Saint Lawrence Spirits On The River Chateau
Eclectic and tasty menu
Best meal we have had since relocating back to the north country in the spring.
My husband and I have been going to the Chateau for the past year and a half and we have such an amazing time every time we go, we get to have a conversation without music or TV screaming around you. They treat you like a queen and king, it is so nice to walk in and they know you by your first name.
The “date night “ special is a great treat during the week !
we love this place for dinner. drive all the way from Rochester and it is well worth the trip
A beautiful location with exceptional food and service. Jessica B our server was friendly knowledgeable and polite. When our dinner order needed to be changed due to an allergy she worked very hard to come up with a reasonable alternative. The food was superb. We can’t wait to go back in the day light to appreciate fully the ambience
A delightful meas with friends at the Chateau. The duck was excellent and the sauce sublime. Schnitzel was right out of a Bavarian Inn. Salads dressings were obviously home made and Burrville cider dressing and Maple Dijon were yummy. Had wonderful service as well.
Extraordinary culinary and overall experience. We always enjoy the visit. This place continues to impress us every time we go!
Food was great, service was great, did not disappoint! Would definitely come again soon.
We discovered Chateau at the beginning of summer and have visited several times with friends and family. The food is outstanding, service is fantastic, and you can't beat the sunsets on the St. Lawrence River. We'll be back next summer!
Great service, lovely view and super good food! Had a very good experience.
Outstanding experience from
An innovative menu combined with outstanding service and a magnificent view provided a great brunch experience.
My family has a cottage in the area and my husband and I have been wanting to check out the building and restaurant for a long time. We finally had a chance to go for brunch today. I’m upset we haven’t gone sooner! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming! I really appreciate feeling welcomed when visiting restaurants. The building is beautiful, and the views were, as well.
The food was great! My husband had a skillet which was way more than enough food and was really good. I had the french toast, which I can say was the best french toast I’ve ever had. Some how over the years together, we have become coffee snobs and we were very impressed with the coffee.
I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family here and to try it for dinner!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Thank you St. Lawrence Spirits Chateau! We were warmly greeted, then seated in an intimate alcove for two. We enjoyed a glass of Prosecco as we looked over the menu. Jess, our server, was attentive and friendly without being overwhelming. We both had a Caesar salad to begin the meal. There is nothing quite as enjoyable as classic Caesar dressing, with just a hint of lemon and anchovies on fresh crisp romaine. My husband had Schnitzel and I had grilled salmon over couscous and asparagus, served with a delicious lemon caper sauce. To end the meal, we shared the bourbon pecan tart.
While it was too chilly to sit outside and enjoy the view of the River, we sat next to a window and watched as a ship silently drifted by. We both had a cocktail made with their signature spirits. It was a delightful evening of impeccable service, great food and beautiful River views. Don’t pass up the opportunity to dine here.
I had breaded pork cutlet. Breading was a good crunchy. The meat was just on the dry side and without taste. There was some sauce but not enough to moisten the meat or impart flavor. The German style potatoes were excellent and the kraut was great ! I would not order the pork cutlet again. My partner ordered the Salmon and she ate every morsel ! She NEVER eats ALL of the food on her plate, so that tells you how much she liked her meal. For desert we had Banana's Foster which was prepared tableside and was a LOT of fun. Delicious as well ! Again, my gal ate WAY more than usual.
Our server was very good at her job but could have used a little bit more of a smile.
Ambiance of the restaurant is quiet and very relaxing and conducive to a good time.
The wine by the glass was just ok. My partner had Pinot Grigio, I had Merlot. The wine is severely overpriced with a miserly portion. We are wine drinkers but that chincey ridiculously over-priced portion really caught our attention so we nursed the single glass through our meal. Had they poured a decent portion in relation to the price we probably would have ordered our normal several glasses each. $11.00 for about a quarter of a glass is egregious gouging.
Absolutely fantastic, whiskey tasting, amazing room and outstanding food. The view is also stunning and Mark and Pete bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. Definitely recommend!!
