Dinner was fabulous. I had the bolognese and my husband had the pork chop - both delicious. My only complaint was that our table was near a window and I felt a draft during dinner. Very uncomfortable. Other than that it was a great experience.
Ambiance perfect, food excellent ( portions on the smaller side ) and service was great!
Food was delicious, service great, and the atmosphere was really quaint.
Great Italian restaurant in a cave like location. The ambiance was that of a proper restaurant which we really appreciated. The food was excellent, unfortunately the service not so much. Plates with some food on them were taken away without asking even though we were still working on it. Same with the bottle of wine which still had wine in it. Water refills were also rare it had to be asked for. I'd have thought that a restaurant like this would train their staff better.
The perfect Valentine’s Day date night!
Half of the lobster rosottto came out cold. Server never asked is we wanted a second drink.
Great meal even with mushy risotto. We will be back for another date night.
We went for the first time on Valentines Day. Everything from the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food was exceptional! The gnocchi was the best I had ever had, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend it and would definitely go again.
I love that all plates include fresh pasta. It was clear that the pomdoro sauce was made without meat, but it had the lovely zing of a fresh tomato. Likewise, the sausage was fresh made. The calamari appetizer was lightly battered and full of flavor - maybe the best calamari I've had outside of Manhattan. Another unexpected pleasure was that the wine list had choices from the full price spectrum, not just low-end and not just high-priced selections
This was my second time for dinner and it was THE BEST! If I could give the 10 stars I would . The meals exceeded my expectations. The pasta was outstanding, the wine was paired perfectly with our meal and our server was the best. Will for sure go back.
Great Italian food, big menu, big portions, good service, what more could you ask for?
We went to Russo for my wife’s birthday right before a show at the Hanover Theater. Nick was awesome as our waiter and we were not rushed. From appetizers to main course to desert was exceptional.
Enjoyed the homemade pasta, thought the portions were a little small but tasty.
First visit to Russo's by an experienced couple. Top notch Italian restaurant that has the potential to really stand out in Worcester. Great meal, ambiance and service.
We absolutely love Russo's and have been many times now. Whether we have a group or just my husband and I it is the best! Service is amazing (always smiling and friendly) and quick. The food is the best. We will keep coming back!
While the service was a bit slow, our server was kind and pleasant. The cuisine was excellent! Try the pork chop. Hands down the best I’ve ever devoured.
The food was very good. Excellent specials. The restaurant is very nice. Beautiful decor and the service was excellent!
Great old world Italian vibe. Standard fare for the most part, with some interesting twists here and there. Pasta made from scratch, really good sauce. Lots of drink options too. Service was a tad slow, but we weren’t in a rush so it didn’t bother us too much. Would come back again for sure.
My Husband and Family have been here twice Love it all around ❤️
We had a great time! The service and food were very good.
Homemade pasta, unique and creative dishes to say the least. What I found more admirable was the waitress’ deep knowledge of the menu and wine selection. She even took us to another room to take our group picture. We felt special!
outstanding service and attention to details...and the food was great too!
Very disappointed; this was our fifth visit to Russo and we found the food not up to the usual standard of greatness. My veal marsala was one big cutlet that was very tough and a large amount of pasta. My husband said his carbonara was "fair". On other occasions, my husband had the veal marsala twice and felt it was outstanding......this seemed to be an off night for the restaurant, being mid-week, perhaps the usual excellent chef wasn't cooking. No excuse for the inconsistency in food compared to our other visits.
Just good old fashion Italian food. It was like eating at my husband's grandmother's.
Very loud in back room. Cold air coming through stone wall. Food too salty.
Well we didn’t know what to expect but as we entered we we’re very surprised at how quaint and earthy it was with all the Stone kind of like the north end of Boston The service was outstanding from the moment we entered and remained so thru out our evening. Now the food if you have a great chef and the owner is present I think the restaurant has a great chance to be highly successful. The food was outstanding I had frutti de mare and it was steaming hot and the right color and above all the fish was very fresh also I had homemade sausage which I’ve never had because nobody does that all in all the night was a 10!
We enjoyed our dinner. The room is lovely, but very noisy. Needs some soft fabrics to absorb the sound. The server’s pacing was a bit slow. Overall we had a nice dinner.
