Amazing experience! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Very friendly staff and the owner was very personable, friendly, welcoming and funny! We ordered the Gnocchi al Pesto and Margherita pizza. The pizza was so delicious we ended up ordering another pizza, even after we were stuffed. We couldn’t stop and ordered the Salsiccia pizza. Didn’t think it could get any better than the Margherita. We will be back again when we visit Portland!!

Also the restaurant was very clean and took social distancing seriously between tables.

This is the best italian restaurant in the USA by far!! You really feel to be in a real Italian restaurant, the food (anything on the menu) is FANTASTIC: perfectly cooked and served like in Italy. The staff and the service is great and Mauro, the owner, is the best in the business!
I'd drive from very far away to come back here!

Had a wonderful dinner Saturday night! Loved the pizza; so authentic. Staff was extremely courteous and we felt very comfortable as tables were spaced far apart. The pannacotta was amazing! Only complaint would be that the fried donut fingers were swimming in Nutella. Would have preferred much less or even to dip on the side. Would definitely return again!

The whole evening was great from start to finish. The salad (La Scala) was fresh and the daily-made dressing was light and delicious. The pizza (Bianca Neve) was delicious! The fresh ricotta, Italian sausage and crust were too-shelf. The web was balanced and perfect for our meal. The Limoncello afterward was the perfect finish. The owner is from Milano and is very welcoming. Pizzerino is on my list for Portland forevermore.

Both the service and food were wonderful!

We had an exceptional meal.....from the Aperol spritz to the super Tuscan red, to the Caprese skewers and on to the pizza itself.....nothing disappointed. One of new "go tos" in Portland.

Great pizza and very friendly and helpful staff!

The owner was wonderful, and extremely helpful, as was our server. There is a lot of variety on the menu, and all of the items are authentic Italian. There are wine recommendations for every item, which I found extremely helpful. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal there, and we would go again in a heartbeat.

Excellent, authentic pizza! We tried the Napolatano with white anchovies and the Bianca Neve, both cooked to perfection! Barely had enough room for desert, but managed to share a tiramisu that was heavenly. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly and the owner was welcoming and made sure each table was happy. We'll be back!

Just ok and expensive for what we got. Red wine was freezing cold. Pizza was uncut which is ridiculous to have your customer struggling to cut at table. Salad was delicious.

This is a great little restaurant and the owner is very personable and very attentive. My husband and I split a Burrata Antipasti and a Salsiccia Pizza and they were both very yummy. We look forward to returning to this small wonderful restaurant to enjoy other items on their menu.

I feel like I have been to this restaurant in Italy, and other parts of Europe. The vibe is very traditional Italian. They don’t cut the pizza for you, that sort of thing. The menu was a little intimidating for my date, partially because it was in Italian, and because the font was a little aggressively italicized. Which I suppose makes sense writing it down.

Not worth the price. Portions were small. Service was confused.

Extremely bizarre

Enjoyed the salad. Pizza was good but not Portland’s best. It is a shame they don’t offer pasta dishes since their sister restaurant makes pasta from scratch. They offer risotto and polenta with toppings you would find in a pasta dish so it wouldn’t be a huge stretch and would open the menu to many more offerings satisfying customers options.

If you liked pizza during your trip to Europe this is the place for you. And the ambiance is special including a personal conversation with Mauro...

We love Pizzarino! You’re always greeted warmly, like an old friend. The staff are always so nice and attentive. And the food is delicious! This time we had the gnocchi Bolognese, which is so fluffy and tasty. The pizzas, one with prosciutto and one with mushrooms and artichokes, were full of flavor and the crusts are perfect! We started with their amazing salads as well. Their use of fresh ingredients and staying true to Italian roots really shows. We brought friends with us again and they too can’t wait to go back. So happy to have found this neighborhood gem!

Puzzarino was absolutely fabulous and I’d highly recommend based on the food, service, location and atmosphere. This is my second visit so I’ve tried a variety of their dishes and each was not only delicious but had a beautiful presentation. As a gluten free diner this place is not only accommodating but has a great selection of dishes, including GF pizza, pasta, salads, and risotto. A real ‘hidden in plain sight’ treasure in a town full of them. Try this place, you’ll love it.

Pizza was good. Pounding music and noise level in the main dining room was not. We sat at the bar. Understaffed - you felt the tension of a scramble to serve and take orders. Why does the owner - clearly present - think diners crave loud, driving, percussive-heavy music-as-noise with their thoughtfully prepared pizza and glass of Chianti? Veramente. Per chè?

Great meal - it’s pizza and pasta, but it’s all really well done in a place that has a fun vibe to it. A great place to go with kids... and the hosts and staff were attentive and great. Good salads, too!

From the moment you walk into Pizzarino you are greeted like family! Our server was terrific - the owner, Mauro came to ours and all of the tables to deliver food and chat and make sure everything was ok. We had 2 kinds of pizza, their delicious house salad, 2 kinds of risotto cakes and their delicious gnocchi. We look forward to eating at Pizzarino every time! Can’t wait to go back!

This spot was nice. I was looking for a place with Italian food as we were rubbing a marathon the next day. Great options for a gluten free, vegan pizza! They had two varieties of gluten free pasta as well but could not say for sure if there was dairy (likely butter) in some items on the menu. Either way, the pizza was great and we’d go back.

It was a magical evening for us while visiting Portland from Chicago & San Francisco. With Mauro in Italy, his second in command charmed us with conversation at the bar, very good drinks, and such good food!

WISH WE WERE LOCAL SO WE COULD COME ONE A WEEK! We cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Pizzarino! From the moment we sat down and the owner came to thank us for coming in to when we left everything was excellent. The family feel this restaurant generates is exceptional. The owners story of how he came to open the restaurant, the fact that his close friend from Italy opened one down the street, and the photos of the 2 of them that hang in the dining room all made this experience so authentic. The servers clearly love working here as was demonstrated by their interactions with Mauro (the owner). He spent time with every customer that came in - not once, but throughout the meal. THEN the food came - the arancini Bolognese was delicious and the pizza far surpassed anything we have had. Whole wheat, thin crust with the freshest of ingredients. While we live in Massachusetts, we will be making some day trips just to go back to Pizzarino and we have told friends in the area it is a must to put into their routine!
