Absolutely the best Hospitality we've ever experienced.
I think the main course portions were tiny for the price. Scallops 5 pieces or so, tiny plate, small serving. Filet Mignon nothing less, look's like a appetizers. With two glasses of wine, one appetizer, two entree's, a round of a dozen oysters at the happy hour rate of 1.50$, and then one dessert and a coffee, the bill came to 177$. That's too much, if the portions were more generous, I'd have no problem but it's heavily overpriced, and probably great to just have a drink/app's at the bar and call it a night. Won't be returning - overrated, overpriced and under whelming in portions.
Our experience at Petit Marlow was SHOCKINGLY terrible. Our rsvp was 730. We were sat and greeted promptly. We ordered within 20 minutes . Our wine and oysters came out as expected. But then it all fell apart. 50 minutes later our appetizer and salad were no where to be seen. After multiple inquiries no one seemed to know what was happening! Finally our salad arrives 9pm. The main courses 915 almost 2 hrs later and cold. A medium rare steak and scallops brought to the table barely warm. At this point we just sent it back and got the hell out. What a mess!!!
Really cute and cozy ambiance, definitely a smaller restaurant so would recommend making reservations! The food was really delicious - we tried the oysters, Hamachi Crudo, Di Stefano Burrata and the crab melt.
Dined there for Mother’s Day. Fun menu, great service. Would recommend.
Unique menu options, beautiful presentation and great service
Great happy hour - $1.50 oyster and $25 bottle of rose, yum! Also a fan of the cheese board and dessert menu. Friendly staff, beautiful space and great music. Can't wait to go back.
Great service and food!
I love everything about this cute little place. It reminds me of paris! From the food , to our waiter , everything was excellent. Very romantic place.
Food: overpriced and overdressed. The burrata and the arugula was over dressed with sauce and very salty. The deviled egg was half of a mini egg for 3$. We ordered a main entree, but that never came and was asked if we’d like to order dessert. We had a charcuterie plate(more like salami with arugula) a burrata dish, skipped the main entree because it was too late and instead had dessert with a couple glasses of wine. Still spent 100$ for an incomplete dinner.
Service: couldn’t even find a host to check in, so we sat at the bar. Even after telling someone that we were checking in, they continued to seat us at the bar a good 20 min. I had to tell our bartender that we had reserved a table once again because he asked if we’d like to order a meal.
I’m hesitant about giving five stars across the board if for no other reason, few places actually deserve that (Petit Marlowe would’ve close) and while I wish them every possible business success, we enjoyed being able to make a last minute reservation.
This is a bistro. Nothing more, certainly nothing less. But, they get everything right with the sort of quality food, plating, and service that you expect at a much more exclusive, much more costly restaurant.
Delicious food. Especially enjoyed the beet salad. Cute place. Relaxed atmosphere.
On an early Friday evening this was a great place to catch up with a friend for a chat, wine, and a few bites.
All of the seafood and starters are delicious. Get the warm bread and butter!
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Strongly recommend this restaurant.
The place looked promising when we walked in with a lively crowd squeezed comfortably into a quaint bistro setting. From there, things went downhill a bit though. The waitstaff seemed burdened and had difficulty paying proper attention to our table, and the quality of the food didn't live up to the potential we thought it had when reading the menu. I think the place would be great for a drink and some oysters but recommend avoiding it for a full meal...
Great service staff and kitchen chef
Food was pretty salty and cocktails were too sweet. Servers were very nice but not sure I’ll be going back in a hurry.
Great food, very French bistro like: noisy, small tables, lots of commotion (none too bad), great dining choices from lots of very fresh seafood, real French onion soup, beautiful french fries, exceptionally tasty fish - I had onion soup and the Petrale Sole with Dino Kale on the base of a puree of butternut squash (an incredible combination where all the flavors melded together beautifully). Very attentive service, so much so that my glass of wine was comped given the long wait between soup and entree. Great place, well worth the detour and the money. Be sure to make a reservation!!
Great place near Caltrain station and other South of Market venues. Great food, super ambience. Like a small Paris Bistro or cafe in Manhattan.
Found it difficult to get drinks and food in time. It took 2 hours to receive 2 drinks and a side of fries.
Food was out of this world. Hamachi crudo and beef tartar were the highlights, but everything we ordered was delicious. Atmosphere of a small French bistro great.
Those deviled eggs are amazing. Didn’t have a big enough stomach to try everything I wanted. Will be back.
Great birthday dinner!
Great wine bar and place to grab seafood. Would recommend going to their happy hour. Great deals!
Very French-ish busy and intimate bistro with delightful food. Great service.
A few more options for food would be better, staff was pleasant however could use a bit more polish.
Food was excellent and . Definitely more of a wine bar feel. Felt like a great place to meet after work for a drink and appetizer, not so much for a romantic night out, crowded and loud. Staff was very good, but spread thin.
Lovely food but poor service. Our appetizers were not delivered at the same time and when we asked the waiter he said “yeah, I know sorry” and did nothing about it. So he knew that he was providing poor service and did nothing to make it better (like letting us know why the food was late or even acknowledging it.) Odd.
good oysters and very convenient spot before events at AT&T. Good wine list as well.
Food was mediocre and service horrible. So disappointed.
So so food.
The Truffle fries are unique and so delicious. And tasty oysters!
Such a cute space, friendly staff and great happy hour!
Not quite as good as usual but still very enjoyable
Great date restaurant!
Food is delicious and the menu is very focused. There is an excellent raw bar with selections from all the best coastal areas which changes based on freshest availability. The service is very excellent. Very attentive but not overly pushy and definitely time for a leisurely dinner enjoyment.
We sat at the cute little booth in the front & everything was delicious!
Fun and delicious
Petit Marlowe is truly a hidden gem! It is a fantastic restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious and authentic French. The fresh oysters are phenomenal and everything we had was outstanding. If I could score the service higher than 5 stars, I would. The service was beyond compare and just right level of attentiveness and non intrusive. We will be going back here very soon.