Great food and cocktails. The server was very attentive and knew her way around the menu. I would definitely go back again.
Russo’s Restaurant family dinner was outstanding! I booked reservations online for a small group for a birthday dinner.
The staff was so accommodating and the service went beyond expectations ~
Outstanding ~ Food. Atmosphere. Service. Ambience.
Kudos to the chef for an inventive and decadent menu served.
The total eating experience was flawless.
My family and I will definitely visit again.
We enjoyed our dinner at Russo’s. Seating in the back room against the wall it tight and three tables on each side is too tight. Management should consider making it two on each side
Our meal began pleasantly enough. We had a couple of appetizers, the arancini was
great, the smelts were liked by one in our party of four....definitely a taste preference. The cocktails: I had a glass of Chianti, which was good, but boy oh boy, what a skimpy pour! I'm not sure if was even 4 oz! Now, the meals....My husband had the veal saltimbucca. It was so salty he couldn't eat it. He returned it and got the veal marsala. Again, very salty. He didn't want to complain again, so are some of the meat, but couldn't eat the pasta. My carbonara was a bit salty, but just okay, as were the other 2 meals. I feel if a meal is returned, it should be replaced and comped! Ridiculous to pay for dinner out and not be satisfied. Our waitress was efficient, but not terribly friendly....all business. Not sure if we will give it another chance or not. Italian restaurants are abundant in Worcester. These chefs need to throw away their salt shakers.
The food was delicious. My daughter got the pork chop which was huge and cooked perfectly. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant reminded us of a restaurant we ate at in Rome. Definitely will be back!
Our dinner was fantastic and our server, Sue was amazing!
Served the wrong food, then had food come out cold. While they were willing to make good on it, it wasn’t the same experience we had previously. Waitress was very apologetic however she wasn’t in our area a lot. They also changed the meal as I have had it before and it was not even close to the same.
There were 6 of us, everyone liked their meals except one person who ordered the carbonara. The meatball appetizer and the red sauce were phenomenal. Service was super slow at the beginning, and not very attentive. I get that it’s a new restaurant and they are working on their systems, so we will definitely give it another try because for the most part the food was very good and not overpriced at all.
The bartender had to make the drinks for all the tables and people sitting in the bar area so it took very long to get a drink. They really need to have two people on a weekend night making drinks.
Our waitress was very slow coming back to our table to check on us to see if we needed anything else.
We chose Russo to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary, and mentioned that in our reservation on Open Table. We were disappointed that neither the manager (owner) nor hostess who both greeted us acknowledged this. We were seated smack in the center of a very tightly arranged dining room. Our server, Denise, was very pleasant and her efforts were appreciated throughtout our meal. Food comes out piping hot as it is ready. Artichoke and smelt appetizers were quite plentiful and tasty, but we had to wrap ½ of each to save room for our meal! Both the red-sauced pasta and the sausage/rabe pesto pasta dishes were excellent. All-Italian wine list is limited but with excellent choices by the glass and by the bottle. By-the-glass pours are done at the table and need to be measured better as they can be inconsistent. It's difficult for less-experienced servers to eyeball their pours. Also, when switching from a white to a red wine, fresh glasses should be provided despite the fact that this is a more "casual" restaurant. My husband had his glass of red poured into the same glass that he had just finished of his white wine, and the pour was far less than what he had received when the white was poured. The tiramisu (my husband's favorite) was surprisingly terrible. Dry cake layers without a hint of coffee liquer that should have been soaked into it. Heavy, thick (too thick) cream layers did not resemble anything like any tiramisu we've ever had. There was no sweetness, almost as if the chef forgot sugar in the entire recipe. It tasted like unsweetened cannoli filling. We did not expect but did appreciate that Denise immediately took the item off our bill without us asking, and actually thanked us for our feedback. We may try Russo again in the future, but certainly not for a special occasion. Maybe because they are still pretty new that they need to work out the kinks a bit.
Great atmosphere, great food.. Loved it!!
Gnocci with lobster ,overdone, very chewy, tiny lobster pieces from legs ate 2 gnocci.
Veal parm not prepared well. Make 2 thin rather than I huge pieces.
Waitress was excellent, she was put in a tough spot
Poor product, poor prep and building of dishes!
Fantastic waitress fantastic food. I recommend going
