I have not been here in a while and I was sadly disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t that packed and it took a long time for them to take our order an even longer for the food to come out which is then overcooked. The bathroom was disgusting and graffiti everywhere and was out of everything. I don’t think I will be going back for a while
The food was good and the server was nice but service was very slow. People were complaining all around us. We overheard they were very short staffed and it showed. It took a long time to get sat, a long time to get sat and a long time to take our order. The food came out great maybe a little overdone on the noodles but good. The bathroom was dirty and missing toilet paper in 1 stall
It was Presidents's day weekend , so I guess they were short staffed . Service was slow but understandable. Some of the items like soup was not available even though it was a standard offering with main course.
The food was good, but service was slow , probably because of high demand. Had to wait for sometime inspite of reservation.
But overall good buzzing ambience and good food, thanks to the chef and other team members, cheers..
I had a reservation on Valentine's night and they sat me right away even though there was a huge crowd without reservations. despite the level of business the service was good , the food was good and it was a very nice night
food was bland. i ordered chicken marsala and it tasted blah... ive had this before (maybe 5 yrs ago) and it was so good then that’s why i ordered it again..
Food was adequate. Service was aloof at best. Don’t think of coming back.
Met a girlfriend for lunch. When ordered ice tea the waiter came back and said all out of ice tea. This was lunch hour. How can they not have ice tea. Then after we finished out lunch we ordered coffee. Waiter came back and said no coffee. Don’t think I’d eat there again
Service and food were deplorable. Had to ask for everything multiple times, including utensils, drinks, entrees, desert and even the bill. Server was obviously overworked. When the entree finally arrived, the food was cold. It was so bad, that without even being asked, the server chose not to charge us for our meals.
Service was very poor and be excruciatingly slow. We were there for 2 hours when we should have been in-and-out in less than 1. We only got 1 refill and only because we had to ask. Thankfully the kitchen was on point as the food was hot and tasty when it came out nearly an hour later.
Our lunch with a chicken pasta and eggplant parmesan were tasty, but not outstanding. Adding on an all-you-can-eat soup or salad is a great option we took advantage of, however the featured soup was not ready until 2 hours after the restaurant opened. We enjoyed the friendly and efficient service. Tables are pretty close togehter so you can clearly hear the conversation from the neighboring tables.
They were about of two things I ordered..... lobster bisque and mushroom risotto balls. The manager came over Ryan and said he would come two of our entrees. The waitress came over with no change to the ticket. We let her know and then she came back with a 25% discount which did not cover the two entrees as stated. At this point we were just wanting to get out of there and didn’t bother with asking Ryan the manager why he did what he did. In addition, the person who sat us did not give points for open table. This has happened many times in many places. I sorta wonder why even bother to tell them your name and your reservation if they don’t bother to give you credit. Happened at the last restaurant I was at in SF a week or so ago. Pretty disappointed in the whole experience
Old waiter kept getting our order wrong. Restaurant seemed unorganized. Got my tip wrong as well. I like this place but gonna skip out this year. Maybe I’ll give them a try next year if management decides to change things for the better
Christmas night and the staff was light in numbers, which is expected on a holiday evening. However, they did a great job. The place was about 70% capacity, and the staff did a great job dealing with people trying to walk in and get seats. The food was very well prepared and our waiter was great! I know it’s tough being short staffed and having to deal with people who don’t understand that. Great job staff!!
One of the worst experiences we’ve had. The waiter, Jimmy was extremely rood, he literally threw the plates on the table, and just left the rest for us to hold on our hands as the table was full, but would not clear the table, Half the items on the menu were not available and he didn’t tell us until we had ordered and waited fir a good 30 min fir our order. We then had to re-order all over again. Didn’t get us bread, even when we asked 6 different times.
We have been coming here regularly but after this visit, will have to reconsider. Very disappointed with the service and the overall experience.
We had reservations on Christmas Day. From the start it was a bad experience. #1 after 30 minutes they let us know they were out of the tomato basil soup and soup of the day. They did not have the Petrole Sole which I had ordered. Had to ask where were our drinks after 30+ minutes. They served paper towels as napkins No salt and pepper on table. Our server disappeared and finally we got a new server who was really good and told us he had come all way from Sacramento to help out. Food when it came was bland We have eaten at Macaroni grill before and this visit was not up to their normal standards. Extremely disappointed and no one seemed to care.
