Pt Leo Restaurant
Our experience was not as pleasant as we had anticipated.. the initial wait staff were very nice.... the lady who brought our drinks was lovely...but our waiter was not interested in us at all.
This was my first visit to Pt. Leo Restaurant and it certainly won’t be my last. The view was amazing. It was so beautiful to see the water as well as the magnificent sculptures. The food was exceptional and the Pinot Gris excellent.
Food was delicious and just the right amount. Waitress made good suggestions and we were happy with the service
Food and service is exceptional. My only complaint is that after spending nearly $500 between 4 of us we were asked to vacate our table as there were people waiting to eat. Also expecting you to then pay to walk through the sculpture park is only greed.
There are so many delicious options on the menu that it was hard to choose what to get. Everything we ate was fantastic (oysters, duck entree, snapper, beef, chocolate mousse and blush strawberries) The waitstaff were the standout - every person we interacted with was incredibly hospitable, friendly and professional. Have already recommended to others.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with so much warmth and enthusiasm. The venue is beautiful - glass windows surround the entire venue, which looks out to a stunning view of the vineyard and ocean in the distance. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to make our dining experience as pleasant as possible. Food was delicious, on the expensive side but delicious none the less! Would definitely return. Great for a special occasion or celebration.
Loved the whole experience! Sharon, our waitress, blew us away with her menu knowledge and treated us like royalty. Thank you to all for a lovely lunch.
We had a delicious lunch on a well patronised Friday. I can recommend the Starters particularly the Zucchini flowers as well as the Beetroot pancakes. We chose fish for the main course and were very happy with the flavours and presentation. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. All in all several hours very well spent. We bought some wine too!
Picturesque setting, delightful atmosphere, professional staff and unique and tasty cuisine. Definitely worth a visit for both the ambience and the high quality, value for money dining experience.
What a wonderful experience! The food the service and the entire restaurant was outstanding! It was a special event for us that was acknowledged several times by staff... very impressed!
Great place to spend a raining winter day. Lovely food service and ambience
We are locals (Flinders) so very happy to have such a fine establishment so close by and one we can introduce friends to. Not just a lunch but a special experience to share with others. Plenty of space between the tables makes conversation easy to engage in. Staff are excellent, professional but also friendly. All round hard to fault. John and Ann
Food and service was amazing, I really enjoyed the experience. I will definitely visit again.
Fabulous meal, great view, excellent service. Definitely recommend for a special occasion.
Great food, great service, great staff. Couldn't fault our lovely lunch. I had listed on the online reservation that it was my wife's birthday but hadn't asked for any special arrangements. When desert came out they had very thoughtfully added a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate which was very nice.
Love this restaurant, it's an escape from the city, delicious food, reasonable prices for the quality, good wine list and excellent service. Something for everyone too - vegetarian, prefer seafood, meat, no problem, it's all there for your enjoyment.
The sculpture park is impressive too, we've admired the sculptures on two occasions so didn't take a walk this time, bit cold. Nice views of the water and across to Philip Island too.
Lunch at Point Leo gives a lift, we'll be back
We had a great time. The food is innovative, well prepared, well presented and well served. The service is excellent, friendly, informative and not at all stuffy. The wine list is encyclopedic (with prices to match!) and matches the food very effectively. The views are good. Despite the absence of carpet, clever use of sound deadening material keeps the noise level in check. I wholeheartedly recommend this as a great dining experience. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely loved it. The food was incredible. I would go back in a heart beat
Great friendly personal service. Delicious food and wine. Will come back for sure.
Wonderful experience. Impeccable service and amazingly delicious food that the whole family enjoyed
This was truly the best day out we have had in years. My husband travels a lot and has been to some amazing restaurants, the food and wine were the best he has ever had. I can't believe this restaurant and winery is in Victoria. We are so spoiled. We will make this a regular getaway from now on, amazing!!
Amazing setting and fantastic food. The staff were lovely and we had a great experience.
Murray was our waiter and he was fantastic. We had such a great night! Thankyou.
Where do I start? My partner and I went to Point Leo for the first time and wow it was so good, so good that we came back for lunch the next day hahaha.
Oh dear, not going to lie, every good we ordered was amazing. Flavour, flavour, flavour. My Wagyu was done perfectly (medium-rare) and my partner’s whiting was top notch !
Muscles sandwiches, really? It tasted better than your regular sliders! Loved it.
Carrot soufflé, f*** me, so so so good and even the bread that came along was just too good! Please I would eat the bread for breakkie, lunch and dinner!
