Good selection of dumplings as usual. What was memorable this time was the service. Even though the a la carte is not offered during Yum Char the lovely young man who waited on us managed to organise some fried rice for my friend who was unwell and only wanted the rice. Kudos for customer focused service.
I think you need to add more gluten free meat options to your menus, not everyone will settle for just veggie based meals.
Three small dumplings for $10 isnt value for money either. Go at least 5.
Table of 15 people beside us was quite loud, i wouldve preferred not to have them directly beside my hearing aids.
Service was impeccable, food was tasty.
I know there are many places one can go for a good chinese meal but I really enjoy the quality of the food here and it has a nice atmosphere. The service is good and the food is delicious.
Brilliant food great for sharing
I wanted to eat yumcha, but i couldn’t eat. When I checked the website, there’s any mention about it finish at 1:30pm. That’s why I booked the table at1:30pm. So when i arrived there, i couldn’t order yumcha. I just ordred 2dumpling dish and 1 share dish. I think dumpling is over priced, however share dish( beef menu) was taste good. If there’s any notice about yumcha trading hour on the website, i would more enjoy my lunch.
Wonderful service: we had arrived before opening, it was very hot outside and we were invited to come inside even though they weren’t quite ready. We were made welcome and offered drinks.
Food was delicious, wonderful menu selection, especially the very creative types of dumplings eg angus beef, satay etc. Highly recommend and will be going again soon.
We had the $43 feast, excellent value. Had an incredible amount of food!
Great spot for yum cha and dim sum. Food was great. As was the attentive service. Highly recommend a visit.
Great food, excellent and friendly service, very polite and lovely staff!
Good food, yum cha was fairly limited in offering. Overall a good place, service was a tad slow.
A great little find tucked into the back streets of the CBD. A little noisy sitting outside, but then it was lunchtime , on a weekday, in the city. Food was awesome, you have to try an assortment of dumplings! Good wines. Will be back, afterall, I haven't tried all the dumplings yet.
Very pleasant environment food was great though slightly overpriced
Love the yum cha service. Always a great feed and plenty of choices.
Food was quite yum, I have been before for the yum cha service and then for a la carte service on a Sunday. Food as I said was delicious and portion sizing was perfect for the 4 of us. However, service was very slow. There was hardly a waiter in sight when we needed to reorder or ask questions. When we asked for chilli oil, the waiter looked at us and said ‘ugh, it’s the same’. But they had just given us oil initially. We all thought that was quite rude. We have normally asked for chilli oil at all other Asian restaurants where we are given the same thing. But if oriental spoon refer to it as something else then they should’ve checked to see that their diners are on the same page as them. I would recommend the yum cha service. But maybe don’t go on a Sunday around 1pm if you want proper customer service.
