Peggy Kinnanes Irish Restaurant & Pub
The Thanksgiving sandwich was amazing!!!
Utterly charming restaurant in the heart of Arlington Heights, near the train station. Cozy interior, classic Irish pub bar area, tasty food and cocktails. A big thumbs-up!
Terrific service, food and atmosphere as our family marked a special occasion. Though it was the same time as the football game, the layout is nice as there are areas where you can have conversation. I loved the Jameson's wings, and my Shanghai Chicken Salad, and everyone in our party enjoyed their food.
Food was terrible, both different salmon dishes from main course menu were dry & very, very fishy, perhaps not fresh, we couldn't finished it, tenderloin too dry and chewy so we send it back and replaced with pork shank as the only good acceptable dish.
Service was good and management understood our food frustrations where on our night; 3 dishes were just simple said; terrible, unacceptable but the forth dish = pork shank acceptable.
For food reason we would not recommend Peggy Kinnanes Irish restaurant to our friend.
It was a Halloween Saturday party night so perhaps kitchen was too busy and didn't look for freshness and good quality food preparations.
Our server was EXCELLENT!! I wish I knew his name. He was a young gentleman--very personable and provided wonderful service!!
Bangers & Mash was spectacular! Fish was super good and you must be aware that the beer battering on the fish is pretty thick however the fish inside was Devine! Flakey and fresh👍 The young man who waited our table was awesome and we even met the owner who was delightful and asked me if I wanted my fish redone.
We would recommend!
OUR FOOD WAS FANTASTIC, GREAT AMBIANCE. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK SOON!
We've been here many times. Some times it's better than others. A lot depends on the server. The server we had this time was perfect. Wish she would be there all the time. Other servers have left us sitting for a long time before we order or make us wait forever for our check. This time all was perfect. Food and selection are great. Don't miss this one.
First time ever we weren’t thrilled with service.
Great food and service. If you have play tickets at the Metropolis it is directly across the street.
We celebrated my sister’s bachelorette party here after going to Arlington Race track. Both the track and restaurant had the halfway-to-St.Patrick’s-Day theme, and we had a blast. We all enjoyed our dinner, the Irish dancers, and the live music! The service was excellent, too. We do not live in the area but hope to visit again!
We love Peggy's! Our family visits often and favorites include the Reuben Eggrolls and the Fish & Chips. Have recommended this to others and will continue to do so!
The food and service was very good but seems like the prices have gone up. Kinda pricey now!
I came with a group that had multiple needs for eating and Peggy's was able to accommodate all of us. All the food was enjoyed with many compliments and I also heard this place was the perfect pick. There was even someone wanting the potato ball recipe. Thank you for creating a wonderful evening for a group a people from three different states and many different dietary needs.
Excellent service and tasty food as always.
Very nice Irish pub. Food was good. Service was a bit slow, but still worth the experience.
Dinner before play with friends. Waitress was excellent!
We had a table by the outside back door and every time it opened it was a breeze. Very uncomfortable being by the door and the table was uncomfortable as well. Too many obstructions under it.
I was a little disappointed that by 7pm they had already run out of the soup for the night. To me that seems like poor planning on their part since it was pretty early in the evening.
Food was great, we all liked what we had. I had fish sliders, perfect and filling. We had two children with us, the mac and cheese was a big hit. (We all had a wee bit of a taste, yum.) The other two in our group had the Reubens, perfect.
Good food good service
The corned beef & cabbage dinner was tasteless and the corned beef very tough.
We sat outside because the weather was beautiful. Service was backed up and slowly w but good waiter
This is the second time we've eaten at Peggy Kinnanes and enjoyed it both times. We have tickets for Metropolis, so it's very close and the restaurant/bar scene in this area is lovely. We enjoyed the food although it is heavy on the salt. The waitress was very nice and competent. When we told her we have some allergies she was right on top of it and made sure everything was good for us to eat.
Since it was a beautiful evening, we ate outside. They have a huge patio around the restaurant.
Would recommend this for anyone wanting a good dinner. Nice place.
Server was excellent food was fair . The pick four appetizers were fair at best the deviled eggs were definitely spoiled
My husband and I sat outside. Service and food were excellent.
The food & the service were great. The noise level is horrific. We could NOT hear each other talk from across the table which was VER annoying. When we went outside it was like stepping into the Green Room after a VERY loud concert.
Overall a great place to enjoy some cocktails and good food. Great vibe and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place whether it be with family or friends.
Went for brunch and was pleasantly surprised with the selections. Definitely will go back.
Everything was great, service and food quality. Fill stuff because stupid open table wants 50 characters
Fun location, friendly staff, excellent food. It's a nice place to get together with friends or family, a lively atmosphere.
Terrible service. Live band at 8pm. Way to loud. This was the second chance I was willing to give. Done. Sorry.
We happened to be there for lunch prior to seeing a play at the Metropolis Theater. It just so happened to be at a time when a soccer playoff game was being broadcast on all of the televisions in the pub, and the noise level was HIGH! I understand the sports enthusiasm and appreciated their zest for the sport, and it was a perfect place to be with a large group of people who wanted to have a FUN afternoon. However, our party of six could hardly hear each other over the whooping and hollering. The majority of patrons were having a GREAT DEAL OF FUN!! Food was just your average pub fare, nothing to excite any of us at our table. Our server accidentally threw our lunch tabs away and had to retake everyone's order at the end of the meal before he could rewrite our checks. Good thing we had an HONEST group!
Large menu. Waitress was excellent. Great place to eat before Hey Nonny concert.
they sat us right away (due to our reservation) which was appreciated but the brunch frankly is just low quality. food took forever to come out & just way too pricey for what you get. thumbs down
The food was good. However, price for a small cup of soup and small half sandwich was misleading. I ordered a half Rueben sandwich that added another $1.00 and selected the soup of the day, Lobster Bisque, which added another $2.00 to the menu charge of $10.95 for a cup of soup and 1/2 sandwich. Total paid was $13.95, too much for small portions and the added charge of $2.00 extra not indicated on the menu for the soup???? Also, the Restaurant when crowded is very noisy.
These onions rings with the harp sauce need to be on everyone’s bucket list! The pot roast sandwich is so tender you don’t even need teeth!
Very nice casual dinning with a variety of food options. Great service and music to boot.
Very good fish and chips. Our server Michelle was wonderful.
Burgers are great. Got personal service from the owner. He’s such a hard worker.
They serve all types of food. Try it! It’s one of our favorite places!
Wonderful evening-great food and really enjoyed Replay.
