The beer was great and our waitress was very attentive. The main issues were:
1) the food portions are incredibly small - especially when compared to similarly priced places like Leopold's and Suppenküche
2) something about the layout of the space amplifies the noise in the room making it impossible to have a conversation with someone sitting more than one seat away from you
Overall, it was okay.
Absolutely wonderful service and wonderful food! We were there for our Grandpa’s 93rd Birthday and he is German so we make it a point to try every German restaurant we can when we take him out! It was a bit loud for an elderly person but us young(ish) folks were okay. Totally busy and booming atmosphere, lots of fun was had by all. Price point is a little high, but you get that at any German Restaurant. We will be back!
Fun scene with great water views, food, drinks & dessert! Wasn’t expecting such a diverse drink & food menu. The dessert was outta this world.
Chicken thighs were delicious!!
great food and rothaus beer! Good spatzle and pickles too!
Festive lively atmosphere, friendly service and food is always consistent -- with German beer house favorites, as well as fresh California salads.
Great place and great view!
The drinks were fantastic! The food came out at different times, even though we asked for the same serving time, so some was cold. The service was really poor. We, essentially, had to ask again and again for our server. Usually we have a much better experience, like for drinks at the bar, but this was discouraging.
Great view of the sunset from the gigantic windows. The inside has all hard surfaces and no noise abatement. Bearable noise level when not busy, but unable to carry on a conversation when busy. Lots of outside seating, great for warmer days. Consistently good schweinshaxe. Cheesy spätzle is to die for.
Pretty darn good sandwich
Can't beat the beautiful view, and awesome beer. Get the Fort Salad. TRUST.
Great casual venue for a big group. I love the atmosphere and view.
Ordered a $16 beer cocktail we didn’t like and exchanged it for a regular $5 beer and we still were charged for the cocktail!!!! That should not have appeared on the bill.
I booked Radhaus for my birthday and couldn’t have been happier. My reservation grew from 12 people to 20 people and the staff was very accommodating. Love the view, love the vibe, food was better than I remembered. I highly recommend.
Beautiful space, all staff had great personalities, food and drinks were delicious.
The pea soup was good as well as the brussels sprouts. The lady who served me was very pleasant as well as the lady who escorted me to the table. I wish you had burgers in the evening.
One of the best dining experiences in San Francisco. Beautiful space, wonderful staff, amazing food.
The beer selection is great, and the food is good. I only wish there was better service. It was crazy busy, and loud, and my server seemed over worked. After patiently waiting, I finally had to flag him down—only to feel guilty because he was so busy. I don’t think I would have been served otherwise. Radhaus is a fine option if it’s not crazy busy. Forget it if it is.
Delicious second’ breakfast’ bowl! I could eat that every day! Fun, energetic vibe, casual and reasonably priced.
Good food, great beer selection Something for everyone.
Great Authentic German... live atmosphere and loud reverb. Fun if you don’t mind loud decibels.
Great choice of beers .
We went here for my husbands birthday with a large group of friends. We all have small children and everyone had lots of fun in a relaxed environment. The food was fabulous!
Excellent service and great ambience. Would go back again!
Amazing time as always at RadHaus. This is one of my favorite restaurants that is off the downtown tourist path. Fantastic service and delicious food!
The food and drinks are worth coming back for but the location and some patrons let this place down. It is a refurbished warehouse with zero sound insulation so it's very loud and noise carries everywhere. I don't know why any restaurateur wouldn't invest into better noise insulation, in this day and age there are lots of options! There were also quite a few families with small children that had no interest in eating or drinking but instead were very loud and annoying. The service was okay. We were give items we didn't order and a couple of servers tried to bring us items for other tables. The drinks were good - great German and other European beers that you don't see anywhere else as well as mixed drinks including glühwein. The food was also great although they weren't serving the dinner options as it was an all-day brunch (January 1). We liked the authentic decorations and accents throughout the place. And almost forgot to mention, the view of the bridge, especially at sunset, is quite special.
They have an interesting serving system where all servers share each table. It was efficient. Beer is reasonably priced. Latkes were out of this world! They were playing oldies like Tina Turner and Rod Stewart, loved it! It's in a peaceful spot, not too crowded.
Amazing service, stunning views and a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy German beers/food. Baby friendly too!
Bratwurst and beer were excellent. Vegetables were poorly cooked.
Great space, food is excellent. It all comes out family style so be prepared for appetizers to come around the same time as main course and for many servers to come to the table. Food is hearty, space reminds me of beer halls in Germany. Overall great experience.
The split pea soup was very good, but a little too salty.
The short ribs was very good, moist & tender.
The chairs were not comfortable.
Great location and fun concept. Short rib not as good as first visit.
Since I’m German I always love trying out new German/German inspired restaurants. I was disappointed by our experience. It was too loud and echoey to have a nice conversation. The food was mediocre especially for the price. The Schnitzel had no flavor to it and felt too greasy/soggy to me. The bratwurst was too salty and while the mustard seeds are nice for plating we would’ve loved some mustard - which they apparently don’t have. Our Obatzda appetizer was tasty but one thin pretzel for all that cheese (and $13) fell short. The decor and space is gorgeous, wish the food lived up to that!
Great views, different but nice eats and a great beer selection with a helpful and cool staff. Hard to beat.
Wish they had a kids menu. There were a lot of children there, no kid menu.
Great space, good food, and both times I’ve come to Radhaus the staff has been extremely friendly and attentive.
Food came out fast and tasted great. We got the snitzel, spatzle, curry quest and weiners. Beer list was everything you want for authentic German beer.
Really excellent staff, kind and helpful. Nice feeling. Rapid service. Satisfying menu. I will return and will recommend to friends and family, too.
The schnitzel was a little dry, but everything else was perfect, so all in all it was a great place to have dinner before a theater show.
Our experience was to try German food and beer. The food was quite tasty. We had bratwurst, spaetzel, curry wurst, salad, bread and beer. The portions unfortunately were quite small for the price. For five adults our meal was over $200. This dramatically lowers the value and would certainly influence our decision to return....