Gourmet food that left enough room for desert. Rueben was outstanding & quiche was light and fluffy. Best tiramisu that I ever had! Once finished, our visit to the tasting room was both educational and experiential.
We had the most amazing brunch to celebrate our anniversary! They even offered us complimentary champagne. Wonderful service, food and location. We will certainly be returning!
We have dined at the Chateau several times and have never been disappointed. Chef Ives is doing an awesome job keeping the menu new and exciting. The staff made dinning a wonderful experience as always. Our night ended with a delicious Chocolate Carrot cake that was over the top. No doubt the Chateau continues to be the number one place on the river.
Beautiful building and setting. Food was wonderful. Will be coming back. We were from norwood waddington and long lake. The day was perfect.
Amazing atmosphere, service, drinks, and food! Christian Ives you are amazing and our waitress Mackenzie was superb. An amazing experience and we cannot wait to go back!
Brunch was excellent. Extensive menu to choose from. Prices are moderate.
Above and beyond expectations
Date Night was a wonderful experience from the minute we walked in and a young man offered to take our coats to the attentive, knowledgeable, friendly waitstaff, and the delicious, creative food. We will be back!
We had date night, it was excellent :) We had a great view, great wait staff and even better food and beverages! Can't wait to go back again :)
The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent. The whole experience was delightful!
An beautiful location, tastefully appointed restaurant, with excellent, experienced staff and terrific dining for a special occasion. Compliments to chef and staff.
The temperature is set to accommodate the wait staff NOT the customers
Fabulous views from the outside tables & from the bar
They must have been in a hurry some of the eggs were over cooked
Birthday brunch. Came by boat, exceptional food!
Sunday brunch during jazz fest weekend in nearby Clayton on a magnificent Sunday morning. We sat outside and were there at 10AM when they opened for the day. So our wait to get our meal seemed slightly delayed but it tough I’m sure when a full dining area wants to order at the same time. They did a good job of bringing our Bloody Marys and following up with coffee being offered. The food was excellent as always and service from the wait staff top level. It’s a great place and brunch is a super value.
Food was underwhelming- 3 of 4 dishes were bland and simplistic. Drink service was slow. Great view.
Very happy with the quality of service we received from Peter and Shauna.
Very professional indeed. For us the quality of service is the whole point.
We are very glad Peter asked some very load ladies to lower their joy of the evening noise.
best wishes to all.
Also we were very pleased that we could start our evening there at 8pm and were never rushed. Everything was perfect.
We would also highly recommend their own Gin. We are traditionaly Tanquary drinkers but the gin here is wonderful.

What a gem in the Thousand Islands! The service and ambiance was impeccable. The food was very good. The best Caprese salad I have ever had. The Cilantro Lime chicken with polenta was delicious. The portions were hardy...good thing because I didn't want it to end!
The Chateau is one of our favorite restaurants here in the area anyway but our visit last Saturday was by far one of the best we've had there. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere relaxing and the food, paired with a good bottle of wine, simply divine (Veal Arancini for hubby and Saffron & Lobster Pappardelle for me)... not to mention the craft cocktails amazing as always (Hunter's Cocktail is a favorite)... had a truly wonderful date night and can't wait to go back!!!
Very good food very knowledgeable staff it’s not a once a week place due to prices but once a year we will go for sure. We will actually look foreword to it every year
Brunch was unbelievable but then again, that’s why we keep going back! The skillet corned beef hash and eggs were superb and the chicken and waffles were as well. Prompt and friendly service. The views are unparalleled on the river.
Excellent service! Great food, including many gluten free options!!! Will definitely be back!
This place is absolutely superb. The view of the St. Lawrence River from the deck is just unbelievable, service is impeccable, and the food and cocktails are absolutely delicious. This is fine dining at its best on the river.
Great meal, great wine, awesome staff, and spectacular view!!!
Our dining experience was excellent starting with bartender to our servers. It was a perfect evening to sit out on the terrace and enjoy cocktails overlooking the river. The bartender came out and served us a second time without having to go get a second round ourselves. Our meal was excellent as well as the service. What was an overall excellent experience. Each time we have been there our dining experience was outstanding. We definitely will be back again.
