We are the lil sis of Queenstown Public House located in the Little Italy district of San Diego. Slightly smaller, but with the same basic ingredients.

A beautiful, comfortable, unique, fun setting. A friendly, smiling, courteous staff we hope you get to know. Guests enjoying the moment, sharing a laugh, whom we hope we get to know. Freshly made dishes; locally sourced, passionately created, many unique…and all delicious. A beer list changing daily, proudly from our award winning local craft SD brewers, and a wine list chosen with care from select vineyards and varietals.

With a kiwi inspired lineage, and the spirit, love and good nature from the land of the Maori, we hope you will join us. And if we are so fortunate, then, we hope you will have a little too much of a good time, have a few too many laughs, stay a while, and return again soon to see us.

    We had the quiche and salad combo and both were delicious. Out waiter was wonderful, attentive but not too much so. We had a nice table in the back, but there are a lot of high tops with stools with no backs, which is really uncomfortable seating. The music is a little on the loud side, because it’s competing with the live performance just outside. I am definitely going to go there again.

    First time dining here. The NZ meat pie and All American Joe burger were delicious. Didn't care so much for the wedges. Would have liked them crispier. The service was good.

    The food was delicious but was overshadowed by the poor service from our waiter and the uncomfortable seating. Our waiter was not super attentive and also sloshed our cocktails over our table on our our feet in his haste to drop it off and didn’t say anything or offer additional napkins to clean it up. The seating on the backside of the patio were uncomfortable where if you were over 5’3” your knees would bump the low tables have to hunch down to eat. In addition, the tables were too small to seat two with meals and too close the near by patroons. I would recommend asking for one of the stand alone tables with actual chairs. The noise level was moderate, but too be expected since the restaurant is located in the mall but they did attempt to block out the view of the mall by hanging cute decorations and privacy walls. We would recommend the food but suggest trying another location.

    Aside from feeling a bit rushed (not bad), it was a very nice dinner. Service was professional, drinks were delish and food fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend. $$-$$$

    The cocktails are great, especially the Pimm's Cup. The Posh Pooch is refreshing but not particularly sweet. The rack of lamb is very good.

    Maybe I had real high expectations, thinking it was going to be as good as the one in Little Italy, but, no I would not go there again. Food was not tasty, service was pretty slow, even if place was not busy, and very pricey. Very discouraged and Will not go there again

    Excellent service and delicious food. The burgers are especially good, as was the lamb. Queenstown is an open air restaurant. The heaters worked well, but bring a sweater or jacket during winter and spring. Ambience is lovely and their tea service is very charming.

    Loved all their burgers! My friend had the lamb, another the ahi burger and I had the one with jalapeño & blue cheese. All were great & so were the salads & dessert!! Waiter was super nice too! We’ll be back.

    Food very slow to come out 45 mins for hamburgers undergone. At 50 mins we were notified they were out of one of the orders. Very pleasant folk but just need better management skills or more trained personal. 2 meals comped which was great. Not going back. Sorry

    We have had good experiences here in the past. I hope this night was an exception. Our table was wet in places when we sat down. Our server was brusque to the point of being rude. I don’t know if he was over worked or having a bad day, but he acted like we were a big unconvinced and we were not rude or demanding in the least. The food, especially the burger, was quite good.

    I love this place. I have been dining at Queenstown Bistro pretty regularly for the past couple years. I love the location, I love the open-air ambiance, and the food is fantastic. I had the baked brie this past visit… EXCELLENT. But honestly, I love all of their food. The strawberry chicken salad is one of my favorites (pears, strawberries, grilled chicken over spinach with goat cheese and almonds) - WOW, so delicious. There are several unique menu items, and some classics. I’m working my way through the menu. The burgers are wonderful, but if you’re craving comfort food give the chicken pot pie a try. 100% recommend!

    Nice place to grab a drink and talk with friends..the burgers, wine, and baked brie were all delicious. Also a great place to take a first date.

    The Cherry Happenstance cocktail was delicious. We enjoyed all of the food ordered including the Prosciutto & Burrata appetizer, rack of lamb main course, Blazin Ahi sandwich, and cookie and ice cream dessert. The wait staff was attentive.

    The baked brie was very good as was the quinoa salad with salmon. The shrimp and mango salad did not live up to the others. We would visit again for the lavender gimlets but the service was very slow and inattentive and the second drink order did not arrive until we were done with our meals so the waiter did not charge us. The poor service would definitely make us reconsider going again.

    Great spot and loved the ambiance. We came here for couple of drinks and dinner. The food is amazing and their cocktail twists were unique and tasty. A must visit place in UTC mall and a good experience to feel NZ touch on their menu. :)

    We had a very nice dinner at The Bistro UTC. All outdoors but the heaters made it very comfortable. Wait staff were all friendly and did not rush us at all.

    Overall was a decent experience. The food was quite good and it had a cute atmosphere. However, the service was atrocious. The server took 10 minutes to even notice we sat down, walked over and asked if we were ready to order with no introduction or formalities and then failed to check in on us until we were ready for the check. The food also took quite a while to be delivered and looking at other tables, that seemed to be a common theme.