How did you guys create such a surprisingly good tasting parsnip, like seriously how? (Bloody talented) We don’t get it.. the flavour was soooooo good! (Didn’t know parsnip can be that great).
Came back for lunch, I ordered their special (600 grams ribeye) with 4 condiment... I ate them all, all to myself. A special dish for $59? What a steal! Same as my Wagyu, it was cooked perfectly (medium rare).
Can you teach me how you make the clam broth please? I would love to shower it in. It’s fabulous!!
Don’t even get me started with desserts.. so lucky to had the last “Cheesecake, cucumber, coriander seed and beetroot” because they took it out of the menu! Unlucky youse. The cheesecake doesn’t sound good at all but dear me it’s literally 10/10 in Masterchef.
My partner’s mocktails was very good and tasty and my wines went well with what I had!!
Last but not least, the service were amazing, I’ll never forget how friendly and knowledgeable they were. Please remember me when I come back to Point Leo Restaurant okay? Need to save some money for more haha (poor boy).
So much more to say but nah, I’ll save it for next time :D
PS: Thanks for the complimentary tickets to your beautiful sculpture park.
View from the table over the Sculpture Park out to sea is sensational.
Food and service were first class. Waitress was bright and cheery and was well acquainted with menu offerings.
With a large number of diners present , I felt that the tables were too close together -private conversation was difficult.
Impressive building with wonderful views to Phillip Island
Welcome and waiter staff friendly and able to answer questions about meals
Meals presented well and enjoyed
Birthday presentation appreciated
Sculptures tour rounded off a wonderful afternoon
Well done to all
Amazing service, great with us when our little one was starting to get over it and we had to eat and run, they brought the food quickly and were very understanding. Delicious food!
Fabulous on all levels! Food and wine superb and genuine caring service from Maddie and the staff. Thankyou!
Everything was quite nice but the staff let you down with poor performances everywhere
For eg as a waitress came to pour wine knocked the glass over and blamed another waitress for leaving the wine list standing, she never smiled and was quite unpleasant, that said a couple were very nice.
Food was delicious and my wife loved the Chardonnay and the Pinot
This is one of favourite restaurants on the Peninsula. A must try for their gorgeously plated food and attentive service.
Great food, great service friendly, efficient, accommodating and knowledgeable staff. A wonderful dining experience that my partner and I really enjoyed. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Beautiful setting, beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. The service however didn't meet that standard as you would have expected. We had to ask the waiter for the food menus, then again ask to take our order once we were ready (we waited for about 15min) then they forgot to bring out a dish. Customer service to address this was fair but it is the little things that matter when you in a setting and paying for a dear meal, you'd hope the service would match. Would still recommend though.
A charming welcome and service from a professional staff, who helped me celebrate a birthday in the lovliest way. Thank you, Prof. Helen Johnson
Terrific service all staff on point. Extensive menu with plenty of options. Really enjoyed our meal and on a lovely autumn day the view was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences that either I, or my friends have experienced. The reasons for this view are: (i) the size of the servings are small. This problem was accentuated when the barbecued wagyu beef course which I was sharing, comprised over a least one-third inedible gristle. When this was advised to, and noted by, the waiter, he responded that "he would advise the Chef". No further response. (2) the cheese platter which were advised could be shared , includerd a minute piece of cheese and THREE biscuits . (3) the overall standard in terms of cooking, serving size and pricing were well below standard.
Went to Point Leo Estate for the first time
From the start to the end of our dinner the service been outstanding. Waiter explaining well about the special and what wine great to comparing with.
The only thing I found so overwhelming is the meal with Dory in XO mushroom stirfry. The Dory it self really well cooked and the stirfry has great flavour. To combine together they're very make fairly rich meal. My suggestion probably need to something to break the richness from meal. Probably pairing it with potatoes not the best thing(we ordered as a side). This is just my opinion...nothing wrong with meal itself
Overall, our first experience very good! Will definitely coming back 🙂
Amazing view. Nice wine. Impressive dining place. Make sure you have good companions to this place and you will enjoy it as much as possible.
WE have dined at Point Leo several times, the food and the service is always good and the staff very friendly. The outlook from the restaurant is also great and makes a very pleasant dining experience. although the food is good I would like to see a bit more creativity and variety in the menu also I wish your pork belly had a crispy skin.
It was an anniversary lunch and this was acknowledged by staff which was great. Service was prompt and food was excellent.
Magnificent restaurant to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary
