I would not recommend ist if someone has in mind to eat there. You sit in loounge chairs and therefore it´s hard to eat. The food was good, but disappointing. Sicerly was too far away.
The best was the olive oil the served with their own braed - this was outstanding.
The service was also a highlight. Our waiter was informative, veery polite and helpful.
If you want to have an excellent homemade pasta accompanied with great wine, being servicing by outstanding staff- Pastamara is a place for you!
Tolles Service-Team! Tolle Küche! Aber Tischanordnung (welcher Architekt darf so etwas planen??) viel zu eng, manche Tische sogar direkt auf den Wegen zwischen Bar/Toilette/… schade.

The location is great (downtown and in the wonderful Ritz Carlton Hotel). The decoration is modern and there is a great atmosphere but the food was not as amazing as we could expect for the price we paid. It was a nice evening with good food but it feels you pay a little bit more because of the location. I do not think I'll come back even though the food tastes good and the wine was also good. There were 2 (small) problems with our order - wrong starter and forgot to bring a beer but the waitress was lovely and solutions were found pretty fast. We were asked for water (without knowing it would not be from the tap). At the end, 2 bottles of water cost you 13€, it "hurts" a bit - especially when we could get tap water. Overall a good place with a nice decoration and efficient people working but the food is not the best for the price you pay.

Das Essen war einzigartig gut, die Weinberatung und der Wein selbst sensationell, preislich der Wein vielleicht aber doch etwas zu hoch angesetzt. Die Bedienung höchst aufmerksam, witzig und gut beratend. Modernes Ambiente.
It might have been by chance, but the Tuna Salad was exactly prepared as the - pecky - guest loves it. So, no tomatoes, not eggs, but a beautiful combination of top-quality filets and refreshing greens with a caper salinity to it - and not oversoaked in oil, but marinated thoughtfully with the right amount of DOP olio extravergine. Even the Lime in the lemonade, served with sufficient ice cubes (rare in Vienna!) was a sight to behold. And luckily, their signature pasta was also available. For thos with a like for Bottarga - simply go for the "Spagetthi Taratata". It never disappoints! Grazie, Pastamara

Pasta was partly dry inside.I love "al dente", but my green ,beautifull noodles should have stayed for another minute in salty water. Cream of dessert wasnot out of ordinary

Not much impressed. Starters were bland. Portions ridiculously small for some.
Nice place, very nice service. The „Campari/Negroni-Experience“ is very recomended.
Normally I like more, shall we say rustic, dining experiences. I am the food stall, plastic chairs in south east asia, elbow to elbow with the proletariate type of food connoisseur. However this was well worth dressing up into more formal wear on a rather balmy hot +35 summer day. The food was gastronomically interesting yet with flavours that where easily recognizable for the pallet.
I would personally recommend to get a few aperitivo´s to share, followed by a shared pasta dish, and one to two secondaro´s for two people. Our particular favorite aperitivo was the tuna tartar.
We have been there with 6 peoples.The athmosphere was modern but quite o.k.The food was not outstanding and in the wine card we found no austrian wines even the fact it is an Italian restaurant.Service was very friendly and competent.But now comes the mainpoint we do not choose this restaurant once more:The air condition! It was so cold that we order plankets in the summer!Therefore it was not cosy and we didn´t stay long.Another point:The seats are so low that You need a pillow to eat in a normal high.The wodkamartini was served in a flat glass and was charged whole price wodka and whole price martini.So we all were dieappointed from this evening.
The evening was very nice. We had good Food and nice Drinks. Over all it is a nice place, perhaps a litte too expensive.

Wenig Auslastung für einen Freitag Abend. Sehr sympathischer Kellner, vermittelt aber keinen professionellen Eindruck. Mich hat es nicht gestört, ganz im Gegenteil - ist aber nicht dem Image, das das Restaurant meiner Meinung nach vermitteln möchte, entsprechend.
Alles in Allem ganz ok, aber nicht outstanding. Brot war schon etwas älter und hart.
My husband and I have enjoyed the dinner and the ambiance.
Outstanding wine selection also by getting a glass.
The home made pasta was delicious, well cooked with fresh ingredients.
The dessert was a mix of Italian flavours.
We will surely go back to taste this time the second courses.
One suggestion, if I may....a slightly bigger pasta portion, would not be bad!
Way too expensive for the poor quality and Taste of the food! Sorry for saying that! I had a Pasta completely without Taste, no sauce and the Pasta was nearly raw! Horrible! Very overrated, the atmosphere was also Not that nice! Overall food had no Taste!

Great Italian food with a modern interpretation, especially the pasta, great wine list and especially very attentive service. I would definitely recommend Pastamara.
Just a drop in restaurant off Lobby. Salad was good the mains, not so good. Very expensive for what we received. The wine was dispensed by a tiny carafe, not much bigger than shot glass.
Outstanding bar feeling, excellent drinks and food, service was excellent as well, polite and advice regarding food was very good. Cosy Ambiente.
Second time at Pastamara, second time everything was flawless.
We celebrated our anniversary and got a glass of champagne on the house which was a lovely start. The food is on the pricey side but you get amazing quality - the octopus is one of the best I ever had.
Alex is a fantastic host as well as the manager who offered us an umbrella due to rainy weather.
We’ll be back (and return the umbrella, of course)
Das essen und das Ambiente hat uns recht gut gefallen. Die Cocktails wurden in durchaus ausgefallenen Gläsern präsentiert und waren auch sehr gut, ABER dass der Wein nur in 0,1 l ausgeschenkt wird und das zu einem Preis ab 5,50 der weisse und ca. 8 oder 9 Euro der billigste rote ist selbst für ein Hotel Restaurant wirklich grenzwertig.
Die Rechnung wurde gebracht und dann mussten wir 20 min. warten, bis sich nach Aufruf jemand bequemt hat, die Bezahlung entgegenzunehmen.
Wir waren anschließend noch in der D-Bar. Die Cocktails hier waren erstklassig, der Service exzellent, so würde ich mir das überall wünschen.
In die D-Bar kommen wir sicher wieder.
Das pastamara hat noch Luft nach oben.
Und wie bereits gesagt, die weinpreise und Einheiten sollte man überdenken, wenn man auch Österreicher zu Gast haben will. Denn da komme ich mir irgendwie verarscht vor.
Ambiente ausgezeichnet Service bemüht aber keineswegs so professionell wie bei unserem Abendtermin,Essen leider nur aufgewärmt und einschliesslich des Desserts -hausgemachtes Eis völlig geschmacklos.Schade,wir hatten nach unserem Abendtermin einen perfekten Eindruck(2x)aber diesmal eine grosse Enttäuschung.
The Ritz Carlton Vienna made great use of its (over) extensive lobby area by opening Pastamara. The interior design is warm and friendly, the chairs comfortable although the tables are a little too high compared to the benches.
Prices are at the higher end of the scale but hey, it’s the Ritz. We had fish carpaccio and burrata for a start followed by ravioli and gnocchi.
All four dishes were of excellent quality and presented attractively.
We had a great wine recommendation from Alex the sommelier, making our dinner at Pastamara a sound experience. We’ll be back.