Many menu items not available. They used bathroom paper towels for napkins. Food tasted good, but was luke warm. Staff seemed unhappy.
This reservation was not to be found when I checked in. I had to get my own vinegar and pepper for my salad. The advertised special dinner menu was removed when we got there, they said they ran out of food.
We were given thin paper towels one would find in the restroom for use as napkins. service stunk.
How does an Italian restaurant NOT have Lasagna or Chicken Parmesan or parmesan cheese for the pasta.
We should have eaten at the local diner. VERY disappointing.
The food was ok. The service was ok. The waiters were bussing their own tables. The restrooms were horrible! They were VERY dirty.
We had reservations on Christmas Day in the afternoon and was then seated. We ordered two entrees the salmon which was very good and tasty and the lamb which was boiled with really no flavor, but was tender. May come back to try the pasta dishes. Overall the service was ok since it was a holiday and got real busy after we left.
Took a long time to clean table. Food was cold.
Three of us dined here for a birthday. Great service. Great “Sidecar” cocktails. Great food. And the waiter even sang “Happy Birthday” in Italian! Great experience!
My complaint is not solely about the food, it is also about the service received by the manager & server.
1) Chicken Parmesan was ordered as our usual go to for past 7 years. It was HALF THE PORTION of what we usually received in the past. I questioned the portion as did my husband and we were told it was this way always. We know it’s not true as the yelp pictures provided proof, as telling the employees about what we usually received didn’t serve as enough reason.
2) We were sat all the way in the back at a huge table for 7, there were only 2 of us and our baby. Okay no problem, but then my husband feels something wet, his shoe was soaked in water puddle under the table. The waitress did spill a glass of water but this water was there already.
3) We had to wait 20 minutes for bread, we appreciate it is complimentary, but it takes 4 minutes in the oven and we noticed our waitress being more attentive to a large party versus us, so we were not surprised it was taking so long.
We went on Thanksgiving primarily because I like a traditional turkey dinner and my wife wants to order off of an open menu. We went at 5PM and they were completely out of the traditional Turkey dinners they were advertising. That seems like very poor planning and was quite disappointing. Otherwise, everything was good.
I appreciate the workers working on Thanksgiving. I was disappointed in the small drumstick I received and no other meat. Otherwise the meal was good. Romano's is better Italian food than a turkey.
Seated quickly, good service, food was hot and a lot of it.
The only negative was that I checked in and told the hostess I had made reservations through open table, but she did not note that. I got a "no show" email form open table which was eventually resolved.
Rated food low Since my pork chop dish I ordered was very raw. I had to send it back and get a new order. Disappointing!
Service was slow and no bread available. However server gave us a discount.
Far better than I expected and I wonder why more people are not taking advantage of this restaurant.
Great service and good food. Good for business dinner.
I really do wish my portion was the same each time. Every time I come I order the same thing. Chicken parmigiana. Each time the portion of pasta seems to get smaller than before. Now I’m also paying for extra cheese.
Hadn't been her for a long time, but received a BOGO for lunch and decided to go back. Better than I remembered. Good food, great price, and an excellent waiter. They need to do some maintenance on their rest room, but the restaurant was lovely.
They seemed a little short handed tonight, but our waiter, who was also the bartender, did a fantastic job. The food was hearty a tasted great.
It’s been awhile since I ate here. Romanos is still serving very tasty food. I had grill salmon with rice. The salmon was nicely cooked. Very moist and fresh flavor. I ordered Korbel brut, loved it! For dessert I ordered the lemon cake.......Yum!
We waiting 30 minutes to have our drink order taken and an hour and half to get food and one of our orders never came
Love this place. Even when they screw up the order. It’s good. Even when they reduce the roll your own menu. Still best in town.
Many dishes on the menu are out, including the bread!! Meals are less tasty than before. It’s a shame since it was one of my favorite restaurant in the area.
good environment for any business lunch, not that crowded anymore.. like it, a bit slow for food but it is acceptable.
Made brunch reservations for 10am. Got there and signs say open at 10 am for brunch. Was told I was wrong about the reservations because they got an internal email saying that they were now open for brunch at 11am. This was bull!! We left and ate somewhere else! Ruined out brunch plans.
Most people were under dressed for a nice restaurant no dress code was like eating at mc Donald’s one guy came in with no shirt
