Roti's Mixed Seafood Curry
Fresh Fish, Prawns and Calamari cooked w/herbs and spices in a rich, tomato curry sauce
We had a delicious dinner with friends at Roti Bistro. The service was excellent and the host gracious. We sampled the pakoras, chicken jalfrezi, paneer makhani and a vegan aloo gobi. All were well prepared, tasty and authentic. We especially loved having the option to dine in their outdoor space. We will definitely return soon!
Excellent food, nice atmosphere and great service. I'll definitely be back soon!
We were seated as soon as we arrived. We did not like where the table was so they moved us with no problem. I ordered a bottle of wine that was unavailable so they gave us another choice and only charged us the corkage fee 15$. Amazing customer service!!! The food was yummy and prices very reasonable. We will definitely return and recommend Roti Bistro.
Delicious flavors, great menu, very friendly staff, one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco
Roti is back to pre-pandemic excellence! We had a most charming lunch outside in their pop out area. Great service and delicious food from their new chef. They are also now serving marvelous cocktails (Try the eggplant pakora with one.), and their wine list has increased in sophistication, as well. Their prices are quite reasonable; the “feast” is an incredible value. Less than a block from the West Portal Muni, it’s great for lunch or dinner.
Great to be open for indoor dining. Best Indian food in SF.
Go often and love it every time
We loved Roti! We sat outside in the temporary Covid-era seating so I can't say much about the ambience. The staff were all friendly and the service was good. Roti has recently acquired a liquor license and they're making Indian-style variations on traditional cocktails - really yummy. We were thrilled to find so many vegan options, including a delicious salad of mango, watermelon, and tomato, an entree special stew of sprouted beans which was delicious and an absolutely fantastic pureed squash soup. The agloo gobi was great too! The halibut curry was a bit of a let-down compared the other dishes: the yellow curry sauce was great, but the fish was sub-par (frozen, maybe?) and a bit tough. Overall the experience was great, the food was mostly great, and we're already looking forward to returning.
Dined with out of town friends who specifically requested a dinner at Roti Indian Bistro. Wonderful as always. I noticed they are doing a brisk take-out business with the Covid-19 concerns. Nice to know.
This is one of favorite restaurants. The food is wonderful (chicken tikki masala!) and service always attentive but not intrusive. We always order a lot so we have leftovers!
Apps - Fish pakoras and lamb skewers - both apps were really under seasoned. Fish pakoras were cooked well but quite bland. Lamb skewers were slightly overcooked so a little chewy
Main course - chicken korma and lamb keema. Especially requested for the dishes to be seasoned well. Korma was excellent, keema was okay. The bread basket was quite good too even though the onion kulcha was not what it was supposed to be. Overall a good experience. Will certainly come back but would probably avoid any lamb dishes.
Great food. Unfortunately too loud for easy conversation with my dinner partners.
This restaurant is awesome. Great food, and I look forward to it every time I eat here.
Consistently serving a fine meal. Regular additions to the menu are fun and interesting. This is one of our go too restaurants that we enjoy alone or with newbies to Indian cuisine. Consistently gracious welcome and service.
We live in Nopa and always drive 15min. across town to visit Roti. We believe it is the BEST Indian food in the city - hands down!
Best Indian food in the Bay Area!
Food was so flavorful and fresh! We loved it!
We've eaten here many time. Might be the best Indian cuisine in town.
Food was a bit disappointing, not as good as usual. Very busy Sat. night though; we tend to go mid-week which may be the reason.
Always amazing food and service!
The owner is always nice and accomodating
Excellent Indian food, though a little of the expensive side compared to lesser Indian restaurants. Well worth it for a special occasion.
The best Indian food in San Francisco. It’s refreshing to taste the flavors of the spices. Top quality lamb and chicken.
Everything is always delicious. The whole head of cauliflower is fantastic.
The food is excellent. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you choose. We've had many dishes here, all good. I like the mango lassie too. Genial host. A neighborhood gem.
We tried the seafood in a nice tomato sauce. Nice white fish, calamari, and prawns. Very yummy.
Excellent Indian food with a friendly staff. You’ll be hard pressed to find better Indian food on the city.
Best Indian food in the US.
I’ve been coming here for years and the food is consistently outstanding. Well worth a visit—or a return if you’re already familiar.
Wonderful food, convenient location, good service and very friendly staff. A winning combination for a a great dinner experience for a group of four - thank you!
A favorite neighborhood place. Love the freshness of the food and the warm and welcoming staff
Food is nicely spiced and wait staff friendly and attentive. It is not very noisy so easy to have a normal conversation.
Delicious as always. Warm, friendly atmosphere.
Some food was great and other was really mediocre. Saag gosht wonderful; fried calamari almost uneatable. Space is nice but really noisy so go early before it fills up.
Pleasant early dining with real Indian flavors freshly prepared. Special treatment from the restaurant manager re where to buy Indian food products in the Bay Area (try Berkeley). Will definitely return.
This is our neighborhood Indian restaurant, and while there are better places for Indian cuisine in SF Roti wins with its ambiance and service. We love their vegetable samosas, vindaloos and rotating monthly specials. My only complaint is that rice is not included in an entree order, which seems odd. Who eats chicken vindaloo without rice?
ALWAYS good. We have never had poor service or a bad meal here, over many years. Consistently great.
This place is hands down my favorite Indian restaurant in the entire Bay Area. I live in Anza Vista and drive 20+ minutes just to go to this particular restaurant. Go...you will not be disappointed.
Excellent food and superb service at Roti for family dinner of 7
Great food and service !
The only issue is that our 3 orders of NaN came after the meal along with another dish.
