Grilled octopus, kabocha squash puree, aurugula salad, lemon aioli
calasparra rice, maine lobster, clams, shrimp, english peas, sweet peppers, lima beans
calasparra rice, roasted duck, duck confit, wild mushrooms, green peas, shishito peppers, lima beans
Would not recommend for dinner. The chicken paella had an odd flavor. The octopus and patatas bravas were ok. The Serrano ham was served with some kind of ice cream on top. Much better tapas options in DC - with better value for your money.
Passable tapas in a great environment for a casual party.
Great brunch and fast service!
Great brunch spot with quick service and perfect mimosas. Celebrated birthdays and they made it feel special.
Our group (2 couples) really enjoyed ourselves. We arrived just after a short shower and sat outside on recently dried tables. There was welcome cool breeze (for July) and the area was shaded.
We had decided to have unlimited small plates ($38/pp) and it was a good decision. The hostess and assistant quickly delivered our orders and brought more in several subsequent rounds. Every dish we tried was good -- you must have the truffle-oil mac and cheese, it may not be traditional but was very good. Octopus, shrimp, mussels -- all were fresh and nicely seasoned. All the croquettes were excellent. Wednesday is their half off pricing for Sangria -- a nice surprise.
They only permit 90 minutes for seating and we were a few minutes over it but no one made us feel rushed.
Great wait staff. Food cam out quickly and hot despite how packed it was.
Wonderful brunch! Food was excellent
They don't seem too fond of kids. No changing tables in the restrooms and staff seem to be annoyed by children. Otherwise, food and wait staff are great.
We went for Sunday brunch and were the only customers at 10; it was still largely empty 45 minutes later. I love the opportunity to try several different dishes without eating so much that I explode. Let's hear it for "small plates" (tapas). The mixed fruit was worth $1 rather than the $5 it cost, but everything else was both delicious and priceworthy. We'll be back.
Some food items were decent, but really pretty average food, and very subpar on the seafood. Gambas is one of my favorite Spanish dishes and this was not good. Croquettas were ok, and non-meat dishes a little better. Pan con tomate was basically bruschetta.
Food was decent but not as good as Jaleo. Prices were reasonable. Service? Not good. (Had to wander restaurant looking for a water refill.) Not likely to return.
The food was incredible, love the atmosphere, we’d definitely come back to try more because the menu was amazing!
Great place for drinks and food. I loved the Pamplona 75! Just one comment… better without the straw.
My only issue was the 30% gratuity that we were hit with because we were a party of 5. Seemed excessive!
Thank you so much for making my parents anniversary such a special night !
great food and service- was looking for a new tapas place!
Limited brunch menu.
Average food quality.
No Spanish flavors.
Food was amazing. Our server took great care of us. Will definitely return!
Their seafood tower was fantastic ! Will be back. Best deal we have seen in a long time
Great place for Tapas. Authentic spanish food. It's our go to place for tapas. Nice location in Arlington.
My family and I went here yesterday June 06, 2021. We did the "bottomless brunch" option. The food was okay, some options definitely better than others. But what really killed the vibe was how long it took for the waiter to come to check on us. Because it's a bottomless option, you only order a few items at a time and then continue to order more. Our waiter would only come outside to see us every 20-25 mins, so it made it really hard to be able to order and be satisfied. I think the overall experience would have been better if the service was a bit quicker.
*Please note that even certain food and drink items would not come out until we ask about them after 20 mins. And then waiting at the end (when we were all over the service) for the check, took over 20 mins, once again.
Went to Pamplona for an easy Meet up. The place had great reviews so thought we would give it a try! We got there early and sat at the bar, and had four drinks. Got our bill and it was almost $200! After we inquired why, we were told that the Macallan that we ordered was $41 each. Now, I suppose we should’ve asked prior to since it was not on the menu, but because we’ve had it before and other places much nicer than Pamplona we didn’t expect for it to cost way more than it would have at say, the four seasons which is a much more upscale establishment (where this is around $25). The bartender while nice was not very attentive, and did not think to mention it to us before we ordered the first or second round. I asked to speak with a manager after we payed the bill and were seated at our table for our actual meal, and she did her best and comped two of the appetizers we ordered. I thought the manager did her best to appease the customer and I sincerely appreciate that. But as a customer, to the owner or general manager or whoever may read this, you need to train your staff a little bit better. Not only did we have that mishap, but after we paid at the bar the credit card was declined because there were two $1 charges charged to the card prior to our $200 bill which caused the credit card company to call and let us know they though it was stolen. Then after we finished our meal at the table and paid, the waitress almost charged me for another tables bill which was $250 plus. Had I not looked at what she was charging me I would’ve been charged that, when our bill was less than that.
Overall I would say mediocre service, overpriced food and drinks, and not as authentic as it should be for such prices. I will never return, and unless you’re a 20 something in college hanging out with your friends looking to overspend, I suggest that you don’t go either - there are many other BETTER establishments to choose from.
Haven't been to Pamplona in over a year. Good to be back and enjoy the bottomless brunch and mimosas. However, a bit disappointed with the changed menu. It was my mothers Birthday and she requested Pamplona to celebrate brunch so she can get the Grilled Octopus. Too bad her favorite is no longer on the brunch menu. We asked if can order it ala carte but the server said No since they can only cook it during dinner service.
Only bummer was the limit on time we were allowed. Otherwise great!
Great service and food. Beware that some outside seats are in direct sun though so plan ahead for that.
Food was ok- We came here because it had 4 stars but I guess for D.C. standards it’s rated high but in LA this place would be given 2 stars.
This was our first time at Pamplona, celebrating my wife's birthday. She loves tapas, and every dish was delicious. The manager and wait staff were gracious and attentive. We will certainly return. Highly recommended!
Food was terrific and service was outstanding.
I'll be back!
Food and service was great! love the Happy hour options as well
Had an outside reservation and the weather wasn’t cooperating. Manager went above and beyond to arrange an indoor table for us, saving my wife’s Mother’s Day celebration. We visit the area three or four times a year and Pamplona will definitely be our go-to place. Food was excellent and the Sangria is outstanding.
The service was very attentive! The cocktails were amazing, and the seafood pasta was divine!
great food and service!
Went for brunch! For the little time you have for your reservation I thought the service would’ve been better. It took 30 minutes to get my first food item out and all the other guests at my table had already been served twice. Also the waitress rarely came to check on your table after 45 minutes we had to get other people to help.
Tapas were not authentic and basically mediocre. Main dishes were better.
Food, drinks, and attention from the staff were great. The food was delicious and they were accommodating as far as preferences go.
Had a great meal on their outdoor covered patio.
Patio was sunny and beautiful! Loved the watermelon sangria!
Great socially distanced patio. Will be back !
Great date night.
Did not like that main courses such paella, octopus, etc were not available after 4:30 pm. and still selling brunch until that time and only small starters were available
