Pepino's Spaghetti House
This place is great! This is the second time I've been to Pepino's. Both times we had incredible service. The Maitre D both times was so nice. The server the first time showed me how to pick up things with a fork and spoon in one hand after i asked her (hahaha) she was awesome, and obviously very experienced and professional, while still making it feel like a family restaurant.
Our server on Sunday night was great as well, I mean truly wonderful service. She was also experienced and professional while keeping the family feel. She even served us impeccably with a sprained (or broken?) finger! Quick service, great recommendations, great vibe.
We will be back!
Such great food and huge portions. It's a great experience to dine at Pepino's
This is one of the hands down best restaurants in Vancouver. Perfect no nonsense dining. Pepino’s delivers on everything is promises. Delicious food, authentic ambience, great drinks and professional friendly service. A true worthy successor to Nick’s
Loved the food. Excellent, efficient friendly service from Austin, Paula and Alex! We’ll be back!
Food and service was great, but it was really loud in there.
Service was great, made my wife’s birthday even more special. Homemade pasta special wash really good and the veal scallopini was just good.
But the tiramisu was rich and decadent.
I took my gf for her birthday and she was so impressed by the service and the food. They were so considerate with her allergies and careful with the food she ordered. She is a sucker for places with a cozy, classic rustic vibe so she really loved the place since they kept the original woodwork from the last owner.
I’ve been there before for casual dining but this was the first time I made a birthday reservation through open table. They left a note for her birthday and gave us a dessert on the house. Is the little details that make a normal celebration a one to remember.
Pepino's is the best Italian food in Vancouver. I love the retro vibe. Our server accommodated the needs of our high maintenance (adult) kids and made the whole evening even more fun than normal.
Nostalgic environment with fantastic food and an excellent selection, with large portions for a great value. Service was attentive & friendly, and our server was well informed on their wine list & recommendations.
Everything from the service to the ambiance to the food was fantastic. Highly recommend!
A good evening, but I wouldn't rush back. There are lots of good Italian eateries in Vancouver at far more competitive prices.
Excellent classic Italian menu. Wonderful service. Warm and lively atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!
Love this place! Lots of taste, lots of food. Feels like an authentic New York Italian hidden gem.
Great food! Good times!
We had a great experience here, our waiter was very friendly and the food was excellent.
Great service but food wise was mediocre. Pasta dishes were in the sour side and uninspiring. Prices were near high end.
Amazing food and service. I will be sure to return.
It was a great experience. I took my mom straight from the airport from Egypt, and promised she will have the beat Italian dinner. And she did. Food, service and everything was excellent . Grazie mille. Vi vogliamo bene.
My friend and I shared our dishes with each other and both were equally amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go again.
Amazing service with fresh bread! Never once rushed us with our meal, had a very enjoyable night out with great food and great people.
I ordered the calamari which was too salty and the scampi linguini which was really hard to find any or even a whole one for $32.
Great service. Excellent food overall. The only downside is that it was extremely loud - could hardly hear the server and could not carry on a conversation.
Love this place, feel like I'm back to Rome! Must have their avocado salad.
We are generally happy here however this time was mostly disappointing! Uber salty chicken so when it was whisked away it took some time for a replacement! We were hungry & left hungry as the second attempt was not better! No one attended the table for some time- they had now filled up with their reservations! Sadly a second chance here & likely will not return. Abit of burn out possibly? They are busy & people universally love pasta!
Thanks for another great evening. Looking forward to our next visit already... 😊😊
Consistently one of my favorite restaurants from this past year. Yes, it gets a little loud, but really that’s half the fun, you can tell everyone is having a great time!
We expected a traditional Italian meal because of the restaurant’s history The food was good but is you’re looking for traditional Italian food, this not the place. It’s also rather pricey for pasta course (mine was not homemade). If we ate there again, I would order the homemade pasta. Drink selections were limited to drinks listed on the menu. The same was true for the food menu - no substitutes were allowed. We were disappointed and are unlikely to return but this perhaps had more to do with our expectations. Open Table also listed the restaurant as $$ and it really should be $$$.
Great cozy old New York atmosphere. Plates are big and delicious—everything, including the salads, are rich, though, so it would be nice if there were some lighter menu choices that were a break from the olive oil and cream. But all in all, a truly lovely meal and perfect place for a gathering with friends or special occasion.
A group of six of were celebrating a couple of birthdays. A good impression for a first visit. We will be back.
Fabulous good and friendly service - consistently. It’s a little loud, and tables are close, but the food is worth it & it’s all part of the lively experience.
Menu has ample choices and portions are generous. We often opt for menu for 2, $45 per person includes appy/starter, pasta, main, side & desert - always leave with leftovers.
Our faves include chicken piccata, & the sugo on spaghetti & meatballs is amazing.
Absolutely LOVED💕 our special evening at Pepito’s Spaghetti House!!! We had been coming to Nick’s for over 30 years & it was WONDERFUL to so much of it still there as we remembered!!! The service was excellent even though it was an insanely busy Saturday night!! The food was FABULOUS!!! We shared your Calamari starter (yummy 😋) & our entrees were the Beef Tenderloin & your amazing Sablefish!!! All finished off with your “out of this world” Tiramisu with a candle & card for my Birthday 🎂!!! It was a FABULOUS evening & can’t wait to return😊!!!
We came hungry and Pepinos didnt disappoint. We love this place
Always the best time!!!
Lovely evening for our anniversary! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious! We appreciated the glasses of bubbly upon our arrival.
What an excellent evening. From the retained old school decor of Nick’s to the innovative and elevated food, it was excellent. Kind attentive staff, a great avocado pistachio and kale salad to the baseball size spaghetti and meatballs to the Big Anthony pork chop, it was a memorable meal. People are close so not great for intimacy unless shared but would go back with family 100%.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! The food, service, atmosphere- everything was on point. Highly recommend!
I am not sure what I was hoping for, maybe clean carpets and a renovated bathroom at the very least. The food was ok the meatballs very dry, the sauce super salty, for the prices I would hope for better food. Maybe it was an off night... The service was great, the noise level was high, we could not hear each other across the table. Maybe this is because the table next to us was VERY close.. I would not rush back.
Service was amazing and venue was classic, but food especially the pasta could have been better. Didn’t taste like fresh noodles.
Pepino's is always great. On a Monday night it was a little less buzzy and energetic than the weekend, but of course that's the case. Great meal, perfect for bringing out of town guests.
Great food and service as usual!
